Lodge Room

Live music venue

👍👍 Came here for the first time last night to see ‘Misa Negra’. Very nice spot to see a show, very classy decor and very intimate. There is a separate bar/dining room apart from the music hall that is super elaborately decorated. Music wasn’t too loud. Parking is easy to find just across the street. Wo... People often mention venue, good, great, show, sound, nice, intimate, room, Lodge, time,

Beautiful intimate theater. Wood floors and paneling on the walls, archway framing center stage. If you look up, you will see a grand chandelier candelabra display and a carved star. I wish I knew more history about this venue- it's quite beautiful. I have been to this venue twice. First was standing only for Digable Planets and then for MNDSGN "Rare Pleasures" Album Release there were luckily a few small hightop tables and tall chairs to sit on on the sides. Outside of the actual venue, there is a lobby where the restrooms are located as well as a small bar and merch set-up. Inside the venue there is a large horseshoe bar and then an open space for dancing and/or standing. I got super lucky with this group of mean girls refusing to leave the restroom that someone took me and another girl waiting in line to the upstairs restroom where the controller room was and we were aloud to hang for a bit and watch the show from an awesome slightly aerial view!!! You can see the photos that I took from up there. Amazing experience that I will never forget. Big thank you to the person who was so generous to us!

This is in fact an old Lodge room. It seems to not be a part of Live Nation so their ticket price is affordable. They are right next to good places to eat, so make a night of it, see a good band and check out Highland Park.

Good ambience and in a good area. It seems (not necessarily looks) like a safer and less busy version of downtown LA from what I gathered. The venue is somewhat small overall (you walk in and up the stairs and you're pretty much already inside the venue), but it's a good size for small-medium shows. Not too intimate but it's not a concert hall either. Plenty of standing area in the back with raised platforms if you're surrounded by people taller than you. It doesn't appear to get too packed either, so maneuvering in and around the venue is easy. I will warn that it gets a little warm and if you lean on the walls too long, the wall's wood finish will stick you to the wall and you'll have to peel away from the wall. Check out Ben Cahn & Emil De Rosa on PayPigsPod. That's who I went to see there and it was a tier 1 variety show.

Somehow all my favorite bands are always playing at Lodge Room. Must be the bookers I guess. There are multiple places to drink during shows — a bar in the show area, a bar in the merch area, and the adjacent Checker Hall (which you can get into if you have a Lodge Room ticket). I love the layout of the space because I can mosh up front or sit back and chill. The sound and levels are always good too.

A nice, intimate venue. If you want to see your acts up close and personal, this would be the right place for it. Also, it's ensconced In a nice, budding section of Highland Park. There are plenty of spaces to eat, drink, and spend time while waiting for your show.

One of the best venues in LA for seeing the best indie-ish rock, hiphop rnb.. I've seen some of the my alltime favorites here, Digable Planets, Sun O, Night Beats.... too many to think of now that i try! I wish they'd put booths around or had some chillaxingplaces for us oldies who show up at doors.

This is a great venue for a concert. We saw Cloud Cult there on 7/8/22. The sound was great and it had a very intimate feel.

Great sound and lighting, lots of room, a slick, tasteful interior, two bars (one in the venue and a larger attached one with a balcony) and occult vibes leftover from the building's history as a Masonic Lodge; what more could you want from a venue?

Nice clean venue with decent sound. Saw ESG and Cut Chemist. Surprised that the price of a highball wasn’t overpriced but in fact the same as Gold Line. Had a great time!

This 500 person concert hall is a great place to see bands. Don't expect to sit as it is all general admission and find a spot to stand and watch. There are two bars to serve you and neither was very crowded the night we were there even though it was a sold out show. Assuming there are bands playing that we want to see, we will definitely be back to the Lodge.

I’ve been to hundreds of concerts so it’s surprising that it took me this long to go to this venue. It definitely felt like a weird venue to me (in a good way). It’s spacious enough to not feel cramped but it also felt intimate. They also have a bathroom really close to the stage so if you get the urge you can go and be back to the stage without missing much. The sound was pretty great, no overpowering and distorted bass like at a lot of venues. The only semi-negative thing is that they don’t have a parking lot so you will need to drive around the streets to find a spot to park.

Very cool place loved that it wasn't crowded. And there's a restaurant in side of you like to grab a bit to eat before the show. It's look really nice inside.

An intimate venue to see bands perform. I’ve been here a few times to see some of my favorite indie artists. The entrance is a little odd as it’s located behind the building in the alley way. I love how small the place is, you can truly get very close to the performer if you wish. It’s a general admissions location, so standing room only. There are two bars; one inside the performance area and the other directly outside. The bar inside the performance area can get a little loud during, which I’ve noticed during quieter songs. So it was a little distracting and took away from the performance. If you want food you can walk across the hallway to the restaurant connected to the venue. Overall a good spot to see bands up close and personal.

Cozy but very cool concert venue. Be sure to try something from the AHHHH-MAZING speak-easy next door, Checker Hall!

Such a fun small venue. They always have a good show to check out.

Such a great space to go see a live band. Good acoustics and smaller capacity about 400 ppl space. They have a beautiful newly reimagined restaurant up front, too, which I highly recommend checking out. Definitely, a hidden gem in Highland Park.

Very interesting locale on the upstairs floor of a former Masonic lodge. The sound is pretty good but the lighting is downright bad. Flashing lights were seizure inducing and the high intensity beams towards the audience made everyone look like corpses. Fix that and I might come back.

Very cool music venue! We were here for a film screening/performance event. The speakers were too loud for our liking so we stood in the back by the bar. Still had a great time.

Such a beautiful venue in highland park. They had us check in on the side entrance and we went through a hall way showing our IDs and then our tickets. We climbed up a flight of stairs. When we got up there, restrooms and a bar were located at the back of the building. Another bar was located in the showroom! The stage was nice and they had good sound (it was really loud, I'm glad I took earplugs) and nice lighting. Everything went well. Drinks were about $15 each.

Came here to see T.E.E.D. and had a great time! I wasn't expecting very much out of the sound system, because of the outdated carpet/wood speaker cabinets, but it sounded really clear! The vibe of the venue was very charming. Would definitely come back. The drinks were a bit poorly mixed, tasting very.. unbalanced, is a nice way of putting it. Still, had fun!

Pokey Lafarge at the Lodge Room was great! Small upstairs venue, standing room only but very cool venue. Limited to 500 people. If there is an artist you enjoy playing here it's the place to see them.

An excellent venue is a very historical landmark. Love the facade of the hall with the Mason star on the ceiling with the chandelier hanging from the top. Excellent bartender and event staff. Steven the general manager thumbs up. Great place to come...Highland Park, you're the bomb.

The Lodge room is an iconic LA music venue. The ambience is terrific let alone the sound quality. This is the perfect venue to see a good show with your friends. Staff is friendly and bartenders are true professionals. Will definitely be back!

Security will take your camera out of your purse but not your phone that is a camera. Bar arrangement creates a bottleneck that makes getting to the bathroom unnecessarily difficult. Otherwise, decent venue by way of location, parking, and cleanliness.

I notice the bar doesn’t take cash. But otherwise a great experience for music, good and drink. Helpful service.

I rarely post a review, but I had such a good experience here I wanted to share! I sometimes have to use a mobility aid walker, and the folks here were very accommodating for accessibility. Not only did they have access to an elevator to get to the second floor stage, but a staff member specifically escorted me / helped clear the crowd at the end of the show so that I could maneuver through with my walker. They had the elevator waiting for me even! I greatly appreciated the extra help, and felt very welcome.
