Great new hotel in a prime location. The service is excellent - the GM and staff are super helpful and friendly. The food here is a-mazing! The breakfast, the Spanish afternoon tea and tapas, the 360-degree cuisine at Mai Restaurant and Bar ... I could go on and on about how much I loved it. The 360-degree cuisine is made from fresh local produce from nearby organic sustainable farmers, with minimal harm to the environment. The hotel walks the talk in terms of sustainability. Awe-inspiring views of Chiang Mai from my room and Mai Restaurant and Bar. The hotel's design is really clever in that it references Chiang Mai's culture and history. Can't recommend this hotel highly enough. We'll be back.

From the moment I arrived at The Meliá Chiang Mai I was treated like a VIP Front Office/Rooms manager greeted me and absolutely every member of staff excelled in there respective roles. The room was large and really comfortable and the bathroom really nice. Breakfast was nothing short of sensational and again the staff here were amazing. I will be back for sure and will definitely be staying here again. Thank you Melia Chiang Mai for a memorable stay.

Just dint feel the 5-star standard here yet. Love the location, just very convenient located in an area where you can just walk to so many places. Hotel is still in a very mint condition, love the lobby area, well decorated and designed. The room is rather small and low ceiling though. Breakfast was pretty good, variety of food, but nothing stood out.

In the past 12 years we have stayed in many 5-Star hotels in Thailand, and this is the first hotel that have trained staff in all areas of its operations to provide an excellent customer experience. From the first contact at the entrance doors, to checking-in, to concierge assistance, through to the restaurant and even house-keeping. The services provided by all these areas are excellent and reflects the high levels of staff training within the hotel. It is a credit to the hotel’s management. In most cases when we travel we find the occasional person on staff that shines, but at Melia there is a consistently high level of service in all areas of its operations. Thank you for a wonderful customer experience.! 🙏

Very beautiful hotel. Clean and spacious room. The gym is quite nice and clean. There is a smith machine (which is quite rare for hotels in Chiang Mai). The only problem was encountering a family with small kids above our room. Was quite disturbed by the non stop stomping from 6pm to 9pm almost every night. The hotel staff was kind enough to arrange another room for us but we have decided to stay in the same room anyway. There is a nice supermarket (Rimping) which is 500m walk from the hotel.

For a big hotel, we loved it as you can choose Club Level and separate from the masses which for us as boutique hotel enthusiasts is a must. Pre-arrival we had a few challenges with Reservations, both people and technology, however after being contacted by a lovely woman at reception named Tarn, the challenges disappeared as she was effective and understanding with a focused service mind. The room was great, albeit a little small, yet very efficient with fresh design. Next time I may take the Level Premium or Level Suite, but for this one night stay, more than adequate. Sky Bar was lovely with a great beverage program, food less interesting. The real stand out was the afternoon team at Level Lounge led by George! He’s a superstar. There was nothing too much trouble for he and his team as related to all guests and he seemed to know everyone and everything about Chiang Mai giving amazing advice. Worth coming back just to engage with this man. Breakfast service at Level leaves room for improvement but the world is not perfect and we are blessed to have these 1st world problems. Definitely will return.

The front desk staff are wonderful and very kind and efficient. The reason for the 3 stars is that it is a high price to pay for rooms with dirty carpets in the hallways, poor TV reception (most of the channels did not work) and rooms with no closets anywhere. But the pillows are very good and the blankets are excellent. The food Staff are excellent but the food is terrible. I would go there again because of the location but le meridian may be a better choice.

Just spent 5 nights here and it was absolutely lovely. Service at this hotel was impeccable and every member of staff we dealt with was always smiling and extremely helpful. Rooms are very spacious. We had a premium room on the 6th floor and had no noise from above. Beds are very comfortable and having the lounge spaces is great to unwind. Breakfast was good and plenty of variety for all dietary requirements. Location of the hotel is good and easy access to the night bazaar. Don’t hesitate to book this hotel, you don’t be disappointed.

Great spread for breakfast, can order iced coffee etc. excellent service, new hotel and very clean rooms, comfortable bed. Fun kids corner and lovely swimming pool area. Staff are very polite and it’s accessible, can walk and take cab/tuktuk easily to places around for food and shopping. Worth the money for the comfort and luxury. Spa was quite nice but not the cheapest. Will go back again and recommend it to anyone.

