In A Nutshell: -Parque Espana is such a cool park! -If you own a dog, this is the place everyone takes their dogs, some people take one, some take 10+, seriously, the people of CDMX really love dogs. -I like the outdoor workout equipment, I mean I saw people lifting rocks, I love that stuff, hardcore natural body weight exercises, definitely my cup of tea. -The park is small, yet it's big enough to get a nice brisk walk to start your day or to take a break from your day. -There are plenty of trees to provide nice, cool shade & there's some water features too. -Keep a lookout for the lady who sells pastries & coffee, her little pushcart stands out b/c there tons of honeybees hovering on or near her cart due to them eating the sugar she uses for the coffee. Overall, this is a really nice park, you should definitely check it out.

This was a very fun park. I have a 4 and 1 year old boys. They speak English and Spanish and the kids at the park were pretty diverse. There are a few vendors outside with snacks. Downside was there was no bathrooms open. So we had to go to a restaurant for the potty. It was not very at busy when we went on Monday at 2pm. It was very shady and had age appropriate areas and plenty of benches for parents to sit on. The swings were playful and super cool. It's pretty stroller friendly and has lots of places to eat around it. Also it's fenced in with high fenced area and one entrance.

I always love coming back to this park. The place is so green and fresh because of all the vegetation it's got. The one thing that spoiled it for me this time is that it was really dirty.

Not as big as neighboring Parque Mexico but the children's play area might be the same size or bigger, has bathrooms and a library branch adjacent, and has a nice tall fence around the whole play area. As a comparison, the kids playground at Parque Mexico has a low fence which I discovered one day was the right size for my 5 year old to hop over and go running in the bushes outside the play area to play hide and seek, so I much prefer the 10 feet high iron fence at Espana. The park has wide walking trails all over and some vendors for snacks, water, kids' toys, and on Sunday at least, a vendor renting four person bikes for 50 pesos for 30 minutes. If you are here on a weekend and want a lively park with a long leisurely walk, go to Parque Mexico. If you want a park to take your kids to and see a little less, come to Espana.
