Monster portions! New locale I had never visited. Ordered Ham steak with eggs and potatoes, and a Pumpkin Spice waffle. Pics should show you all you need to know. Ham steak was great, totally took 75% home so take that into consideration or bring a monster appetite. Waffle sounded appetizing, I was left a bit underwhelmed but that may just be my pallette. Not a knock on the waffle at all. Service was quick and friendly. Seating is a bit limited with an average wait of about 20 mins + - Overall, I will definitely consider a second visit primarily because they have an extensive menu with some interesting sounding menu items (i.e. Chili Cheese Hamburger 🤔 and Super sized steaks) Prices are a bit higher than expected but I understand relative to portions. Wow! What a fabulous experience. I had some time in between appointments and Scotty’s was recommended by a nurse at PIH Whittier Hospital. Breakfast was delicious, perfect portion at a reasonable if/fair price. Coffee was delicious. The staff is super friendly and very customer service oriented. I am definitely going back again (and again).

We ordered strawberry waffles, biscuits and gravy, and french toast. The food was great, the service was quick, and workers were kind.

It's very clear that the team here loves their work and sharing their food at the cafe. The servings are huge and good quality. Overall flavor was a little bland, but we loved the experience so much we'll definitely be back and we highly recommend you give them a try. Pictured in the photos are 1/2 servings (they graciously pre-split plates for us without charge when we mentioned we wanted to share).

Everything was great!! We were taken to a table right away. Received our drinks quickly. Waitress was great. She was very excited to help us on making our minds up on what to order. Loved it!!!

I've been coming to this restaurant for 10+ years. Biscuits and gravy has never changed! I've had Biscuits and gravy at over 50-100 different restaurants. Never this good! And if you don't believe the hype, try them out. Not satisfied? Let them know. They'll gladly swap them it for something else.

I enjoyed a weekday breakfast with my bestie🍳🥞🧇🥓no wait time, food and service were great! Very friendly staff. The menu provided a lot of options to choose from. Also, healthier options if you want ( egg whites and turkey bacon). I really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy... as much as my own homemade!

Food was good. The wait was long. And we were a bit upset that 2 other people behind us went in ahead of me and my friend. But no worries. We try to not make it a big deal. It would be a good idea to be better organized to try to make everyone happy. I know it can be overwhelming and hard to serve everyone. I appreciate everyone that works in restaurants.

It's a small family owned place but terrific. The staff are amazing and fast. The food is good and great portions. We will be back for more food.

Review update: I came here with some family again. I've been here several times over the last few years and its been great. Today, though, I experienced terrible service by one of the family owners(at least that's what I was told), Mike. There is no reason this person should be working the front end of the restaurant as host. We arrived and he let us know it would be a 20 min wait. I understand sometimes wait time can exceed that so after watching how he would let people he seemed to know go in first to be seated I went to ask how long it would be before he called us, it's been 45 min by now and I take a look at the sign up sheet. He had scratched off our name and said he'd probably called my name and I didn't come up, we were standing in front of him this whole time, he did not call anyone's name! (He would quietly point and call his "regulars" to get seated). He said 20 min isn't that long out loud in front of the other patrons and I responded it's been 45min and we aren't the only ones that have been waiting! He was RUDE and shouted "are you leaving or staying!" I said, "I'm staying, I'm waiting for my table!" Absolute worst service and for a family owned restaurant, this is unacceptable. Someone else came out and sat us right away after that confrontation and as usual, everyone else was extremely friendly and we were waited on and food was great. I'm not sure if I want to return if he will be there picking and choosing who gets to have a seat at the restaurant. What is your seating list for then? Please do yourselves a favor and don't have him as a host. In this day and age, you never know who you'll get as a customer and could review your restaurant and place it on Tik Tok or other social media platform and ruin what you've worked so hard to establish. All cause someone doesn't know how to do a job! Original Review: Excellent establishment! Service was great from all staff. Place is busy but I can clearly see why. The food was made to order and delicious. I ordered the chicken fried steak (chicken) along with a side of French toast and coffee. I definitely recommend this place and I will be back!

Small diner feel, great service. Food was good especially the biscuits and gravy. Good value, 2 small meals could be made from one order. I ordered the corned beef hash it's pretty good not the best I've had but definitely good, would order again.

This is a small location but definitely worth the try!!! The food was really good but not great. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and service. The waiter was really nice and attentive. Great for a quick stop because the service is fast. We took our kids and they were welcomed!

Best restaurant for breakfast and lunch, I have had everything on the menu, most recently peanut butter and jelly French toast. It was amazing but again, this place does it all with great service and great food. Scotty's is the best! Get there early or you will have to wait.

Stopped in for breakfast and was not disappointed! I went with an omlette with hashbrowns and biscuit and gravy, and it was great. Nice sized portions and the biscuits with gravy was very satisfying! I saw a pastrami sandwich pass by as I was eating and will be back for one. The staff was very friendly and attentive, will definitely be back and recommend to my friends. One of my favorite places to eat in Whittier. The customer service is hard to beat. Just an overall wonderful environment with excellent food.

Good food large portion got the two eggs but looks like 5. Hashbrowns took up half the plate, nice friendly staff, on point with refills clean and cozy

Service was excellent. Food was mediocre at best. It was cooked properly(not over or under cooked) but the ingredients were not good. Canned peaches as a side of fruit and mushy corned beef hash(probably from a can) and eggs that were most likely powdered. If it were cheap I would understand. For the price we paid we could have had a much better meal at home.

Ordered take out breakfast for my family. The people on the phone were very professional. They said the meals would be ready in 12 min. I was elated, I got in my car drove and found parking. There was people waiting for a table and when I went inside to pay and pick up my order it was a packed house. Oh boy I knew the food had to be good if their were this many people here. Got home and the orders were correct and still hot. We will be going back. The food was delicious. This is my experience. When you go and try this establishment for yourselves I hope you get the same service and you enjoy your meal. TYVM to the staff and the cooks cause you make this place.
