The best restaurant in Mexico. It would have 8 out of 5 stars, if possible. Service, food & atmosphere all superb. Recommend a table at the bar, in front of the kitchen, fascinating watching a highly trained team all working in unison. There was no Gordon Ramsay style shouting just supportive team work!! All the food was immense from the starters to the mains to the desert. Highly highly recommend booking a table 2 or 3 days in advance. There are always queues outside. It’s worth coming to Mexico City just for the food here. The price was reasonable for the quality of the food and service.

We got here after a long day at the National Anthropology Museum and Chapultepec Castle. We didn’t have a reservation and wanted to sit outside so there was a wait for a table. We didn’t know what to order so we asked our waiter to his recommendations. We ended up ordering all his recommendation and we were not disappointed. All the food was delicious. Highly recommend this place.

Tried this place twice during my stay and oh my gosh! The dinner and their drinks are great, but the brunch is something else. The staff is super nice; they messed up something with our dinner but they we t above and beyond to make it up and be a great host. Love love love!!!

We saw this place as one of Condesa’s top brunch/breakfast places and were so lucky to find the last available spot. I really loved my tomatoes and basil stew accompanied with bread and an egg. My partner had chilaquiles - which he found okay as he wasn’t convinced by the burrata substituting the traditional cheese. However, he really liked the carrot juice (containing as well as other traditional Mexican fruit). I loved my cinnamon roll - so buttery, slightly warm and very filling. What I really didn’t enjoy was my flat white with almond milk, just that’s because I overall don’t like the taste of alternative milk here in Mexico, it seems quite watery compared to Europe. The place was full, but staff was attentive and quite responsive. Definitely recommended, even just for the huge pastry selection they have and the really nice interior/exterior.

Loved this place! Gorgeous little restaurant with a beautiful aesthetic. The cute little bakery on the end with the fresh loaves of bread on display, the vintage styled plateware, and all the lush plants around the exterior really make the atmosphere. Waited almost no time at all to be seated, even during the lunch rush (though it was a Monday) and all the waitstaff were super friendly, and provided excellent recommendations from the menu. I also really appreciated all the open air, not just because it was pleasant, but for covid safety - and I really was grateful to see all the staff in masks and face shields. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Would definitely recommend.

Lardo is a staple in the Condesa neighbourhood. There will always be a bit of a wait if you don’t book ahead but it’s well worth it. Great atmosphere and even better food! I can probably come for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and still not be bored. You should also never leave Lardo without having a dessert so make sure you order accordingly to be able to do so or take one home! You won’t regret it!

Ordered delivery. Tamales were nice and really enjoyed the sauces - especially the verde sauce. The tamales themselves were a slightly cold and could tell they weren’t cooked fresh, so a point off here. Very fast service though! Update - to a 5-star experience. The pizza was just absolutely fabulous.

Amazing brunch! Love the place itself - jungle vibes. The food was great, ordered to share. Their bakery is spectacular, I highly recommend the guava roll, fig croissant and dulce de leche muffin. For food we got the pancakes and chilaquiles, portions are small. The service was on point, very friendly and quick. Place is pricey but worth it!

We came for Sunday Brunch based on all the reviews. We had to wait for 1 hour to get in. It was really busy. The restaurant is beautiful and decorated really nice. The portions were really small especially the Smoked Salmon Benedict. Two of our kids were starving. The juices were also tiny. Crocke Madam was excellent. Overall we were disappointed by the whole experience. The price/food ratio was lacking Service was really good. But at times, I felt that we were being rushed so our table could be used for others.

The guava roll is divine. Don’t skip it. Tbh everything else is okay - it’s not amazing but it’s solid food. Oh and heads up the risotto is not risotto it’s more like a cake of rice. Ambiance is great tho and the plates are pretty. Servers can be a bit over enthusiastic - kept trying to clear plates that weren’t not finished (and no we weren’t there for a long time)

Delicious international menu featuring fresh fish and much more in La Condesa barrio. Comfortable bar seating which is nice when dining solo. Its in between casual and upscale environment. Great ceviche, heirloom salad, and grilled octopus. Large salad menu and extensive wine list at reasonable prices. That’s all for now

Wonderful vibes, great food, and friendly team. Sit at the bar to watch them make some of their unique dishes. A must go for brunch! They also have a cute outdoor covered area and a take away window for coffee and pastries

The atmosphere is very nice and the service is great. The food was good, we enjoyed the appetizers a lot more than the entrees. The pizza was lacking flavor and a bit dry. The guava cream croissant was delicious as well as the cappuccino. I would come back for apps and this. Yum.