5 star appeal without attitude. Friendly, attentive staff. Good food and drink choices throughout the hotels F & B options. We enjoyed the Carvery in the lobby restaurant along with good wine but the live singer was too loud and intrusive as dinner entertainment. She made conversation across the table impossible and sorry but the quality of her voice with the digital backing track was terrible. Not 5 *****

The clean rooms along with the stylish and cozy interior design and the helpful staff makes me feel like home. The range of food in breakfast is impressively vast (Thai, Western, Asian etc.) and are in high quality. Stylish rooftop bar that enables a panoramic view to Chiang Mai’s skyline. Convenient location - less than 10 mins on taxi to the old town. Would highly recommend.

I had a wonderful experience staying at Melia Chiang Mai for the YSEALI event. The 24-hour gym facilities were fantastic and had everything I needed, and the breakfast was absolutely delicious and had a great variety. Even though I don't eat pork for religious reasons, I was still able to find plenty of tasty options. The room I stayed in had a gorgeous view and was impeccably clean throughout my stay. I truly appreciate how responsive and thorough the hotel staff were in keeping the room tidy and comfortable. When I needed an envelope for personal use, the staff went above and beyond to provide it for me. Everyone I interacted with was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and I look forward to choosing this hotel for future trips. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

We stayed here in the Level's room type. Everything is pretty good, At the restaurant on the 21st floor The food is delicious and reasonably priced, best service staffs. A big kids club for children to spent time. There is a little complaint that the staffs on 2nd floor (Kids club) should be more friendly. Thank you.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Huge selection of food for breakfast. Only a few minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the night market. The rooms are a good size. At first didn't like the glass wall into the bathroom from the bedroom, but then found that there is a blind you can pull down. Very helpful that the plug sockets are designed to accept plugs from pretty much anywhere, saves messing around with adapters. Swimming pool is small but nice, with a small jacuzzi function. Views from rooftop bar are pretty cool too! Would definitely stay again if back in the area.

This hotel is amazing. My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights as part of a 3 week trip to Thailand. The hotel is modern and clean and very reasonably priced compared to others we had visited during our trip. The room was spacious and had a nice seating area beside the window. We went for a drink on the rooftop bar and i would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the hotel. The views at night from the bar are stunning. I used their gym and the gym equipment was all very modern. If you are going to Chiang Mai I would recommend staying at Melia.

Great hotel located in the heart of the city just next to the night market. We stayed for 3 nights and had lounge access that comes with the Level premium rooms. Rooms were huge and beds very comfortable. House cleaning did a great job daily and made sure we always had fresh towels. Little touches like giving us a chocolate treat daily was appreciated. We had breakfast in the lounge on the 21st storey and you get alcohol and canapes in the evening too which is great. We did spa and massage treatment in the hotel which was excellent. Service all around was amazing and every staff was friendly and made us feel welcomed. The pool and gym was great too. One suggestion I would give is to consider giving more perks to your Gold members such as room upgrades.

Meliá Chiang Mai Hotel offers an overall positive experience with its generous breakfast and commendable amenities. The breakfast spread is particularly noteworthy, providing a generous selection. However, it's worth mentioning that one aspect to consider is the room's low ceiling and lack of a view. Despite this, the hotel manages to provide a comfortable stay, and if a room with a view is a priority, it's advisable to inquire about available options. Overall, a satisfying stay with a minor consideration for room aesthetics.

Currently staying here. Absolutely beautiful property. Love the couch next to the window of the room to look out over the city. Breakfast is delicious and good quality. We are in the level rooms and nightly free flow cocktails was heaven with great wine choices. Loved the location. Pool was great. Can’t complain at all. Staff are wonderful and attentive!

