Review: a hidden jewel the micro state, San Marino, is worth a day trip visit! The Guaita Tower 1 and 2 costs 8€ entrance fee for adults. The landscape is marvellous and you get to explore the small passages throughout the towers and gain insights into why this is the first established republic worldwide.

The main tower of San Marino, it's a museum that you can enter. It's almost at the top of the country. It's in very good shape. Worth visiting.

Best view of San Marino, just take a short stroll down through the pass between here and the second tower. Picturesque and breathtaking, especially after foggy night and morning. Within a couple of steps, it is possible to see both sides of the rocky hill of San Marino.

Amazing place! I love the old city of San Marino and of course these castles. There are 3, but now (end of July 2023) castle no 2 and 3 were close due to renovation. Still, worth to visit the first one and the old city.

Beautiful panoramic views from San Marino. Well worth a visit. There is a cable car but it is a fairly easy walk if you make sure to pause for regular breaks to take photos and catch your breath! It can be very busy and touristy so bear that in mind when you go. The shops sell a lot of tourist 'tat', which may or may not appeal, but it's easy to avoid and find relatively quiet areas to just admire the view and take in the beauty of the location, especially on a clear day when you can see the Adriatic sea in the distance.

The Guaita Tower, also known simply as the First Tower, is one of the three iconic towers on Mount Titano in San Marino. Guaita is the oldest and most famous of the three towers, dating back to the 11th century. Its primary function was as a defensive fortress. Perched on the highest peak of Mount Titano, Guaita Tower provides panoramic views of the surrounding landscape and the rest of San Marino. The tower features medieval military architecture with a distinctive square shape. Over the centuries, it underwent several modifications and expansions. Visitors can access Guaita Tower, explore its interior, and enjoy the scenic vistas. The climb to the tower involves a steep but rewarding ascent. The ticket costs 4€. Along with the other two towers (Cesta and Montale), is a symbol of San Marino and is depicted on the country's national flag. Visiting Guaita Tower offers not only a glimpse into the medieval history of San Marino but also a breathtaking view of the picturesque landscape surrounding this small republic.

Awesome view, San Marino is like a stone city on steroids.. The castles on the hill top gives the San Marinian people a kind of peace and liberty!

Stunning views of both the entire San Marino and Italy for tens of kilometers. An interesting and complex structure right on the rock. It is always informative to plunge into the atmosphere of antiquity. Many cafes and shops near the fortress. You can enjoy the view of the city and the fortress directly from the cafe.

Beautiful views from the top and the ticket is so cheap! €8 to climb two of the three towers (the third is not open) and enter the Palazzo Publico and some other stuff. The best views though are probably of the Guaita Tower itself, rather than from the tower. On your way over to the second tower, make sure to look back at the first tower and marvel at the views. There are also great views from the second tower. I went back multiple times during the day and night just to glimpse these views with different light and I highly recommend it if you're staying over in San Marino.

Worth of visit. If you are close to San Marino it is recommended to visit this place. And if it is possible, go there earlier, it is less crowded. Streets are nice and clean, with souvenirs stores. View from the top is breathtaking.

We visited here on July. Weathers we’re so host, with 35-38 degrees of temperature. If someone wants to visit here in July or August, remember to bring enough water. The view and castle are soooo amazing. The information center is very formative and the reception is kind for giving the directions of the route. In addition, price of perfume, watches and sun glasses are affordable. I recommend someone who wants to buy such items. Overall the experience staying here is amazing. Someone who visits Rimini can plan to visit San Marino!

This first tower is a great start for what it can be a very pleasant experience in San Marino. The price of 6 euros pays off by the view it provides of the second tower in the furthermore mountains. It’s a small area that covers the fortress wall and tower. In a bright day you can see the city coast of Rimini and if any luck even Croatia’s islands.

Very nice castle, entrance fee €8,- per person but definitely worth it! Nicely maintained and the staff is very friendly (also to foreigners). Nice views overlooking the San Marino region.

We love this visit!! What a surprise. This was a stop on our way back from Venice to Rome. And end up being one of our favorite days in Italy! Very unique place to visit with tons of history.

The biggest and oldest tower of the three here high up on Monte Titano. Dating back to the 11th century the fortress is among the oldest ones in Italy. From the top of the tower you can enjoy a breathtaking 360 degree view over the landscape. Entry is included in the 10 Euro full visit ticket for all monuments. If you have a couple of hours to spend in San Marino, you might want to get one of these.

A little pricy two adults and two kids ( one under 6 and free) we paid 22€ admission. One tower was closed for restauration. The other tower was too deep and narrow to climb for our 7 and 3 year old kid. It was nice to see also for the kids and the view is great. The museum was rather small. All in all worth seeing once.

For starters come to San Marino as a whole its one of the best countries I ever been to. Its just breathtakingly beutifull. Secondly this is the 1st tower out of the 3 towers of San Marino. The 2nd one is the most beutifull in my opinion. But this is still very nice. There is an entry fee starting from €6 and I think its not worth getting anything more expensive. The main thing which you would be able to see is the tower squre and walls but you would not be able to go up into any of the acctuall towers (06.2022). It is worth doing the walk in the forest to each tower, it is very picturesque and I just can t emphisise it enough that everyone should visit San Marino. To do so the easiest way is with car, or you can get a 40m bus from Rimini for €6 roundtrip. You can get tickets infront of Rimini train station in a "Tobacheria" or othervise called corner shop.

Great experience, magnificent views. Visit of historical center of San Marino was nice by itself, but visit of castle, or towers on top of hill was perfect and in my opinion "must see". Only negative was that in time of our visit, expositions which should have been(as per my understanding)in towers were empty. I am totaly recommending the visit.

Probably the most famous spot in the whole San Marino. Great view over the surrounding area, and impressive tower complex nestled on the tip of the peak. Currently ( 30/03/2021) the main mast is closed, so cannot guarantee if the entrance is worth it, but the price is still very reasonable

Perfect as the starting point of San Marino 1-day tour. Buy a 10 euro round ticket and you get access to all the towers and 4 musems.

a city with medieval architecture, very picturesque. It has many shops and restaurants for coffee and food. The prices are very good! If it's anywhere near Italy, it's worth the effort to go to San Marino

It is worth to walk through the historic centre. The 3 towers - 2 of them you can visit and it's worth it, they are the symbol of San Marino -Guaita Towe is the first one. Further walk along the streets admiring the architecture, visite churches, the unicameral parliament and more. Along the walk, there are beautiful views of the surrounding area in every direction as we are at an altitude of about 750 metres above sea level. On a clear day more beautiful than the one I was on, but well, you can't choose the weather ;)

Beautiful castle nestled on the top of San Marino, with awesome views of the surrounding lands, you can literally see Rimini from the tower, which is where we were staying , itself a 30 minute drive away. We purchased the €8 ticket which meant we could visit all three towers , although the third is free to visit anyway as you can't actually access it, but still worth the walk , which is of course beautiful! It's a small trek so you need to be able bodied plus the second tower has a steep ladder to gain access to the top. So yes San Marino well worth a visit!

😠 We went to the museum expecting it to be a bit of fun, nothing serious and at least that part was true. Don't expect to learn much or see anything particularly interesting. The reason for the low review however was the rude service at the ticket office. Upon arriving, I took a bottle of water out of...
