One employee was great, another was awful. Room was disgusting, filthy, and in need of repairs and updating. Pool area was nice and clean. Gym was nice and clean. Nothing will make up for how disgusting the room was. Gross guild on the wall next to the bed. Carpet had gross stains throughout. Desk chair looks like it was picked up from the dump. Filthy and disgusting.

Usually you can expect consistent accommodations with an embassy anywhere you book. Very disappointed with this property. Room was was rundown and dated. As we entered, the room smelled stale, the carpet had rips, popcorn ceiling was peeling. Bathroom was tiny and didn’t feel clean. Toilet has stains in bowl. 2 nights at this hotel. We made the most of the first night. Returned to our room for the second night to go straight to bed and leave early. A dog in a room nearby was barking - a small dog so it was a constant YAP! We called the front desk to report and all they could do was send security to investigate. The front desk was barely apologetic and said there wasn’t anything they could do because of the pet policy. It was as if they had a scripted response and confided the pet policy has only caused more trouble than good. After an hour of trying to sleep through the yapping, I called and asked to be moved to another room. The last thing I wanted to do at 11pm was pack up and relocate for the night. They were a little ore sympathetic in person when we walked down to the front desk but you could tell it was an uncomfortable situation as they were not even permitted “by policy” to contact the guest via cell phone to let them know the dog they left in the room was barking and poor dog was upset. So horrible. We were relocated to the back of the hotel backing up to the freeway. Guess the consistent freeway traffic buzz was less painful than the yapping dog. Very disappointing.

The suite was very spacious and modern. We had a large couch and table in the living room, a standard bathroom, and a large bedroom. Our balcony view was overlooking some construction, which wasn’t ideal, but not bad for a night. There was some weird dripping from the ceiling in our kitchenette area but we didn’t use any of the appliances there The hallways of the hotel were kind of maze like and we had many turns to get to our room, which I assume was one of the furthest from the elevator. There is a free breakfast downstairs in the morning and the assortment of food was excellent. Definitely great value! This was one of the cheapest options we found around the area and we were pleasantly surprised.

I appreciated the free hot breakfast and evening happy hour… so rare these days! Fitness center was sufficient, but uncomfortable if there’s more than one other person in there. Room was comfortable enough, but I couldn’t figure out the thermostat so temperature was inconsistent. Couch was oddly positioned so the chaise was right in front of the door; you have to open the door really wide so you can walk around the chaise to get in and then walk back around to close the door. Hotel is in a shopping center, so it’s close to food, everyday shopping necessities, and plenty of parking. There’s a free (very slow) EV charger a few buildings down, if you need one. I’d plug in early in the morning while I worked out/shower/breakfast and that would get me enough charge to do errands around town and some sightseeing nearby. There’s a supercharger across the street at Madonna Inn if you need something faster. Overall I had a pleasant stay.

Very nice staff. Very accommodating. Even the customers were calm and nice. No one is looking to fight or be angry for dumb things. Everything and everyone was a great experience. Hotel is worth every dollar....However, a small note to management....expand on small items for the morning breakfast and place add some strawberry jelly, brown sugar for oatmeal and French vanilla creamer for the coffee

No issues during this stay! Room was well kept and clean. Carpet appeared a bit older and was worn but I wouldn’t say as bad as other coastal hotel/motels nearby. Breakfast at Embassy Suites never disappoints. The omelet bar is always a treat! Warmed food is always replenished and fresh. Lots of variety for all appetites. Lounge and Atrium area has many live plants and is so beautiful just to sit and relax especially during cocktail hour.

Size of room was good. Bathroom was small. Breakfast layout was very good. Our room smelled like cigarettes but I believe this was an isolated issue because they offered us other rooms that didn’t smell but the room locations were not what we desired. There is an Avis location on site which worked great for us as we rented an additional car for the family while in town. WiFi only worked in lobby and did not get room service when requested. Overall it was a very good place to stay with a few little issues.

It's on the expensive side per night for hotels but there are reasons for that. One we were able to have our dog while staying there. And usually hotels that take dogs smell like dogs. This hotel in no way shape or form smells like dog. It has an absolutely gorgeous center courtyard with an awesome morning breakfast buffet with an omelette station and knightly manager cocktail hour where you get two free cocktails and have snacks put out. Rooms are well-appointed and huge. Bathroom was a little dark and small but I'd rather have more room than bathroom. Parking is plentiful and it's located in a good Central area near Sprouts supermarket and many departments and outdoor clothing stores. Has a decent-size pool for the kids and a nice sized fitness center. The only negative is slow elevators. And you can't take the stairs between 2nd and 1st floor if you want to bypass them. (At least on my side of the building) Really great hotel to stay at with the family!!! Two thumbs up! 🙂

Rooms are very dated and expensive but they are the only place in town that will reasonably fit a family of 4. The bathrooms leak also. In bad need ot a rehab Its a small for an Embassy Suites. Staff were helpful but do not present well A lot of noise in the room from the Courtyard also. BUT the bed and pillows are wonderful.

The carpet and sofa were stained. The floor tile was broken, and the bathroom door had a hole in it. Front services could not provide another room because they were full. The manager did not contact me regarding those issues. I am still waiting for his phone call. Saturday morning I requested room service and was told that we needed to stay 4 nights for those services, we stayed 3. In addition the front desk agent did not provide us with the complimentary "make the bed or fresh towels." Sunday morning someone could not control their barking dog.

The flier in the room asked to leave it on the bed to have the bed linens replaced and to leave the towels on the floor to have them changed, but no housekeeping person came to our room to do any of this. Front desk said they do housekeeping only if the stay is longer than 5 nights, which is not mentioned anywhere. Housekeeping could have come to the room at least to replace the linens and towels, refill the coffee supplies and the shampoo/conditioner bottles but no one did. We stayed for 3 nights and we had to call them for everything. Also, we could hear people in the adjacent room through the connecting door. The only good thing to say is about the breakfast and the restaurant staff.

