I was in Chiang Mai twice and never booked this hostel, i was always at the party bodega. When i would drink at night often i would get confused and end up accidentally at this bodega without a booking or payment. I just want to say i am eternally grateful that twice it happened that this bodega hostel gave me a place to sleep when i turned up very drunk and they were so kind to me, checking if I was alright and never expected payment. If i come back to Chiang Mai i will absolutely stay at this hostel. It is immensely peaceful, when I have woken up I always feel safe and comfortable. They have books for you to read, a great looking pool, breakfast. All of the above. Thank you Thapae Chiang Mai Bodega ❤️

Man a lot has changed. Used to be the best place in town. Came back this year to find Bodega managed by some clown named Gary who obviously doesn’t know squat about operating. Dead quiet every day, no staff training, terrible menu. What a joke. Sad to see bodega come to this.

Definitely the best pub crawl and hostel in Chiang Mai! Staff is great, and rooms are SO clean, make sure you find Becky at the pool, shes quite magical! Danni is an awesome manager and always there to help with any questions, don't forget to say F it, and get the bucket!

This hostel has a social aim, but in fact there is almost nobody in it, which was perfect to me as it was really peaceful during my stay. But if you’re looking for a partying vibe I wouldn’t suggest you this one. The staff was nice

The rooms were really clean and were well air conditioned. Cullen brought the party vibes to the hostel and I loved the staff. Really good spot, and so many activities to do in the hostel and around the area!

Had a fun and great time staying at this hostel. We stayed at room 210 and it was comfortable for a hostel standard only complaint is the ac kept making constant annoying sound. We asked the guy at the reception to fix it but nothing is done. Possibly the guy do not understand what was requested. However this girl by the name of Nancy help us to change the room instantly, kudos to her. Location wise was spot on and easily to explore around, meal were easily available as food is not provided here. The place is very clean.

Trying way too hard to be some party bro drunk buffoonery place. Just turn off the awful rap music and let people chill.

The hostel is very clean and the beds are so comfortable. Rooms are 4 people max and the pool looks nice. They advertise themselves as party, social hostel, but we were there in new year's eve and was very quite, also next day, so we have heard that from other people too.

Very comfy, chill and relaxing place. Private rooms and dorm rooms are sparkling clean and with great amenities. Pool is a big plus as well their digital nomads corner if you want to be more with yourself. Cool music and polite, helpful staff.

Very friendly staff and always a good time 10/10 would recommend!

✔Clean bedroom ✔ nice beds ✔kind staff ✔late check in ✔reasonable prices ✔near tha pae gate (450m) and other cafes/resto, 7/11, etc. The pub downstairs is currently closed bcos of covid protocol so the place is surprisingly quiet and also with few guests. *the aircon in our room doesn't work well so the staff moved us in the other room even tho it is already midnight! Thank you 😉

Do not book with this hostel. I booked with them and after staying one of the nights and realising how unclean the place was I decided to leave. I asked the staff whether I could cancel my remaining stay due to how unhappy I was with the property and they said it was fine to do so. I received my money from the hostel but then one month later they have taken the money from my bank. Overall, the staff will take you for everything, given the chance, the place was filthy dirty and the pool was dirty.

Stayed here for one week, I LOVE this hostel, the staff are amazing, the rooms are nice, and the vibes are on point!!

My friends and I stayed at this Bodega and had such an amazing time! The staff were friendly and vary helpful. One of the reps Angle was such a sweetheart she went out of her way to help me. Don’t know what I would have done with out her. Overall this place is warm and welcoming and a so much fun. We will definitely be back !!

Great hostel. I loved the staff and the food is delicious! Nice and hidden from the busy streets so sleeping is easy. Shower facilities were really good and laundry service is quick. Bar crawl is fun, too. Music is always good. Highly recommend!

If you want a fantastic social environment, great vibes, and memories that will last a while even though they'll be clouded by the phenomenal amount of alcohol you'll consume, this is the place to be. It will be more expensive than other hostels, and you'll spend more money on pub crawls and other things but let's make it clear that it's well worth the friends and fun times. The staff here are fantastic, you'll have friends the whole way through, and the owners are seasoned travellers. They've done a fantastic job at making Bodega what it is. If you get a chance, come to Chiang Mai during Songkran and stay here. Both the Party and Thapae Bodega are party hostels. They'll always have joint events so don't worry about which one to stay at, this one does have a great pool though. The beds are fantastic, the rooms are fantastic and if you want a quiet night, you can have that too. 5/5 would recommend.

Had an amazing 3 day stay at bodega! Super comfy beds great food and a even better price! A huge thank you to Steve, Ben and anders for making my stay just that little bit better! Will definitely be back soon and I highly recommend any travellers to stay here!!!

Great place with a pool to boot! Staff was accommodating and the beds we're super comfy. Lockers are a great size too. Lital made me feel so welcome, like we had been friends forever. Can't wait to come back!

Great place to stay. Rooms are clean, there are lots of activities, the food is good, and the location is convenient. Most of the staff were very friendly and helpful, but a few were very cold and lacking basic customer service skills. I was very disappointed that the pool was freezing cold because that was one of the pull factors for me when booking!! Overall, I would recommend this as a place to stay because it has a really nice chill, social vibe.
