They didn't get the drinks right as well had to explain what we wanted. Also had some steak and it came back medium raw which we didn't ask for as well. This place wasn't what we expected from other reviewers. Hands down not a place I would like to visit again. Don't go move on don't waste ur money.

The service was amazing. Our waiter (holding the dessert menu) was so patient and funny and let us feel right at home. The food was good but not the best we’ve tasted. There was one meeting being held where I think someone was being fired, which I feel was very unprofessional to have out in public and see the employees upset about getting ‘scolded’ (we assumed that was what was happening based on everyone’s facial expressions and body language). The girl being scolded the most was not too friendly anyways though and she was the hostess. We did pick a table on the road side which was our mistake. The only other issue was being interrupted by street vendors constantly even while eating or being attended by the waiter. We spent over $1,700MXN (tip included) for 3 people. We stress the attentiveness of the waiter and we enjoyed the mini concert from a Cuban band.

The atmosphere here was the perfect way to start my vacation in Mexico City. The food, drinks and service were incredible. I can't wait to eat there again.

This was first restaurant of my Mexico visit and it sure did not disappoint. Ordered Chicken Enchilada along with Cantarito cocktail and both were delicious. Cocktail was perfect with combination of spicy and citrus. But the main highlight was the red and green enchilada sauce they provide. Requested extra chopped onion and chilies to spice max the taste. Staff is courteous and helps out with any additional requests. Will visit again for sure ! Only downside I observed is with waiting staff asking tip that is 10% of total bill. Maybe I am new to American continent so might find it indifferent. ☺️

Late Night Eats - after a day full of discovery we were at that point late at night where hunger set in - checking the area for something open we came across El Mexicano open till 2am - the place was full but not crowded - the feeling was welcoming and not rushed or bothered - the food...thank goodness for awesome late night eating! Try the Nopales con Queso - the Mole was amazing - the Black beans a must try and if we could we would have ate plenty more! Give this place a try especially if it's late and it seems no other options are available.

Ate here during business trip. Coworker had the traditional tortilla soup which looked incredible and came with a wide assortment of toppings to add to it. He also had the trio of steak tacos and had way too much food! I opted to just do two simple tacos. I did one of the fried pork otherwise known as Carnitas and one of the chorizo. Both tacos were loaded with meat and the meat in both of them were perfectly seasoned and very flavorful. We had an assortment of accompaniments on the table of which I added a little bit to my tacos but not much because they were good as they were. Their guacamole is incredible!

The place seemed to have a nice atmosphere as we walked by so we decided to give it a try. It was a mistake! Guacamole was good but neither chicken nor pork had any taste (literally no spice was used) and on top of that, the pork was undercooked!