Do not stay in a ground floor room, the AC system in ground floor units makes a very loud sloshing, dripping sound constantly. I told the front desk and they said that this is present in all ground floor rooms because the building is old. They were fully booked so could not move me. They were very nice and apologetic about it, and discounted the room, but I still did not sleep at all! I am flummoxed that they continue to rent these uninhabitable rooms! The hotel appears newly updated with paint and decor, but be aware that if you have a ground floor room you may not sleep!

Book early. From check in to check out they make your stay relaxed 😎 Our checking young man was relaxed, all the staff was like that. Mahalia recommended UBER and Lucy made sure we had breakfast for our very early 5:30am checkout. Don't forget your nightcap. They really know their mixes cocktail 🍸. Breakfast made to order. Plenty of parking. Get or keep in shape with the indoor pool and gym. Any problem 🤔No problem because they listen to your needs and wants. I wish we could've stayed longer.😊😉🤩😍

My check-in date was November 18, 2023. Hilton refused to check in, as their system was down. No fallback to manual process. Rude, arrogant reception manager, who said nothing he can do, but wait for undisclosed amount of time. 10+ guests along with me waiting, while this guy started making bad sarcastic jokes, as in “feel free to ask me more questions all at the same time, this will surely help you.” Never seen anything like this. Declined to sign anything as proof of non service. They could not even understand if the internet was down or not. Extremely unprofessional and a terrible experience. Travelled 3 hours by car to get this treatment and went to a local Marriott. The hotel still refuses to pick up and confirm they refused check in and DIDN’T issue refund.

My favorite stop when I'm in the area. I never have any problems when I stay here. Although the hotel is in the process of replacing room carpets, we did not stay in a room with new carpet. However, there was nothing wrong with the room we were in. The room furniture is starting to look a little aged.

We arrived hours early and they were very accommadating and helpful. They said they would notify us when our room was ready . I felt very welcome upon entering the place. Rooms were of great size and very clean.

Room spacious but decor and furnishings dated and bathroom cramped Droning nose at night disturbed my sleep. Breakfast pretty good with freshly cooked omelette. Expensive compared to other properties during my stay. Short drive to central SLO.

Wonderful place. Perfect for visiting SLO. Easy to get to, great big rooms, and the free breakfast and cocktails are awesome options. The gym is 24/7 too which is great. Reception also has great people. Paris in particular was very pleasant to speak to and really was great in his service and help in checking us in.

Felt like the Motel 6 of Embassy Suites. The bed was comfortable and breakfast was good, so the bare minimum was met for sure! That said, I felt like I needed to lay towels down on the carpet to walk on and on the couch to sit on in the room. We were greeted by the front desk telling g us the air conditioning was out. I saw another worker with box fans, so asked for one as opposed to being offered one. We opened the sliding door to bring cooler are in to make it as comfortable as possible for sleeping. Our lock looked like the previous lock had been ripped out and replaced, but in a way that didn't even try to make it look nice or presentable(see pic). It didn't promote confidence in the care of the hotel. At breakfast, the floor was dirty: crumbs from previous guests, random strands of hair on the floor and unbussed tables. The kitchen staff making the breakfast was good and very efficient however! When using the elevator to go and get our luggage from our room, we encountered a knotted hair hanging from the screw on the elevator plate. It was gross, and it just felt like the management didn't pride itself on cleanliness and customer service here like I have experienced at so many other Hiltons, especially Embassy. They also didn't ask how our stay was at check out. Maybe they were having an off night?? I won't stay at that location again.

Pros: room is clean, bed linen smells good, free drink & hot breakfast. In walking distance to a mall. Cons: I got a noisy room. Right across my room door, there is a loud ice machine and air cleaner. Machine running all day and night with short breaks. And the window is facing the freeway. Difficult to sleep. Hotel doesnt look full. But they gave me a noisy room, anyway. A $100 deposit is required so they can deduct money if you cause any damage, like an apartment security deposit.

The rooms are very nice they keep them very updated very quiet very comfortable very spacious and nice beds. Location of the hotel is perfect lots of bars restaurants and shopping nearby if those are things you want to do. I would say one of the other great things they have going for them now is their own bar for the evening hours occasionally entertainment last but not least most importantly is they have a great full service breakfast including omelettes and other delicious items.

Very disappointing for the price. Looks great when you walk into large open atrium interior, but the rooms are outdated and worn looking. Ours was very dark, a suite with only a half-width casement window in the back room area. Not enough lights to offset that, in fact two of the four bulbs were out in the bathroom, had to have maintenance come replace. On a positive note, he got there within minutes of our call to front desk, which we appreciated. Hot breakfast buffet was good overall. We were told (for a 3-night stay) there would be no housekeeping unless we asked for it, and we would have to ask early in the morning or it wouldn’t happen. Wouldn’t stay here again, definitely not a value.

This was an exceedingly pleasant stay; the place was clean and the staff friendly, and the free luxury breakfast could not be beat. And complimentary drinks in the evening on top of that! Everything was well kept-up and the rooms had some generous features such as an extra sink and a well-provisioned laptop desk. Highly recommended.

Everything was really great about the hotel minus the digital key. That's where I had my biggest issue. I ended up finally having to go down and get a key from the desk because trying to use the digital key kept taking three or four tries. Other than that, everything else was great. breakfast in the mornings and didn't realize that they had great bartenders and complementary service in the afternoon till my third day of being there.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The hotel was in excellent shape and super clean. Our room was very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast selections were really good. Costumer service was amazing as well. My boys loved the indoor pool. Thank you. I will be back with my family.