I went here 2 times over the 2 weeks I stayed in Condesa. Once on my own for lunch and sat at the bar and once for brunch with a friend. Both times, the food was delicious. On my own, I had the toast with tomato and ham. I also had the rabbit pappardelle which was delicious. For brunch I had the grilled octopus which was cooked perfectly, no small feat. The wine list was robust. The songs were great. The waiters were friendly and attentive. ⭐️

Had a delicious dinner here with my partner! We didn’t have a reservation so we sat at the bar — definitely make a reservation if you can, the bar seats are very uncomfortable. Otherwise the food and drinks were amazing. We had the zucchini flowers, pita and hummus, margarita pizza, and the sticky toffee pudding 🤌

Hot chicks galore. Not sure about the food I had a coffee and a doughnut. They were pretty good. But by far the most attractive thing about the place are the smoking hot customers.

This was my go-to breakfast spot while I was in the city. It’s full of visitors of all over the world and they have a English language menu for those of us not up to working out the Spanish before we’ve had a cappuccino. It’s lively and delicious and casual, I needed up here for dinner one night and was surprised that it really delivered as well as breakfast / lunch. I wouldn’t say it’s a destination on its own but if you are in the area, and the tiniest bit hungry, go and check it out!

(Translated by Google) For the first time I dared to come out of quarantine and I was met with bad care. Visibly tired and fed up staff. The manager, waiter, hostess and collector could not attend us because he had to check if there was room, sad because the place was empty. No way, I loved this place. Phenomenal restaurant. Everything we ordered was to perfection and prices were also reasonable for such a nice place. We had a guava roll with cappuccino and hot chocolate to start. I had the Verde Chilaquiles and my partner had the tomato stew with a fried egg. We also has a Verde juice which was good but wasn't the main attraction to be honest. We will certainly be back soon!

I arrived in La Condesa, Mexico City very late due to a massive flight delay. I wasn’t able to eat at all that day so I was hungry yet doubtful that restaurants would still be open. Thankfully, Lardo was one of the few places open at late hours (kitchen closes at 10:30pm on Fridays) so I walked over and ordered whatever stood out to me on the menu. I ordered the Green Salad with pine nuts vinaigrette, Parma ham croquettes, and Lamb kebab and yoghurt. The lamb kebab comes in the form of 2 tacos, which I didn’t realize. Salad and croquettes were good, but the lamb was just okay. Reasonable prices. The vibe of the restaurant is chill, darkly lit but welcoming interior with diners who seemed like professionals in their late 20s and 30s, some were older. Overall I was happy with the experience.

Lardo was one of my favorite Mediterranean places in Mexico City. It has some delicious dishes and a cool atmosphere even though we were seated outside but still surrounded by plants. The only thing that would further improve is the quality of the service. It took a while for some dishes to come and one of the waiters mistakenly said they didn’t have the bruschettas we wanted but the other waiter fixed it

The food is tasty and service is superb. We came early around 9am without a reservation and there are tables. However, it is a very loud place perhaps on the weekend. It was a little unpleasant that it was so busy and loud sitting outside.

Cute restaurant with great atmosphere and service. The huitlacoche gruyere purslane pizza is the best fusion pizza I’ve ever had for a long time. Not a fan of wagyu barbacoa as it had no flavor. Grilled octopus flavoring is pretty good. Save some appetite for desserts as they will blow your mind. I’ve never had a carrot cake Mille-feuille and it turned out to be a gem. Rhubarb tart tasted like a mini pie, you can really taste the layers. In general we are very happy with our dining experience here.

Nice brunch spot that gets very busy. We waited about 1.5 hours on a Friday before we got seated. The menu is pretty simple with mostly breakfast items and pastries. Everything was delicious and not over priced. I’d come back if the wait wasn’t too long but it’s definitely worth the experience if you haven’t been here yet.

First food stop in México city and it was amazing. All these dishes were so different yet so delicious. Awesome vibe too, and sitting at the bar, you get to see the food being made. Staff was very friendly and attentive and the place was packed for early dinner time.

Such a hip European style restaurant. Service was excellent including waiter recommendations. Our dishes were traditional style dishes but with a local flare. All of which were excellent full of flavor and of quality ingredients which we enjoyed sharing amongst us friends to try the variety of dishes. Top quality dishes along with the perfect European vibes paired to perfect cocktails by the bartender. Will definitely return to this fantastic restaurant. Cheers.

We had a wonderful experience at Lardo! We went on a Friday morning around 10am and it was quite packed already, but we were able to get a table at the bar after 10 min or so. Most of the staff spoke a little English so we were able to order easily. They were also able to recommend some items for us to try. We tried the pastries, some entrees, coffee and juices. All were absolutely wonderful and so affordable. With tip, we spent about $30USD for the two of us. Overall, great place to visit - so green, so calming, such a charming oasis in the city!

