TLDR Located at the SGV Municipal Airport (El Monte) this is a fun, local favorite for breakfast and lunch. With good weather, the entire restaurant is opened up so that the patio and interior are one. The food is decent, but it's the atmosphere that brings you back. A fun place to bring kids who can watch the planes take off and land.

The food at this place was delicious. I've never eaten at an airport cafe so I was surprised to find a variety of tempting choices at this type of location. My friend ordered a chile relleno omelette with chile verde on top and home fries and I had the the pancakes with eggs, bacon and sausage. I sampled my friends chile verde and though it had a good flavor the chile needed salt. The home fries were delicious and complimented the omelette nicely. My pancakes were excellent; fluffy, crispy on the edges, and full of flavor. Most places make bad pancakes because it's not their specialty, but the pancakes here will bring me back. I really liked the sausage that came with my food. I want to return to sample additional entrees. At the end we shared a slice of carrot cake with whipped cream. It was delicious and definitely home made. The cream cheese frosting was perfect as was the fresh whipped cream. The only reason I gave it a 4 rating was because they brought my friend flour tortillas that were steam heated and were more raw than cooked, the carrot cake was cold (I like my cake at room temperature) and the chile verde needed salt. The service was great and they came by frequently to see if more coffee was needed or if we needed any additional items. Overall, I will be returning to this location with new customers. The prices were very reasonable. I want more pancakes.

One of my favorite places. Great food and a great view of the San Gabriel Airport in El Monte. One time ordered the Patty Melt plate with fries($8.75) and my friend got scrambled eggs with 4 bacon, potatoes and toast($9.99)I asked for half fries and onion rings and a slice of Ortega green chile. Not a problem. Perfectly cooked P.M. with fresh made onion rings. Delicious! And, no surcharge! Next visit she got the Patty Melt w/onion rings and I got Menudo. Both were winners! Great food with a view. Hard to beat! Still coming here after all these years. So good! Even after Covid-19 and food service workers wage increase the prices remain very reasonable. Finally tried their pancakes and they were really good! Want a great breakfast dish and have leftovers for dinner? Order the Ham Steak and Eggs! Humongous and dee-licious!

Food was good but way to much food served per plate, I guess some people enjoy that. The place is great from big groups since they have multiple tables available for big groups of ppl. Didn't take long for them to sit us down (group of 9) and there were already other tables with about the same or more ppl. They let us bring a birthday cake since we were celebrating a birthday, you get a nice view of the planes landing and taking off. Great for kids to enjoy, high chairs. Easy and plenty of parking.

Very disappointed. Have had my eye on this place for months. Finally went and waited over 1h30m and never got my food. A few couples were seated before us and even ate and left and we got nothing. They never even checked in on us while we waited. Sucks because the food looks delicious. I just personally wouldn’t know it.

I had an amazing dining experience at Annia’s Kitchen. The wide selection of vegetarian options was impressive, and each dish was full of flavor. The friendly and attentive waitstaff made the evening even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this restaurant for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians seeking delicious food and exceptional service. Truly a five-star gem!

Food was great! Large portions. I had the avocado omelet. It came with hasbrowns and toast. Other family had biscuits and gravy, chorizo and eggs, and pancake breakfast. Everyone was very happy with their food and the staff was all wonderful and attentive.

"Fabian" (the supervisor) was Great! I initially ordered the "stack" combo, yet it came w/ sausage or bacon 🥓.....Fabian was sooooooo kind and honored my request for an alternative "turkey patty" 🥘 (IT WAS HUUUUUUGE😳)😀 The pancakes 🥞 were tasty and the service/atmosphere is something only one can experience from being there 😇 Thank you!!!!

Annia's Kitchen is a small diner that serves good breakfast and lunch. Its located within the SGV airport. Their indoor seating is well organized and spacious as well as their outdoor patio with an excellent view of the runway. Staff (Claudio and co) were nice, attentive, competent and professional. Their menu items is composed of 1/3 American and 2/3 Mexican dishes from Pancakes to Huevo Rancheros. Btw, we noticed they misspelled the word "Omellete"on their menu. We came here for brunch and ordered a Spanish omelette with baked potatoes and two stack pancakes. And coffee as well. Pancakes were fluffy and soft; butter, syrup and coffee were just okay but it can be better. Service is moderately fast. Prices are fair and competitive. Ample of parking space. Overall, we enjoyed our dining experience and highly recommend Annia's Kitchen.

Been here twice and both times haven't had a bad experience. The food is good. They do serve a lot and they are friendly. Sitting outside can get noisy but that's part of the experience. So far everything I have tried has been pretty good with no issues. Definitely making this a regular spot. Been mostly for breakfast. So havent tried lunch menu. Last plate I had was chile Verde. Good amount of spice and flavor.

The staff are great! Cesar, Angie, and Olivia take great care of us every time we come here to eat. I always get the beef dip with no au jous because it's that tender and juicy. We get a discount thanks to the Temple City promotion cards they sell for the Little League, so it's a win-win situation. Great size portions for fair prices. It's a pleasant atmosphere and great customers all around.

Good food for Sunday brunch. Just be careful eating on patio as a plane kicked up dust and covered our plates. Thankfully, we were almost done.

I always use this airport in the afternoon but I finally made it here the other day before closing time! Nice American/Mexican classic airport diner atmosphere that serves up brunch menus! I had a hearty meal at a fair price. Service was prompt. I can see it’ll be a fun brunch spot with the kids at the outdoor patio!

I love this place. My favorite things is the service the staff is so welcoming. They make sure you never run out of coffee ☕ The owner is usually there and he is super cool. I love coming here for breakfast and lunch the food is always on point.

Great local hot spot located in the “terminal” of a regional airport. Food is consistently great and you always have a great time watching the planes take off. I get the menudo on weekends and it’s consistently good. The whole menu rocks but I would say grab the Mexican food over anything else! ;) Only downside? Service can be a little slow because of the insane amount of people. (Not a bad problem to have!)

Food is good. A bit loud, but still nice. We had a server that wasn't too friendly to us, but was very friendly and smiling to male guests. She should treat everyone the same

The food is usually good. However, depending on who your server is, does matter. The last time I visited my wife and I, our son, and my mom. The experience was not to good our server DID NOT get our food to us right away hot, and our order was not complete when given to us as well for my mom and I. I will most likely be trying another restaurant, like say "Norms" A side note - we still tip good. But, we can decide to take our business elsewhere...

Food was yummy and service great , it was very busy and yet nothing lacked all staff were friendly smiles and attentive , we only waited less then 5 minutes and it was busy. You also have a option to sit outside in patio setting and see planes take off , pretty cool . Lots of variety of foods and desserts . Definitely better then Dennys

We went to the El Monte Airport for lunch. The weather was beautiful. You can see Mt Wilson and the TV towers. The place is within the airport. The place was clean. Staff was super friendly. You can eat indoor or outdoor. The little planes either was parked or they were getting ready to take off. There were 2 helicopters. It was very interesting to watch the planes land or take off. The food was good. They are opened till 2 p.m. The menu has breakfast, lunch and Mexican dishes. The prices are very reasonable too. I am going back to try the breakfast next time. If you like to watch planes take off or land or even better yet look at the beautiful San Gabriel Mountains. This is the place to go. I would recommend this cute place.
