I suffer from lower back pain and I was miserable and depressed about my quality of life. I was in a pain management program and I had to seek better care. I went to my primary care and asked for new referral. I selected Dr.Mahrou and my life is amazingly better. He was very thorough in my consultation and listened to my history of pain. He examined me and ordered MRI'S and lab tests. He scheduled me for epidural for cortisone/steroid and found the exact spot of pain L5 S1. This allows for a nerve block to ensure that precise location. My pain was released from a daily 5 to 7 to no pain. I felt cured. However this wears off but Dr Mahrou found that nerve area where other doctors did not. I moved to Radio frequency ablation and my quality of life has improved 100%. I have received the RFA and it lasted almost a year. I have my joyful personality back that was lost due to chronic pain daily. I am willing to have this procedure annually for my quality of life to be able to appreciate all the things that life has to offer but not able to participate with chronic pain. I have been extremely grateful for Being a patient of Dr.Mahrou.

Dr. Mahrou is the best pain specialist I'd ever been to. He takes care of all my needs and really listens when I'm telling him of new pains that are occurring. ABSOLUTELY the BEST. If it were not for Dr.Mahrou, I would not have the mobility I have today. As a patient who lives with chronic pain 24/7 Dr. Mahrou did not make my pain go away. Nope. He made living with pain manageable. Yes, my pain is real . Dr.Mahrou is a no nonsense doctor who happens to be one of the very few who is on time for patient visit and procedures. Seeing Dr.Mahrou is like watching a little kid open gifts on Christmas. I am so thankful he's my pain management doctor. One of the very few doctors in this field who understands what patients are going through. Without Dr.Mahrou I would have the worse quality of life.

When I first moved to SoCal I needed to find a pain specialist as quickly as possible so that my neuropathy pain could continue being managed without interruption. Dr. Mahrou was the first one that accepted new patients and even arranged an appointment the very next day. Over the years, he has always valued my input before prescribing any medication. I’ve always felt that it was a team effort and not just being dictated on what to do or what meds to take. Eventually, Dr. Mahrou suggested a neuro StimPak to help manage the pain in my hands. It has been a godsend. I truly believe it has prevented me from taking even more meds (which I’ve always been grateful that Dr. Mahrou prefers to find solutions that work rather than just increasing the amount of meds.) I am currently scheduled to go through the trial using the StimPak for pain relief in my feet. The stimulator does not solve the problems I have with pain, but it definitely gives me back a life that I could have easily given up on. Dr. Mahrou has always made himself available to me, day or night, if I ran into any problems with either my pain medications or the StimPak. He has been an amazing rock at times when I felt my world was crumbling from constant and debilitating pain. He listens, allows me to have input into my own care and has genuinely shown that he cares about me personally. His staff know me by name when I visit and are always cheerful and accommodating. I wish I didn’t have the pain, but if I have to have it, I sure am glad I have Dr. Mahrou in my corner.

Dr. Rafizad is truly a amazing doctor. He was extremely thorough and explained everything in a caring manner. It’s seems more and more rare these days to find a doctor who listens and truly cares about his patients well being. I am so happy I found this doctor.

Doctor Mahrou has been my doctor for 8 years. During that time he and his staff (Christina specifically) really go above and beyond to make sure all patients are taken care of. I’ve dealt with many doctors and I’ve never ever come across one as compassionate and caring for his patients as Dr Mahrou. He genuinely cares for his patients and their medical issues. He is not one to just hand out medication freely he wants to find the root of the problem and give all options of care. I can’t say enough good things about him. I truly consider myself blessed that I have a Doctor Who is stuck by me and cared for me the way Dr Mahrou has. When you go into any of his offices you will see the many awards and accolades presented to him for his service in the medical industry. Those are not just pretty wall decorations. Dr. Rafizad is a highly skilled and compassionate man. He has shown both sides to me, his patient for nearly two years. I would recommend him to anyone in need of dealing with chronic pain. He is able to help you overcome your fears and manage your pain.

Dr. Rafizad has terrible bed side manner and does not communicate well with his patients. If you can avoid going to see him for your pain. When going to the doctors for any reason we should be treated well and our needs should be first but that is not how Dr. Rafizad is, he was very rude, had terrible bed side manner with me, and didn't communicate how doctors are supposed to communicate with their patients.. The front desk staff is the same. They give you paperwork without saying a word even your first visit. Usually when I go to doctors offices the front desk is really friendly and helpful but this office NO ONE is... Just awful!

Pain care Providers is great clinic managed by Dr. Reza Mahrou. He is very open with his time and helps in any way he can. After 4 knee surgeries and complications with pretty severe back pain & neuropathy, he provides updated medical & technological solutions to help alleviate the discomfort. The staff is very professional, and they follow up quickly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking to be helped with managing and improving painful conditions.

The office of Dr Mahrou is very responsive to patient’s need and they get necessary procedures and approval paper work from the insurance vert fast. I am Very happy and I would recommend this office for pain Mamagememt.

I have had nothing but the best care from Doctor and the nurses have been marvelous very respectful you can understand when they explain something to you just all-around nothing but a good experience that’s why I continue to stay with this doctor for years now and plan on staying with him
