The place for clam chowder! The bread bowl is really amazing. The seafood combo with shrimps and calamari was tasty. It had more curly fries than the seafood, but everything had great taste. Portion sizes are smaller than usual, the bowl seemed to be of the size of a cup elsewhere- that’s something to consider before ordering. In all, great experience, really tasty chowder and seafood.

Small place, delicious food. We tried spicey chicken sandwich, tuna melt, onion rings, calamri, coffee and few bakery items. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Staff was friendly and enthusiastic. If I lived here, this would have been my go to place for food.

We're very happy we went here. It's very casual and you order at the counter. We ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder which was very good and decided to try the Clam Chowder Curly Q Fries. It was surprising how delicious this was together, who would have thought it would be so yummy! I ordered Grilled Cod Tacos (they also will do fried), after all it was Tuesday 😋 We chose to have dessert since they looked so good and ordered their Bread Pudding. It did not disappoint and was very tasty 😋 For such a casual place, the food was delectable and extremely tasty👍👍👍👍

We were in SLO and talking about the best clam chowder we’ve ever had at Splash Cafe in Pismo Beach. We did a search for directions and were surprised to find a Splash Cafe about 5 minutes from our location! We arrived about 6pm on a busy Saturday night. Luckily, the SLO cafe has more seating than the one in Pismo Beach. Staff was also very efficient and friendly. We had two chowders in a bread bowl with a side of curly fries. The chowder was even better than we remembered! The roasted garlic bread top was the best. We had to order an extra quart of chowder to refill our bread bowls.

My husband and I took a trip to San Luis Obispo for a Renaissance Fair and were told by friends to come here for dinner. We had the Clam Chowder and Mexican Chocolate. It was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The workers were very polite, the restaurant was clean and the service was quick. We definitely recommend coming here to eat.

We love coming here for the clam chowder! However, this time, we ordered the bread bowl and there were hardly any clams or potatoes, it seemed to be all cream. I tried the spicy fried fish taco and it was good! Although it only had 4 chunks of fried fish, which didn't seem like enough and it came with 2 tortillas which was too much. Overall, this place is always great!

My opinion should be heavily discounted as I recently moved to California, and this is only my second time eating clam chowder here. So I don't know how this is supposed to taste. But whatever this is, is really good! I enjoyed it. Quick and friendly service. (I won't take points off for this since this is not why you're coming here, but the coffee is mediocre.)

Both disappointed and pleasantly surprised with this place. The burgers, obster roll, fries and onion rings are absolutely amazing. Fries and onion rings were perfectly crispy, the lobster roll and burgers are packed with flavor. But the fish was horrible. It was overcooked, chewing, some pieces tasted like chicken while others were overly fishy, and the skin was burnt. The outdoor seating also has very small tables. Although the good definitely outweighs the bad I feel if your restaurant has a fish theme the fish should be good. 4.5/5.

We have lunch at Splash weekly. It's not just about the chowder, BTW. They have a good selection of freshly made items. I love the seafood salad, it's the perfect size and this is the only place I get Thousand Island dressing at. It's homemade. I highly recommend the bakery. We had a party for my niece this weekend and ordered 60 cupcakes with rainbow icing. They were a huge hit and every commented on how good they looked and tasted.

Tried Splash Cafe for the first time. I heard it had the best clam chowder around. I'd say it was really good but not sure if it's the best! My chowder bread bowl could have been a little hotter when I received it. Lobster roll was good but a little different from other Lobster rolls I've had. I will say the prices are fair. What stood out was the friendly service from the staff. Very friendly and professional which is not always the case with the younger generation.

We came here to try their famous clam chowder and we were not disappointed. It was creamy, loaded with seafood and very tasty. We also tried fish tacos and salad and it was okay. Definitely should stick to their chowder. Staff here was friendly and efficient even when it was busy. The only thing is the limited seating area. When it’s busy it can be hard to find a seat.

Excellent bakery, great food and fun vibes. The fish and chips are excellent and fresh, has a good flavor and spice. Clam chowders is very delicious like eating in Boston. Won’t be disappointed.

OMG! (Drool) LOVE coming here. It had been a year since I was in the area but I was in town for an event and I just had to make a stop and get some of their famous clam chowder, it never disappoints! Do yourself a favor and make it a point to stop by and get some!

Loaded clam chowder bowl. Sourdough bowl was buttered and toasted - delicious. I don’t feel like there was much clams/seafood, but chowder was pretty tasty. Seating is not well suited for groups larger than 4.
