Not much to see in terms of an exhibit but the building itself is absolutely beautiful. It is worth your time to walk in and check it out

(Translated by Google) Excellent venue to learn about medical evolution from pre-Hispanic Mexico to today. Although the rooms are usually a bit old, the visits are still enjoyed. The entrance has no cost, so you can enjoy with the whole family. Museum nights are usually very interesting. Sundays are usually very crowded, take your precautions. Temporary exhibitions don't usually add much. Highly recommended. Altamente recomendable.

Very cool free museum. Keep in mind there is no English translation for the Spanish info boards. My Spanish is mediocre so I wasn’t understanding a ton of the descriptions but still super fascinating to see the collections!

We did NOT get to go inside here - there’s a paper sign on the door saying that the place is closed until 7/24, which isn’t updated on Google maps. It seems promising though!

Formerly the headquarters of the Inquisition that later became the academy of medicine. It now serves as a museum to the history of medicine in Mexico, spanning pre-hispanic times to the 20th century. It's worth a visit just to see the building itself which is quite architecturally impressive and unique. Be sure to note the "hanging arches" in each of the four corners which don't rest on columns!

Great architecture and very well organized exhibitions of different aspects of medicine. Some displays might cause some discomfort, but they are really great reminders of how vulnerable lives are and how medicine and surgeries save / improve people’s lives.

Interesting exhibits on medicine in Mexico, including traditiinal indigenous medicine, medical art installations, and preserved turn of the century medical school rooms and laboratories. For someone who is in medicine this will be very fascinating, but others may not be as excited. Also, it's free!

Such a beautiful palace needs to be known by everyone that comes to Mexico. The Mexican medicine museum, a pretty complete library, the historical archive as well as the meetings hall and the exposition of the Inquisition and torture. You can even find lots of cultural activities almost daily there.

Accidentally went into this museum while exploring Mexico city. Maybe I am biased as a future medical professional, but this place is simply amazing! The admission is free, and they are open on Mondays. A lot of different things to see, organized by the different fields of medicine: gynecology, ophthalmology, plastic surgery, etc. Some of the exhibit pieces may not be for the faint of heart, such as fetuses or full preparation of the corpse. However, if you are interested in medicine and medical history, it is a must see.

(Translated by Google) There are about 10 rooms, some a little larger but generally small. They have many interesting gadgets, explanations, and wax representations of various diseases. Interesting but it does cause distaste for the accuracy of the representations. Recommended for youth and adults and for those with an interest in medicine. I do not recommend bringing children. Excellent place to visit for both learning and inspiration: I usually find large museums hard to concentrate, but UNAM had small rooms with many visuals which helped me to focus on the specific topics and actually enjoy touring each room without being overwhelmed. Would totally recommend.

Stumbled upon this building/museum. Anyone interested in biology or medicine will enjoy walking around and exploring. FREE on our visit (Monday), not sure if it's always free or not. Very cool to read and learn about medicine from ancient time through to the 20th century. There is no English text, but those without English will still enjoy. Recommended!

This building served originally as the Palacio de la Inquisision. Today's there's only a sign marking the site. Nothing else about the inquisition there. Today it serves as the Museo de Medicina Mexicana. The review is about that. The entrance was free when i attended. The exhibits (all in Spanish) were very good, complete, and informative.

(Translated by Google) It is a very interesting museum since if you want to study medicine or some branch related to it, this is the first step to know about its history and as previously it was possible to understand the complexity of the human body, its organs and its location. There is also a section where plants and their home remedies are displayed and how they are used and see this, it gives you to understand that the human being is a complex being and that his desire to study is great.
