We
rolled
into
Thousand
Trails
Lake
of
the
Springs,
and
right
away
we
felt
welcome.
The
staff
were
really
friendly,
and
our
RV
spot
was
pretty
nice.
It
had
a
good
amount
of
space
and
was
surrounded
by
trees,
which
was
cool
because
we
got
some
shade
and
a
bit
of
sunshine
too.
There
was
plenty
to
do
-
we
went
hiking
and
played
volleyball,
and
the
kids
had
a
blast
with
all
the
activities
they
had
lined
up
for
them.
It
was
a
bit
of
a
bummer
that
the
lake
was
closed
because
of
the
drought,
but
the
staff
did
a
good
job
of
making
sure
there
were
other
things
to
do.
That
being
said,
the
place
could
use
a
bit
of
a
spruce-up.
The
landscaping
needs
a
bit
of
work
and
we
had
a
couple
of
times
when
the
power
and
water
were
iffy.
But
all
in
all,
it
wasn't
a
deal-breaker.
The
location
is
great.
It's
peaceful
and
away
from
the
hustle
and
bustle,
but
still
close
enough
to
a
few
restaurants
and
attractions
if
you
want
to
go
out
for
the
day.
So,
yeah,
Thousand
Trails
Lake
of
the
Springs
is
a
pretty
good
spot
for
camping.
There
are
a
few
things
they
could
do
better,
but
we
had
a
good
time.
We're
looking
forward
to
seeing
what
improvements
they
make
next
time
we
visit.
