We heard a lot about the tacos here from both vegans and non-vegans alike. One of our tour guides in Mexico even mentioned that despite being a non-vegan, he rated the tacos here among the very best in the city. And to our delight, everything we heard about the place was true. We came here for three meals in the four days we spend in Mexico City. We were also pretty lucky that it was only a mile from where we stayed. The Al pastor is the shining jewel in their menu and rightly so. It’s just a perfect blend of heat, fat, and acidity. Over the course of the 3 meals we tried all of their tacos, some of my other favorites were alambre and the chorizo-verde. The cactus topping and the habanero salsas ( pineapple habanero in particular) gave an added depth of flavor. We paid an average of 4-5 usd per meal consisting roughly of about 5-6 tacos. The tortas are good too but I would always go for the tacos. Too many things such as cheese, tomatoes and avocado make the flavors complicated and messed up. Don’t miss this place when you are in Mexico and especially if you happen to be a vegan/vegetarian. They have a brick and mortar store too 2 block away which is a sit-down type place. But we found it difficult to get seats , the wait times were usually 30-45 mins there. And so, we ended up at the stall 2 out of the 3 times. The sit-down place has a more expansive menu in addition to the tacos and tortas.

We turned up at 7pm on a Friday and there were only a few people waiting for food so we ordered straight away and the tacos were with us less than ten minutes later. We ordered the five al pastor and four more different tacos and they were all great, with the al pastor being the highlight. Nine between two of us was the right amount as we were very hungry! Really good value - it was around $220 for all those tacos and two refillable juices.

This was the first vegan spot my girlfriend and I got to try once we got to Mexico City. It's a nice little food cart. There was a line of people waiting for their food when we arrived. I got tacos al pastor and waited about 30mins for the food but it was worth every minute. The presentation was solid and the flavors were phenomenal.

Best vegan tacos I had in Mexico travelling for a month. My husband who is a meat eater said they were also up there for him! We tried lots of them but the chorizo and Chicharron were our faves. People are lovely, they take card, it’s cheap and they have loads of condiments. What more could you want! We also didn’t need to queue at like 2:30pm.

Very good Vegan food. A little high in fat but the overall taste is nice. There normally is a line so I recommend planning with a 5 min wait. Update: When you get you order to go the person packing just gives you 3 random things with it. We got 2 sauces and fries. When we asked to get other things the stuff said we can just get 3 things and this where what they choose for us. We ordered 15 pastor and 3 other things. The last times they had no problem giving us some of everything. I would also be ok with them asking before they pack. Then I would had ordered the Pastor in packs of 5 and gotten 9 toppings or sauces.

Amazing tacos! 5 tacos Al pastor for 65 MXP! The price is right and the quality is exceptional. You can spice up your tacos with a variety of salsas, black beans, pickled onions and nopales, papas, grilled onions and lime. I plan to go here every day during my 7 week stay.

When you need a quick, filling vegan meal on the go, there's nowhere better. Incredibly comprehensive menu for a food truck, at great prices. My favourite was the torta. You can add your own beans and salsa too, which I loved.

A vegan place and rumored to have really great Al pastor tacos for vegans or those who don’t eat pork. I only ordered the Al Pastor tacos and Not sure what the hype is about. Note: I love vegan and vegetarian food in general.

Por Siempre Vegana Taquería offers a terrific vegan food truck experience - where you stand by the truck and eat. Everything is vegan. Go early as they run out of stuff. In our group, two vegetarian people said - Best tacos ever! Everything is labeled but it helps to know Spanish.

Went there on a Thursday afternoon - they say the open at 1 pm but everything in Mexico City seems to be on some chill time so they weren’t ready until 1:30. Ordered the pastor taco and the seitan chimchurri. What makes the food better is that you do the topping salsas and fries by yourself. Salsa verde for me was the standout Food was phenomenal as others have mentioned here! Hoping to come back and try some more but there are so many vegan Places in this city and too little time to get to all of it !

Super meaty, flavourful tacos loaded with beans, nopales, and salsas. Brought two carnivore friends and they devoured them. Love the al pastor and bistec, they are juicy and well seasoned. Campechano is also very tasty. Definitely a favorite spot in cdmx.

