Absolutely beautiful church. The current Argentine pope was baptized here. Make sure to take your time to look at every part of the interior as there are so many major and minor details to identify. Worth the visit! ⛪✝️

A monumental Salesian church in the Almagro neighborhood built at the beginning of the 20th century. Pope Francis was baptized in this church.

The most beautifull church in the Almagro neighbourhood. Built in the early 1900s by the salecian order.

A beautiful jewel hiding in plain sight. Not especially noticeable from the street, but upon entering be ready to be amazed! Glorious details and architectural delights.

It is peaceful and relaxing..it is a church. You don't order anything there, unless you want to get married.there.

Found this amazing basílica by chance and it happened to be where Pope Francis was baptized. ;-)

This church may not look very special from the outside, but the interior is absolutely amazing. A little over 100 years old, and the place where Pope Francis was baptized, it's a must visit. I'm not sure why it's off the grid for tourists, because in my opinion it is one of the best Looking churches in BA. Just make sure you go when they are open...they seem to have off hours.

Amazing basilica in the heat of Almago. Fantastic architecture and very well taken care of building. Closed in the afternoon so plan a morning visit - better light anyway.

This is one of the prettiest churches I have seen in the world and one of my most favorite. It is where pope Francis was baptized, the architecture is first romanesque and it's worth making it part of your visit to Buenos Aires it is located in barrio de almagro which is a very walkable and safe neighborhood.
