BEWARE - TOURIST TRAP It was the absolute worst place in Venice. They have the intention of trying to rip off customers in ways that are far beyond normal overpriced restaurants. You order 2 scoops of ice, you want to sit down - fine they give you three scoops for 8 euro and tell you afterwards that this is normal and not changable when you sit down. Even though they understood very well what I wanted, they told us to wait at the table and waited till we were gone from the ice counter to add a third scoop. Their only interest is to basically steal from the customers who visit venice only once anyway, so they don't need to care about their reputation. I hope a lot of people read this and avoid this place.

Overpriced, not worth it at all, not recommended! We ordered 2 hot chocolate and 2 Fornarina with a total of 19€! On top of it, the Fornarina was extremely bad, that I had to ask the server how often do you change them since it’s made with creme, he said: “every 1 week!!” It was awful!! I Informed him about that and he couldn’t care any less. Not recommended at all!

We got cheated there as well in March 2016. A lovely place to sit and eat but on our bill we had 5 dishes altough we only had 4. Asked about the fifth dish - which we did not consume - the man behind the bar pretended not to understand. Watch out and check your bill carefully before you pay!

Do not eat here. They charged us double for what we ordered. The canoli tasted like it had been sitting out for days. Beautiful spot to sit at but they will absolutely over charge you. Prices on the menu displayed is completely different then what they end up charging you.

Pure scam. €10 for 2 mediocre gelatos, but by the sounds of the other reviews it seems as though we got lucky.

They charge different prices than on the menu, claiming that the menu prices are only if you sit by the bar (which has enough space for 2 ppl). 7.50 for a beer and 4,50 for a coffee, 5,50 for tea…coffee was also cold

Grabbed a coffee and some pastries. I don’t remember anything particularly bad about this spot. They had some cold drinks and fans going to chill everyone off. Looked like ample seating outside. No complaints really. Just your average Venetian cafe.

12 euro for 2 gelatos, and they tried to charge me 3 euros extra as I wanted to pay by card. We made the mistake of not looking at reviews before entry. The fact that no prices are shown says a lot about this place.

No prices visible anywhere, €4 per 'canoli', although they weren't anything close to what a reasonable person might expect of a canoli. Disgusting mass produced rubbish that tasted like chemicals. Absolutely avoid this place.

26euro for a small Coke, A Spritz and 2 Balls of icecream. How can you sleep at Night with your tourist prank? You are a shame for Venecia.

The ambience and location is great! However, very overpriced. We payed 19 euros for 2 cups of hot chocolate and 2 inedible canollis. The waiter was friendly but couldnt care about the complaint regarding the canolli

Extremely overpriced. Prices outside are a lot higher than what’s displayed on the menu. We paid €12 for 2 Spritz’s instead of €5. Tourist trap! (Good spritz though)

AVOID. Absolute pluses: right on the canal at what feels like gondola central, and directly opposite Maria dei Miracoli which is so glorious to look at. Total total negatives: most expensive spritz we’ve had in Venice (5,50). No olive, slice of citrus or free crisps (all usual at good places). I question if they use Prosecco at all. And service really didn’t care. There’s a reason why the place on the other side of the square is busier.

Honestly not sure why the reviews are so bad. Been in Venice for 3 days and keep coming back here. The prices are average for what we have been paying everywhere we’ve been. The service is good with friendly staff. The location is great, very social but chilled and next to a canal. The toilet could be a little better but overall this has been my favourite place to drink. Also the beer is better here than most places I’ve been!

TOURIST TRAP!! Didn’t read the reviews beforehand, just walked in and ordered because I was exhausted and desperately needed a coffee and didn’t want to have to walk another block lol. My mistake. Paid €9 for an overpriced Latte macchiato and the worst cannoli I’ve ever had the displeasure of eating. That was not even a cannoli, it was a cannoli shell filled with frosting that tasted worse than canned Betty Crocker. Couldn’t eat more than a bite. Even the cherries on it tasted horrendous. I wish I could give it 0 stars. View of the church was nice though

Complete rip off, the “gelato” is in cylinders but they all share the same air. The ice cream was freezer burnt and tasted terrible, a shame to Italian cuisine. They also charged 5eur when standard gelato is 3.50 euro

Waiter seemingly hates foreigners. We sat down around 5 pm. We asked the waiter a menu question in English. He threw up his hands, yelled something in Italian and walked away mumbling. The Italians at the next table laughed at us. Embarrassed we didn't get up and leave, although we should have. Prior to that happening, my wife and I were ignored for 10 minutes+... After embarrassing us he returns 10 minutes later with a rude "what do you want... Drinks?!" We ordered drinks and pointed to a salad on the menu and he almost yells "no more salad. It's done with salad" and walks off. the waiter brought us the drinks. I asked for different food and he made me come into the shop to get the order myself if I wanted it. Same thing when I paid. Had to leave the table. The table next to us tried to pay credit, and was told cash only. The guest asked why the menu didn't say cash only, and rude waiter rambled and pointed inside to where allegedly it says inside somewhere... I also did not know and was lucky to have euros on me. The unfortunate guest was berated that it "is not gratis" and given angry directions to the nearest ATM. Then the waiter disappeared inside, and I had to go inside to pay. To say the service was bad is an understatement. The service was degrading. Avoid this place if you travel to Venice.

Awful service with rude and unfriendly waitresses. They don't charge the same price as written on their menu, and you pay double for the same cocktail a few streets away. The view is amazing, but it doesn't justify such a terrible service and overpriced cocktails. I am really disappointed and I suggest you enjoy the view on the benches nearby and then drink good cocktails a lot cheaper 10 minutes away !! Don't give your money to this rude and awful place!! They are a disgrace to the hospitality of the Venetians.

Server worked hard, although alone, and was very friendly. Coffee was tasty but a bit pricey. Good location with a nice view. Overall a good experience

Watch out for this tourist trap! Do not eat or drink here. Close by are other nice alternatives. Also they use plastic cutlery and the prices are unproportionate. The people working there did ignore us serval times and were quite rude.
