Beautiful paintings and historic items throughout. The main halls of the church all have important pieces on display as well as takes on some of the early invaders in Mexico. Make sure to have a nice meal before you go to this museum as it's very large and it can take several hours to cover everything.

It's a small town a few miles from Mexico City. If you can, avoid visiting it at weekends; because it's literally crowded! Yet, if you come during the week, you have to pay around 4 USD (year 2018) to enter, and it's free on Sundays. The museum is exquisite with real baroque pieces as it is part of a monastery. After visiting the museum, you may take a walk around the square and have a snack, mealor a drink in the nearby restaurant which most of them offer Mexican traditional food.

CHURRIGUERESQUE a term for Spanish Baroque Church is a splendor to behold. The Mexican orange structures that surrounds it compliments the beauty of the centuries old church. The Jacaranda trees that accents the orange walls of the bars and restaurant on the left side of the church makes the composition naturally perfect. This place is part of the “Camino Real del Tierra Adentro” the old Spanish road that stretches 2,900 km that starts from Mexico City to New Mexico if the United States. A must to visit in Mexico

A great place to visit 😊 which reach arquitectur and increible in sites however the most incredible thing is all the internal section of the church made of gold sheets and actual gold pieces, the other place with such amount of Gold is the Church of San Pedro in the Vatican🇻🇦. Is worth the trip to also enjoy after it, the local food 😋.

This is a big museum that contains Jesuit priests old life details, entry to church which has a breath taking view of the altar with golden paint all over. The museum also contains pictures and hand work of Jesus, Mother Mary, St Joseph, Many saints and angels, Mayan ruins pictures , Spanish history in Mexico and a lot many to go through in this museum. The bathroom are very neat and the entire area is well maintained. There is no entry fee on Sunday only.

If you came to Mexico City and want to know something else, something beautiful, calm, historical and cultural, then you should visit this "magical town" and its impressive landmark "Museum of Viceroyalty". Also if you like classical music, you should check the schedule of the museum, cause on many Sundays you can attend to a recital inside the marvelous gold covered chapel. Here you can find oil masterpieces from the best Mexican painters at the time. One of them was so brilliant he was nicknamed "El divino" as Michelangelo. Curiously his real first name is also Miguel, for Miguel Cabrera.