Wonderful restaurant! Had an exquisite lunch here. Fried pumpkin stuffed with ricotta was light and delicious. The green salad was sublime. As were the Margarita pizza and onion pizza. Super thin crust and done to perfection! Will definitely come back. Also beautiful ambiance and fun to sit at the bar and watch the chef! Highly recommended !!!!!

Went for brunch twice during our stay! Service is quick and efficient. Food is really really good. The portions are great and flavors are perfect. I had a matcha latte the first time; forgetful. The highlight is definitely the pastries - guava roll is to die for. I also enjoyed the empanada pastry. Definitely a must try. Good value for your money. Will run about 400 for two plates, 1 drink and pastry.

WORTH IT!! This place is buzzing with energy! I tried the pizza with the crispy crust and the salads, which are not your average boring greens. The service is prompt and welcoming, too! You might have to wait a bit to get in if you don't have a reservation, but it's worth it.

We sat at the bar in front of the grill and wood-fired stove. It was a pleasure to watch the staff work tirelessly to freshly cook all of the evening's dishes. Our meal was incredible and so was the wine, which is causing me to forget what exactly we ate! hah The house bread was exceptional with the hummus and olives. A ceviche special was also excellent. We had a delicious eggplant dish and some lovely fish over polenta. But dessert stole the show. My favorite was a chocolate hazlenut torte which literally blew my mind, and the ricotta and strawberry ice cream was incredible as well.

(Translated by Google) The phenomenal bread, the attention to take away in the box is fantastic, always with a smile and fast. If they make a mistake, they solve it immediately to the customer's satisfaction. My only but, if you are at an outside table you cannot eat in peace, everyone asks you for money and the waiters a little "calm" if you are in a hurry, if you go early it is excellent! When in Mexico City head to La Condessa and give Lardo an afternoon or two. Whether it be for breakfast or a twilight cocktail, this local restaurant is gorgeous. It's perched on the top end of a beautiful boulevard under a canopy of beautiful trees and the feel is really something.

Good ambiance, the place is lovely and very cozy, love the decor. Had the lentil soup because I wanted to go all out on dessert and it was the perfect choice. It felt like healthy and exotic comfort food. The house bread was crispy and just lovely. The dessert was fantastic, I wanted to try everything but I decided to try the carrot cake with ice cream, not only is it pretty but the flavors are wonderful together.

One of my favorite restaurants in Mexico City. Great Mediterranean food in a simple but charming setting. The wood fire oven churn out great baking goods. The pasta 🍝 was rich in flavor and the pan de tomate with anchovies made me feel like I was in Asturias in Spain. Also, don’t forget to try desserts.

This used to be a great place, but it doesn't live up to the hype any more, changing the rating from 4 to 2 stars. They sell gift cards that the staff doesn't know how to redeem. Las time we ate here we had lasagna to go and covid seemed to have been the perfect excuse to drop quality. This time we had a staff member snap at us and that's the best reason for taking our business elsewhere.

(Translated by Google) Excellent place. The breads are wonderful (the mamey berlinesa is something spectacular), the breakfasts that we tried fantastic. The croque madam is very well prepared, the bread is well toasted and not runny like in some places, also the bread is quite good and has a good amount of ham and cheese. Quiche with a very good texture and flavor. However, the drinks are not outstanding, we ordered latte and cappuccino, both were brought warm (and being outside they cooled very quickly). The cappuccino is small, and the taste is average. Finally, if you're Mexican, don't be surprised that all diners with a foreign accent (which are the majority) are served first (and best).

Ordered the lamb kebab. I was honestly expecting an actual kebab. Instead I got two Naan like tortillas with some sort of ground meat seasoned with spices. The presentation and portion was very poor for a restaurant this pricey. That was very disappointing but I was in a rush and couldn't do anything about it. I had more of a meal from the side bread they brought me. Extraordinary Ruibharb pie with equally extraordinary pistachio ice-cream. I am rarely pleased with pistachio ice cream but this one was one of the best I've ever had. It has grounded pistachios in it. So the flavor experience is rich. It goes well with the sour in the ruibharb. As always panadería Rosetta is outstanding for its bakery.

Probably closer to 4.5 stars, really nice place with good food and hip atmosphere. We went for drinks and a snack, will head back for breakfast later.

One of the best restaurants in the neighborhood, simple but well executed menu, the food could be a fusion of Mexican and Italian food stepping away from all the cliches of both cuisines creating an amazing gastronomic experience.

