My wife and I had a wonderful time at the pyramid of the Moon. Go early and have the whole place to yourself. After spending time there head on over to the pyramid of the Sun. It's a casual :07 minute walk.

Truly amazing experience for young and old. Wondering in the historical footsteps of an ancient civilization is baffling. Unfortunately about 70% of the sight or restored but it still provides an great picture of the advancement and lifestyle of the Aztec people and culture.

My primary reason to visit the site was to see the Pyramid of the Sun, but certainly don’t sleep on the Pyramid of the Moon! You can’t currently climb the pyramids because of the pandemic, but you can still get a great idea of their scale (along with some great pictures). I only took off my mask for pictures, but there weren’t too many police around enforcing the rules.

Went on the 2nd day of their reopening a couple of weeks ago. While they don’t allow anyone to climb during the pandemic, it was still incredible to be able to see the ruins. Hire a guide to see Teotihuacán! It’s so worth it!! Tip: wear a hat and sunscreen. I ignored my guide thinking I would be ok on a mild, cloudy day with just sunscreen on my face. Wrong. I came back burned on my nose, back and head. Tip: bring lots of snacks and water if you don’t want junk food snacks they sell there. Even though we couldn’t climb any ruins, we still took 4.5 hours to walk and enjoy the entire grounds.

Sadly you cannot climb the pyramid any more. But it is still a very impressive structure facing a very long street, so the views are great.

A must go but the experience feels incomplete since you can’t climb them. Bring sunscreen and a hat because it’s hot and please get a tour

One of the most recognizable pyramids in Mexico. A huge, impressive structure that is visible from miles away. It used to be that the tourists were able to climb the restored portion of it, but since covid that privilege has been taken away, and may not be coming back....

This was our second visit yo the pyramids. The ruins and pyramids are very beautiful. My wife and I sit there for hours imagining how great it could have been in its prime. Unfortunately this time we were not permited to climb the pyramids due to some safety rule going on which was disappointing. So call ahead before visiting if not climing the pyramids is a must for you. Still a definite must visit every tine we come to Mexico City.

The second pyramid is equally impressive and is a must see as well. This is a must see and is part of the whole experience of the Teotihuacan pyramids. The tour guides can tell you a lot more than i can, my recommendation is not get a hot air balloon ride, you do have to wake up early for it, but its worth it.

Covid is fake, how ridiculous why not go to upstairs, it does not make sense, but the price was not bad. There are many sellers on the street like the homeless, it was harsh for me, they asked travelers to buy their own items, even if do not need. Por favor, improve

This place is amazing, very unique place in the world. You can feel it as soon as you get there. I didn't hire a guide, I went there by myself and I had a great day just walking, you can see the city from the pyramid of moon and if you try hard you can imagine being there thousands of year ago and feel the amazing energy that this place has. There wasn't ropes when I went there, I read that now they have ropes to make the climb easier. If you are in Mexico city this place is a must to go.

The smaller of the largest pyramids at Teotihuacan, the pyramid of the moon has more complicated lines than the pyramid of the sun.

If in Mexico City, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this fantastic siting. We used local buses instead of tourist companies, much cheaper and safe. Also gives you the opportunity to visit local towns en route or back. When there make sure to visit the museum on site. Amazing exhibition showcasing many artefacts from the sites. We enjoyed a full day there also visiting one of the towns en route there. Highly recommendable.

Marvelous — can’t fathom they are able to build pyramids such as this almost 2,000 years ago.

I wish the pyramids were still open to go to the top, apparently during Covid this was stopped and will not resume because people were damaging the ruins and taking pieces of the stones home. 😢 If you can, plan on spending an entire day in this area.... well worth it. If you are given the opportunity to visit, DON'T sleep on it- GO!!!! I would say if you are elderly, or have difficulty walking, this will be a challenge. Lots of walking, and no way to avoid numerous steps.

Truly one of a kind experience that everyone must do while in the area. It is only about an hour drive from Mexico City proper and less than $100 Uber. Get there early to avoid lines and heat. Also buy water on way in because there is nothing inside.

A truly beautiful piece of history and ancient architecture. This is a classic site that you must visit when in Mexico City. There are incredible features hidden away and it is well worth getting a local guide to show you around and explain the history and fascinating features which truly are a wonder of ancient engineering.

Just visited today very hot take umbrella. You can bring lunch and water to stay hydrated. Tickets were about $80 MXN PESOS. EXTREMELY interesting place. Nobody knows truly which civilization built this citadel. Some old lady that works here told me cool story that she witnessed UFO above join pyramid.

Really interesting. You definitely want to come with a tour guide bc there's little curated info and the place is huuuuge. You can't walk to the top, but it's pretty cool that there have been new active discoveries by archeologists. Also the temple of the moon is way more impressive than the sun. So if you have limited time, do this one Of utmost importance: it is a sun trap. Hats, water, sunscreen, sunglasses. I would have sworn it was 10°F hotter than it was by the thermometer. Also very dusty and dry so you might want a mask for people with lung trouble.
