The true strength of Basegó lies in its cuisine. The cicchetti, or typical Venetian tapas, are prepared with fresh, seasonal ingredients and are a real delight for the palate. I had the opportunity to try a variety of cicchetti, including those with creamed cod, octopus and vegetables, and smoked salmon. They were all exquisite and prepared with care. In addition to cicchetti, Basegó also offers a wide selection of craft beers, spritz and wines. I tried some local craft beers and a classic Venetian spritz, perfect for accompanying the cicchetti. The prices are absolutely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and service. Ultimately, Basegó is a place that I highly recommend to anyone who wants to experience authentic Venetian cuisine. The perfect place to end a day of sightseeing in Venice!!!!

Loved this place; great food, great drinks, really welcoming friendly service with a smile. Lovely atmosphere, good location & opening hours! We spent lots of time on our trip hanging out here as it’s a great chill spot for sitting in the sun (and shade) and grazing.

Friendly staff, patiently explains what type of cicchettis are available. Delicious and fresh, great way to grab a quick bite or snack before going to biennale near by. AC inside, good to catch a break from the heat.

Nice bar with quite a good selection of cicchetti. The prices are decent: 2,5€ per one cicchetto, 4€ for a spritz. The are is very nice, very close to the sea. Recommended for aperitivo!

The best place in Venice! The waiter is super nice (I wish I could speak italian so i could interact more with him). Cichietti or pintxos or what you want to call them are awesome and wine is superb (also 🍺 is great). I will definitely come back :)

Constant good quality cicchetti and wines, but: The last 3 times we came for cicchetti and wine the bill was always (!) wrong, means higher than it should have been, billing us for cicchetti we haven't had consumed. That been said: Yes, faults can happen, and yes the waiters apologized and corrected the bill, but come on: 3 times in a row? Yesterday we found 7 instead of 4 cicchetti on our bill ("preconto"). That's nearly double (!) the amount of what we really had ordered. How can you possibly get a bill with 4 cicchetti THAT wrong?

Very nice intimate place for lunch / dinner. Prices are great, our whole meal and 2 glasses of wine cost €15. There is a great selections of wines and small snacks, Chicchetti. This is the perfect place to eat and drink away from all the tourist restaurants.

Great wine selection with ciccheti and arancini options. When I went there in Dec 2023, they had a small bowl of an Indian curry, called cicchetoni, which was served with seasonned pieces of bread. This was surprisingly one of the best Indian food I had outside of India! Could not believe how good it was. Highly recommend and will be visiting them again on my next trip to Venice. Hopefully they make it with paneer, Indian cheese, next time!

Great location to enjoy an aperoll spritz in the evening as it's starting to cool off. Very friendly staff.

Lovely place. We found it by accident and stopped for drinks. The staff were really nice! We had a good time here. The drinks are a good price and they also have little bites.

Good food, awful table service. Got our drinks after we had our food. The bill was a mess had loads of stuff we did not order. Pretty sure we grossly over paid even though we got them to remove some stuff of the receipt

Good vibe for a relaxing moment after walking thru the whole city

This quickly became our go-to place for a few Select Spritz's and bites just before dinner or to end the evening. The staff makes you feel very welcome, the bites are great, good atmosphere and nothing to complain about the prizes. And almost around the corner of our hotel room too. Will visit again.

Good place to have a drink ! The spritz was good but the Sauvignon was so-so. The prices are low for Venise.

Came highly recommended by a friend and the reviews were so good, plus we fell in love with cicchetti during our time in Venice — so we were excited and really wanted to love Basegó! Unfortunately our experience was not great — the wait staff was rather rude and the cicchetti selection was very limited/underwhelming. In the interest of giving the benefit of the doubt we chalk it up to a bad day — it seemed there was an issue with the restaurant which caused it to open late (not an issue at all, c’est la vie) and perhaps this had knock on effects. But overall we left quite disappointed.

We didn't order much, we had some Spritz Aperol and some chicchetti, all very good. Staff was very friendly. The music is also great, very much on our taste. Will definitely return.