Really cute spot. 10/10 service - best we've had so far. Our waiter was really attentive, funny and he helped us get some vegan options (off menu) The best coffee we've had as well! We had the lavender scone, which was unreal as well as the choco, raisin and walnut bread. Known for their pastries, they have a great selection inc vegan + GF. For our main we tried the baked oatmeal and they made us a sandwich of rocket, aubergine, avo, tomato etc... Very accomodating! Would recommend. Lovely modern decor with flowers and plants everywhere 🌿💮

Probably closer to 3-1/2 stars. Some of the food was blander than needed. I had the pulpo which was cooked quite nicely. Very tender and not rubbery. Service could use some improvement, but they were pretty good. Beautiful location and nice outdoors seating

Solid 4.5 stars! Wait was 30 minutes for a table around 9:45 AM on a Saturday. The atmosphere is nice inside and the service is pretty excellent. I ordered the croque madam and a fruit pastry and a latte. The croque madam was delicious, with a perfectly cooked fried egg and a great sandwich underneath. The pastry is very tasty as well. Latte was good but unfortunately it was not very hot, it came out last even after the food. The small negatives: not hot latte served last, I also asked for the bill three times and waited 10 minutes for the check.

Really good food, coffee and desserts! But without a reservation the waiting time can be really long. The offert us an table at the bar (15min) waiting time. The tables were all booked out. Luckily one table was canceled while we were waiting for the bar. So if you want to enjoy this lovely food, better make an reservation. :)

Highly recommend this place. Tasty food, lovely ambience at the outdoor seating, and great service. Food came in smaller portion but it is perfect because as a party of 2, we got to order 5 different dishes. Will definitely come back again.

I can’t say much because I didn’t order many things. I liked the croquetas de Parma but they were a bit salty, the homemade lemonade was amazing though 💯. The tarta de maracuyá was also very good and not so sweet 🙌🏻. The place is beautiful and relaxing, the service was very good as well. I do recommend you give it a try.

One of my favorite places in CDMX. There might be a line but almost always I get a place at the bar and enjoy watching the open kitchen. As a vegan I always find delicious options there - hummus or babaganush with oven baked pita bread, soups, olives, salads - the vibe is great, scenic people and awesome service

So we had to return a second time during our trip. Aside from the extraordinary food and complex blend of flavors, it is pure joy to watch the team work the kitchen. They are calm, serious, all equally committed to the highest level of service and excellence in food prep. I will always sit at the bar to watch them, despite it being very hot near oven and griddle

Delicious! Beautiful restaurant. Shared a bunch of plates, the steak & raspberry and carrot cake mille feuille were amazing, literally came back a second night just for the dessert

This place is in the La Condessa neighborhood such a hip, trendy and cool area. The food was delicious and plated well. My eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection The matcha latte was rich and smooth. Highly recommend

YUM! Super popular restaurant, really need reservations here. Upscale, modern setting. We enjoyed sitting outside. Tapas style restaurant- I’d recommend sharing multiple items and keep in mind that they’re smaller portions. Lamb kebab and burrata w/ persimmon really stood out. Really delicious drinks here! Aperol spritz and st germain spritz were delicious. Great service here too!

I came here twice, once for lunch and the next time for dinner. When they sat me outside for lunch, they told me I could only have the table for one hour. Then they proceeded to take 35 minutes to bring out my meal. I had some chicken with artichokes and spinach, which was good but over salted, and a chocolate hazelnut mousse in the form of a cake with a crunch base, which was divine. I enjoyed my dinner experience much more because I did not feel as rushed and because the service and my meal were both much better. I had some celery soup (for which they were able to provide me with warm gluten-free bread!) and white fish in meunière sauce with almond and turnip flower, which was great. I finished with the chocolate and avocado mousse, where the avocado portion was a pleasantly cold kind of sorbet and the chocolate mousse was pipped into pretty ribbons on the plate. Together they went well balancing butter and sweet, alone not as much. I've been to a few other nice-ish restaurants this week during my short visit, and Lardo is hands down the nicest of the four in terms of food, service, and ambiance.

Dinner looks great but we went for breakfast, which was fantastic. Excellent baked goods and coffee, with amazing fancy mexican flavored egg breakfasts. Busy later in the morning, but easy seats at the bar.

Wonderfully mastered the art of Mexican Mediterranean fusion. The dishes had interesting flavors and were quite good especially in this price point. I’d definitely visit again.

Our waiter was really nice. I think he may have been new but he was polite and attentive with us. I appreciate it! The food was really good too. I got the guava bread and the english muffin. The breads definitely feel and taste freshly made. They were so soft. We went at 8am and there was no wait.
