A hidden gem! I almost don't want to review this place because I want to keep it all to myself ... The price point is very reasonable for such a posh spot. The meat quality is superb. The cocktails are truly spectacular and generously sized. The lights are dim with a sexy ambiance. The service was casually upscale with jovial staff. Do not sleep on this outstanding dining experience!

Has a speakeasy vibe going on. Loved the dimmed lights, the seating, and the decor. It is a really cool location to cook your own food while sipping on some drinks! Got to meet some awesome people by the grill. The service was amazing! The server kept checking in on us and the drink service was fast. My husband loved the place and always requests to go back. Only thing I didn't like was how the music was blasting way too loud no matter where we were standing/sitting. I was literally yelling at my husband's ear to talk. Not enough to deduct a star though cause we loved the place so much!

An exceptional experience that may not be for everyone. I loved the 70s retro vibe. The drinks are off the hook. I even ordered a drink outside the menu (an aviation) and it was spot on. The food was fantastic. You do cook the meat yourself. However, there’s a communal aspect when several are cooking and enjoying the time. Prices of food and cocktails are at a great price point. The service is outstanding and bartenders are top notch. We will be back.

Tried this place last week. It was a great experience. My boyfriend said he had the best steak as he cooked it himself, the way he likes it. The singer was really good and the drinks were amazing. Not a big menu... fyi.

Obsessed! ❤️ Butterscotch Den Restaurant is where you cook your own food the way YOU like it. The ambiance lighting is dimmed like a set from the 60s movies and the vibe is relaxed and romantic where deep conversations and secrets are shared. A different time zone might convey the special thoughts about this place. I’ve been here many times and it thrills me to no end. Staff is knowledgeable, attentive and friendly. Ten stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This dimly lit dream of a bar is the perfect place to go with friends or a date to enjoy a unique, affordable, dining experience. The cool daddy cocktail was truly fantastic. It was a lot of fun grilling my own garlic bread a sirloin steak. For under $30 I got a steak, potato salad, garlic bread and cocktail. On Wednesdays they have a Cabernet with a delightfully small stage. The staff are incredibly helpful and provide great suggestions on how long you should cook your food. Definitely excited to return to this charming bar that harkens back to a smoke filled, candlelit steakhouse with (lacking the smoke of course).

Our new favorite spot in town! Walked there with my wife on a Thursday for the first time, got greeted by Trevor; he’s very nice and fun. Talked to us about the place and the history of it, he apologized for being short staffed and found us a table very fast. The staff is very friendly (despite being under pressure) . The atmosphere is very nice and the vibes are amazing. Food Prices are very reasonable for the portion size and the drinks are very good! Definitely going back and bringing friends with us!

I fell in love with this place immediately! It was beautifully decorated for the holidays, the service staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the cocktails (and mocktails) were delicious! I would definitely recommend and come back here myself.

A really great experience, went for a group dinner and atmosphere with Christmas pop up and seasonal cocktails could not have been better. Great service. Grill your own steak and veggies were good, would be nice to see a few more options for cuts of meat. Or a meat counter to select your own cut. Will 100% be back.

What do you get when you mix a speakeasy vibe with a DIY steakhouse, The Butterscotch Den. What a fun place, filled with great staff, delicious food and amazing drinks. We were greeted the moment we walked in, put our names down for a table and went to the bar for a drink. The interior booth and grill area is set up with tables for eating dinner, and the bar area is mainly for drinks. The food menu is pretty straightforward with you selecting your main and any sides you want, then you go cook it all on the grill. They provide you solid instructions for grilling and everything came out perfect. The drinks were fantastic and they were able to make a few custom ones too. The service was amazing, with friendly and tentative staff throughout. They really nailed the speakeasy vibe too, with low, dim lights, booths and overall decor. Will be coming back for different occasions in the future!

A hidden gem in Sac! Once you walk through the door it feels like you stepped back into old Hollywood. We absolutely love this place! It was our first time and everything was great! The staff are all SO friendly and welcoming! The food was SO reasonably priced and drinks, as well. The music choices, both live and playing overhead, are choice picks. We loved being the added aspect of grilling your own meat. We will be making this a regular date night spot for sure!

Great service! It's giving disco energy and the drinks are delicious. Fun DIY food concept which offers an accessible price point when you want to have a dinner & cocktails kind of night. Looking forward to going again!

Great place to go to and experience a different way to eat and drink! Be aware of the level noise.

Great reworking of Arthur Henry's with great service. Cocktail selection is on point. We ordered and cooked our own steaks, some ribeyes. The grill was a bit hotter for the recommended cook times, but our steaks turned out charred and tasty! Will definitely return.

I want to love this place but just can't. The idea and part of the concept is great. But it's just a little odd. It said gourmet food on one of their advertisements but they didn't mention YOU have to cook it. 🤦 So don't dress up too nice. It's an open grill/BBQ and you WILL smell like cooking when you leave. Also, steak might be gourmet but burgers aren't. At least not in my opinion. Suggestion, dump the grill and just be a bar/lounge, or hire a chef and cook the food. Just my 2 cents. Drinks were amazing though.

Best hot butter rum ever!!! It's quite a different place. A couple of things that was a little off putting: first was butter scotch den is not on a sign or door at all. We had passed it up twice because the door says Miracle room or something to that affect. The other thing the drinks are limited to what's on the menu. We didn't eat food when I go out I'm not trying to cook my on food. I don't knock the concept though. The service was great bartenders and hostess was all super cool people. The drinks are awesome which helps with shaking things up a bit. I still think they should keep a hot butterscotch drink on the menu.
