Absolutely amazing! When arriving, I was in awe with the aesthetic of the restaurant. I can’t put into words how beautiful. We went for lunch and had a wonderful time. The staff make you feel special. The food was a 10/10. I highly recommend going here 😊

They told us that they were already full in the garden area at 2pm on a Friday. Does this look full? We wanted to eat at this restaurant because it had great reviews and seemed promising. However if they just want to place us in the place where no one else was seated, in the outer courtyard, then at an empty room, I would rather just eat at home instead of a “nice” restaurant!

This is one of the most iconic garden restaurant in CDMX. Now during this health emergency, watch out for the following guidance: Need to book in advance Parties no larger than 5 ( they wont be able to join tables) not even in garden No celebrations ( no candles) Food was good, but it was somehow crowded and service wasn’t at their best. Bathrooms are really clean and there’s a lady cleaning and sanitizing after each use. As any other restaurant in CDMX, you will need to sanitize shoes, hands before entering the restaurant and they will measure temperature. I recommend Jaibas Tampico the have tons of butter but really tasty!

Amazing large Mexican hacienda restaurant in a beautiful garden setting with delicious traditional flavours of Mexican cuisine. Friendly service with English menus if required. Shrimp Tacos, Duck Tacos, Sea Bass & Grouper are some of the selection of dishes we had together with Mexican salsas and dips. The original estate goes back to 1616 and the San Angel Inn Restaurant opened on June 13, 1963. Across the road is the Studio museum and house of Diego Rivera & Frida Kahlo so a great place for a weekend lunchtime.

Absolutely gorgeous and spectacular. The service was classy and attentive , the drinks to die for ; best frozen Margaritas we ever had. The chicken with Mole was special and the environment and gardens are to be admired. We cannot wait to be back 😁

Absolutely beautiful restaurant in a charming neighborhood. Service is impeccable. Stunning courtyard seating area. Very good Traditional Mexican specialties. There is a wonderful mariachi band, not intrusive. Wonderful memory for time in Mexico City. It.

Great restaurant to try Mexican and international food. It is on a higher level and service is great. The place is located in the heart of San Angel. There are beautiful gardens, and salons. You can also contemplate a mix of upper class people.

What a lovely place to have brunch. The veranda is beautiful. Excellent service. There was an English menu so that was helpful. Chilaquiles with eggs was delightful and provided just enough of a spicy kick. The fresh orange juice was refreshing.

This is a gorgeous property with excellent food and service. Don’t pass up the chicken tortilla soup and you can’t go wrong with the dinner options. Cap the night with a carajillo. It’s one of the best I’ve ever had.

A wonderful restaurant with an excellent selection of Mexican dishes, with an exceptional service and vibrant atmosphere. San Angel Inn was a real treat when visiting Mexico City! The place is elegant and beautifully decorated, and the staff attentive and service oriented. We enjoyed excellent meal accompanied by tasty drinks, from a classic Margarita to a very interesting wine selection. We felt especially warm vibes and a true attention to detail!

Starting with the positives, excellent service and beautiful location. The food is good (although not better than a lot of other restaurants in the city and nothing particularly stood out to us. I just don't think the price is reflective of the quality or quantity of the food. We've paid less for a Michelin tasting menu before and we only had main courses.

Lovely garden, impressive food, loved the salad, and great service. Very well known in Mexico City. If you wish to have a good table (in the garden) make sure to make reservations well in advance.

A beautiful place for brunch with a great atmosphere and excellent service. I’m giving this place 4 stars because the food was mediocre and the lattes weren’t good. The best thing from this place was the pan dulce, and fresh natural juice in a very beautiful garden and fountain. I would come back for pictures and to show a pretty garden but definitely not returning for the food or lattes.

San Angel Inn restaurant has a lot of history to it and it’s been a city staple for decades. But for those visiting town and those that are yet to discover it, I want to say, it won’t disappoint. The restaurant is housed in a espectacular old hacienda. It’s perfectly manicured gardens and terraces are now being used as part of the restaurant to space out tables due to Covid. The menu brings together some Mexican classics (Chiles en Nogada, in season now) as well as some French staples such as fois gras, chateaubriand, etc. Their cocktails are true to their original recipes. You can’t go wrong with their classic margarita, no sugar added, just the perfect mix of triple sec, tequila and lime juice. Enjoy!

No words to explain it....food is out of this world....the service which is rarely seen anymore. an old nun convent which was owned by Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo with lush gardens...enjoy this one of a kind place

Elevated traditional Mexican cuisine. Good place to have family style dining. Make sure to try the tamarind margarita!

Historic destination with the best margaritas in town. Beautiful architecture, great service. Can’t decide what I loved the most; the cow brains were to die for, ant eggs were 🔥, the fermented corn was incredible and the pig intestines were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The servers will actually prepare some of the dishes at your table, the Caesar salad is a must. I would recommend this destination for any fellow foodies with an expanded palate. Reserve ahead of time to get a table in the garden, that said dining inside is also very nice

Exceptional service, cocktails and wine. Food was fine. Has a sort of country club vibe (conservative) but is fun to sit in the gorgeous garden by the fountain - am sure inside by the fireplace is also great. Had a lovely evening here.

Enjoyed lunch on 24th December. Beautiful surroundings, good attentive service . Food choices good but chateau breaune not prepared as ordered and was cold. Overall , culinary presentations good 3*. Clients appeared to be well heeled local Mexican people ,quite a few families. Nice time. Quite formal on a 'festive ' day.

Bustling atmosphere. Stunning garden. Classic Bloody Mary. Juiciest shrimp tacos. Amazing flan.

The place is awesome, we recommend going early (8-8:30am) since it can get quite busy, and although there's some spacing between tables, given covid it'd be best if you avoid that. Plus you get the place to yourself(ves) and you can walk the gardens and take pictures all alone. As a Mexican I can attest that the food served there is very good (although portion size isn't as big as other places) my wife and I prefer quality over quantity.

Classic place in Mexico City. Beautiful setting, set in an former hacienda. It is classy, touristic and local all at the same time. A must of you are in that part of the city. The food is also traditional and upscale.

San Angel Inn is an old Estancia (farm mansion) with beautiful gardens that was converted into a restaurant. All the house corridors are now full of tables. They have kept the old church altar that was typical to have in these family houses. We wanted to have just a drink, but it was an election day, so no alcohol could be served. However the mentioned that if we had something to eat we could also have a drink. We settled for Ribeye tacos, which were excellent, as well as the service.

Beautiful gardens, amazing vibe, very posh place but I was a little disappointed with their food. Some dishes, like tacos and crab crepes were really tasty but the quail, Mexican stake and chicken parmesan were plain looking and plain tasting. The lack of plate presentation really surprised me since everything else looked really upscaled. I still give them five stars for their superb service and wonderful atmosphere

Amazing grounds and atmosphere. Flowers and plants everywhere. Really upscale restaurant with excellent service. Drinks were all excellent. The coffee was delicious. Margarita was good. Food presentation could be improved. It looked very plain on the plate and could have tasted better. Bread was delicious

Deeply enjoyed breakfast at the San Ángel Inn. Valet parking was deeply appreciated for the area, service was attentive, and the garden space was beautiful and peaceful. The food was delicious and the price lower than anticipated for the high-quality experience.
