It is an impressive site. An important point to visit in the Pre-Hispanic City of Teotihuacan. Built, like all Teotihuacan, in the Classic period, the Tepantitla Palace keeps an incredible history within its walls. Among others, Alfonso Caso and Teresa Uriarte have given interpretations about the mural painting and the scenes represented in it. First, Alfonso Caso comes to the conclusion that it is Tlalocan, the paradise of Tlaloc, the underworld where the dead arrived for something that had to do with water or deaths from leprosy. Tlalocan is one of the 4 underworlds in Mexica Mythology. On the other hand, Tere Uriarte in the study she made of this mural finds the possible ways of how the Ball Game could have been played and if not in Teotihuacan, in the sites with which Teotihuacan had contact during its development. Simply a site with a fairly rich and extensive iconography and undoubtedly a wonderful history. It is located near gate 4 of the Archaeological Zone and, although the murals are not complete, it is very worth visiting this Palace.

(Translated by Google) Wonderful place to visit in Teotihuacan, 300 meters from gate 4, once you have seen the great Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon. Murals that, although fragmented, narrate in detail facts and myths of the Teotihuacan civilization. The multi ethnic population is clearly represented, as we can see in the images. So also the various games, including ball games, and even care for the sick. The hydraulic system of Teotihuacan, the only area in its time that was not contiguous with Lake Texcoco. And along with irrigation, cocoa - currency of exchange - and the base of all food in Mesoamerica, Corn! A great representation is "The Sower", who, dressed in a ceremonial costume, throws the seeds with one hand, while praying to his gods to favor his sowing and allow him to achieve the longed-for harvest. The stars drawn under the fields, being their key influence on agricultural production. And in the order of myths, the very interesting concept of the balance between the cosmos and water to achieve harvests: Tlaloc and Quetzalcoatl in the form of two intertwined snakes. With a distance of just 200 meters between the parking site and the palace, it is a visit suitable for older adults. Do not miss it!

There's not much to see unless you have a tour guide. Even then, you get to see the outskirts.

The food is good, the prices are regular, the issue is when you order the cuneta, they add the tip and they don't even tell you the amount. And that's it

Less crowded archaeological area outside the main area of Teotihuacán. A clean place with interesting remains of Teotihuacan mural painting. On Sundays admission is free. During the week you enter with the same ticket as the entrance to Teotihuacán.

A small but extremely interesting place. Walking through it will not take you more than 20 minutes but you will not regret admiring its paintings. On Sunday there is no cost. You must exit through door 4. The compound is outside the zone but is still safe.

(Translated by Google) Outdated museography and poorly maintained areas. The place does not have a perimeter fence and it is easy to go out to the adjacent land, where there are no signs. The artistic value of the site is undeniable, but there are very few elements that allow the visitor to have a great experience.
