The archaeological zone is amazing and it's a must if you are visiting Mexico City. HOWEVER, PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL!!! If you go by car right when you arrive there is a roundabout full with people dressed as if they would work for the Tourism ministry offering information. It starts small and they pretend that they are there just to guide you but soon they start promoting quad tours (80 EUR per person) claiming that if you don't go with them you won't be able to spend more than 10 minutes in the archeological zone. That is simply not true. The majority of their guides are not qualified so please stay away from them. Just drive by and go to the main parking. There you will be able to pay the entrance to the archeological zone (85 pesos per person and around 50 pesos to park the car) and get an authorised tour from there.

Get here early before the crowds and the sun. Very interesting architecture and history of the city. The plaques are very worn out so most are difficult to read. I would recommend either coming on a tour or downloading an audio guide. There are a lot of vendors with the annoying whistles/bird sounds but apart from that very interesting archeological site. Worth a day trip from CDMX.

I visited here a while ago for my anniversary and it was such an amazing experience. We fell in love with this place and can’t wait to return. The views are gorgeous. The food is always good. The people are lively. The history is deep. It was just such an amazing experience being on top of the pyramids viewing everything. Unforgettable!

That was the first and last time to pay for an official tour guide in a place like this, we arrived late and had not much time left so we tried a guide. He wasted 20min on taking us to friends store and then we didn't have enough time to take photos. The stuff they show is not worth to pay anything more than 300 pesos...

The word “awesome” is thrown around too much but in this case it truly is applicable. Just an amazing site that needs to be experienced to be believed.

Small little town. I come for the pyramids but had never been to the town. Ok to stop by if in the area but would not drive out of my way just to visit the town

So awesome!!! Recommend getting down early to beat the crowds. We didn’t book a guide and found the boards that we’re around informative. Don’t forget to pack a good hat and sunscreen as there is no shade. The store owners can get annoying if you’re not there to shop but I respect the hustle