I have been lucky enough to visit the Melia Chiang Mai on several occasions including a full hotel tour. This review is about their once a month Friday evening special buffet and it was spectacular. I have also visit for day and night events and the staff are amazing. Firstly the meat selection is impressive and the carvery well done, hot vegetables, pastas and other dishes were great also. They have a good selection of seafood available, plus salads, cheese and cold deli meats. Wine and beer is available free flow(extra costs), but water is served regularly. The best part for me personally were the desserts and especially the chocolate brownies which are up there with the best I have ever eaten, cheesecake, Thai desserts, ice cream and toppings are available also with some "special" strawberry ice blocks.

Excellent stay from the standard of the room to the attention and friendliness of the staff to the location and finally the breakfast, which is top class! The pool and gym are also excellent. Only fault we have would be the bar closing at 10 downstairs. Great stay and really recommend!

My partner, family, and friends enjoyed our stay at Melia Chiang Mai. I loved that the hotel is located incredibly close to the airport as we were only there for one night. I found the staff to be incredibly professional and helpful. The hotel itself is definitely a 5 star experience as well as incredibly clean. The only issue I found with my stay was that there were small ants in my bed that I found the morning I was checking out. I shared this with the front desk while checking out and they did not prioritize this concern. I would recommend to family and friends to stay at this hotel for the service received, location, and price.

A hotel that out of my expectations. Staffs all fluent in English and super efficient! They all are super helpful and caring. Room is clean and appreciated that the hotel embedded sustainability (i.e. interior design and minimized one-time essentials). Breakfast is good which many options. Fitness and swimming facilities are also great, which sufficient for people exercising.

Absolutely amazing place. We had a Club Level room with access to the Level lounge on the 21st floor. George and Eunika missed no details at taking care of us, always remembering our family. The chef is amazing and had vegetarian options ready for me that looked like the ones with shrimp and meat but used meat alternatives like mushrooms. There is always freshly prepared food, as well as a cocktail of the day. Lovely city view and relaxing atmosphere. They are very helpful at getting city tours organized as well.

Beautiful hotel and great location! Check in was not as welcoming and thorough as expected for such a beautiful hotel. We arrived late, around 11pm so it wasn't very busy. The concierge asked us to wait and have a seat because she was finishing up with clients at her desk. She then proceeded to help 2 other people that came after us because they came to her desk after she finished with the previous guests. There were 2 other concierge available but she didn't ask them to help us. Though she did apologize, it felt like she rushed us to the elevator just to hurry up and finish. The other concierge were giving thorough explanations of the hotel, restaurants and amenities with open and closing times but ours did not. I had to inquire multiple times regarding our facilities. House keeping only gave us new towels. They did not clean the bathroom counters, mirrors and mini bar area. They did not remove dirty cups and empty recycling in the room. Disappointment in that. Overall, though we have travelled to Thailand many, many times, for our first time in Chiang Mai, for a 5 star hotel, it wasn't as we expected. We stayed 6 days 5 nights.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was very clean and spacious. The hotel had excellent amenities including a “kidsdom” playpen for kids. The restaurant at the hotel served a wonderful breakfast buffet, and otherwise the food available at the restaurant was reasonably priced. The hotel is in a terrific location, a few minutes away from the night markets, and weekend markets. Would definitely recommend and would return in a heartbeat.

One of the most amazing hotels I've ever stayed in. The property is beautiful and very conveniently located. Great pool, amazing and delicious breakfast, super relaxing spa, great service, and the most attentive staff ever. They took care of everything I needed quickly. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and homey. Love the window sofa and the big shower. Just nothing but great things to say about this property.

Overall a great week stay! Nice new hotel, friendly staff throughout. Lovely breakfast spread, but need to keep an eye on the children touching all the food by hand before they pick up their preferred piece.

Just do yourself a favor and book a couple of nights in this magical hotel. everything was beyond our imagination, the room, the food and the staff whoah the nicest and most helpful staff I've ever experienced, they are caring, patient and really attentive. For example on the first day of our stay I asked to take out the spicy stuff out of my order and they remembered it for the rest of my stay event though the hotel was full and there were a lot of people. Just amazing. I will 100% come back here

What a beautiful property. The common areas are so tastefully decorated and the rooms as well. The staff were amazing and attentive and very friendly and welcoming. They were quick to respond to requests and made sure everything went smooth. The prices are amazing right now and I wouldn't pass them up. Great value for money!