What a find! I became vegetarian since I last went to Mexico and felt a little sad I would not have the taco stand experience but then we find this place. They had run out of al pastor but the rest was delicious with good service. Just wish they had seats to sit on!

The food was very good, unfortunately they had missing items I was looking forward to trying. For anyone who doesn’t know, like me, the gringas come basically as like a taco sandwich cut in half, not as a taco! I was surprised, I would recommend just getting the tacos with onion and cilantro! The guacamole was amazing! The service for the most part was good. The neighborhood is a cool vibe, good place to walk around. I would love to go back and try the things they didn’t have available! Hopefully I can make it there before I leave.

Finding good vegetarian/vegan tacos are tough but Veganos Taqueria solved this problem in Mexico City!! They have a whole delicious menu of vegan items and the spot has a street food like feel. People are friendly and the place is clean and safe to dine in or take out

Good vegan tacos de pastor and you can add salsas, nopales and more to your tacos, it’s really good for the price. It just gets really busy sometimes which seems to have an impact on their overall quality. It was better when I was there the first time two years ago. I wish them all the best to handle all those challenges with a lot of customers.

Great vegan taco place. Got mine to go and all was good even one hour later. Ask for papas, guacamole, and salsa w pineapple as well. Cecina and milanesa are my faves. Wish they would provide little stools or something to sit on. Regardless, it’s delicious! Kind of a long wait even with only 4 other people waiting.

Probably the most popular vegan taco stand in Mexico, like, all of Mexico. Don't forget to add vegan cheese to your taco to give a great boost of taste.

I think it is great to have a taco stand with vegan options. And for me the taste of the tacos and the price was okay. The salsas that they offer had not much spicyness, which I haven't seen in Mexico city yet. However, the reason I give lower ratings is the hygiene of the place. It is not very clean and doesn't feel appealing. I have seen a lot of food stands in Mexico city and they are extremely clean in comparison to this place. So I don't think that being a food stand is a problem. Also keep in mind that there is no place to sit.

Love this place, and the full-service restaurant version nearby. Tasty vegan tacos at almost the same prices as non-vegan. Plus the condiments and salsas are excellent and lots of nopal, beans, and potatoes to fill you up! Note that this is a food stand and there aren't really places to sit.

I don’t know if we just had a bad day, but it was the most rude service I have experienced here in Mexico. We needed to wait for the (street) food for 30 minutes, and we got one less than we ordered. The cashier was so disrespectful, he wouldn’t look us in the eye, made comments such as “we’re not a restaurant” when I asked for something ON the menu. I work in service myself and it can be late, you can be tired, but you need to show at least some respect to your client. The tacos themselves were mid, will try again in another location, maybe staff is kinder.

An amazing vegan torta, with a load of extras available. As you can see, I overdid it by asking for 'un poco de todo'. I'm going to have to try replicating this sandwich when I get home - it's the perfect hangover food! Will definitely be visiting again if we can.

The food here is SO SO good. Best tacos in all of Mexico and a really friendly, helpful team. Thank you The cakes are delicious too! All very reasonably priced. Great value for the area.

Had to wait 40 minutes for one torta and 4 people who ordered after me got their food way before I finally got my one torta. Staff was not very interested and worked super slowly. The torta was nice but definitely not worth the wait.

Unbelievable vegan tacos, especially the al pastor. My husband is not vegan and he loves them too. I came here twice in our week vacation and plan on coming back at least once more. I have no idea why there are so many negative reviews about the staff, they were so nice, don't let that dissuade you!!

The vegan pork (el pastor) was amazing. The vegan brisket was good too. Hibiscus drink was wonderful. Service great. Only negative is seating is tricky (turn right at the corner for some benches though and it’s easy)

Maybe today was just a bad day, but I ordered three tacos pastor, after waiting 30 minutes I went up to check they had my order right and to ask how much longer it would take. They told me another 15 minutes, so I left. Waiting 45 minutes for street food is just too much, even if it is for the best tacos.

This is my go-to place for street tacos every time I go to Mexico. My favorites are the tacos Al pastor.

Hands down the best tacos I've ever had. I've been vegan for 5 years and trust me, these stand above all the rest. The Big Bebe and bistec tacos were my absolute favorites. I was in the city for 5 days and visited Por Siempre every single day. Great food, great price. Friendly folks.
