My son (Biggie) has been training with coach Mike for almost 3years and the works speaks for itself Playmakers Elite is and will always be family. My son is a totally different player/kid teaching discipline and consistency and holding kids accountable for there actions the famous words of mike “didn’t make it got another one” is the kids worst thing to hear or “we outside” but the motivation in the gym is unmatched and the vibe is always welcoming we appreciate you coach and all you do for the kids and the community.

Started my Son Jaylan training with Mike Johnson at Playmakers Elite this school year right after football season ended and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. My Son is an accomplished football and track athlete as well as a gym rat not afraid of working hard and Mike challenges him and pushes him out of his comfort zone which is great. Fully equipped gym with ample room for doing speed and agility drills as well as strength training. Mike pushes the kids in a good way and is passionate about his craft of helping athletes be the best versions of themselves. There has been times during weekend trainings that NFL athletes are present and Mike has a great roster of accomplished NFL and D1 football players he has trained along with some great high school talent. My son has been playing football for years. He started at the age of 6 and just turned 11 this year. I decided to put in him into training this year to see if it would help him gain more confidence both on and off the field. I can honestly say that he has improved so much. He has been training with Mike for 8 months and we ( his coaches, teammates, Mike, and his aunts and uncles) have noticed how much he has improved during this time. He is now faster, stronger, more confident, and excited about playing football. Seeing his play this year was like watching a different child because of how his confidence impacted his ability on the field. It was exciting and I am so proud of the work he is putting in. This is all thanks to Mike. The more he improves under the training of Mike, the more excited he gets about playing football. Currently he is training with high school students and he loves it. I cannot thank Mike enough for the work he has done for my son. He pushes these athletes to be the best they can be and I love this for them. I highly recommend him as a trainer. Whether a youth athlete, high school, college, professional or simply an older person maintaining mobility, Mike has a pulse on each person's unique needs and goals. He is able to custom design your workouts, building reps upon each other to help you gradually and incrementally meet your goals and improve your fitness. Unlike most gyms and training centers, Playmakers Elite is a community of supportive people, all working towards individual goals while supporting each in their own process. Great facility! Great coach! Good vibes in the gym! Community outreach! My 4 kids and I are pretty new to Playmakers Elite, but in the short time training with Coach Mike, my kid's athletic performance in football and wrestling already improved. Love the positive vibe throughout the gym and tailored workouts. Coach Mike's Sunday morning football school has been a blast for my boys. The community outreach is amazing. The events, like Sac State football games, have been so much fun and inspiring for the kids. Serving the homeless service project is really cool, too. Playmakers Elite is a no frills, get it done kinda gym. Just the way I like it. Whether your young or old, fit or fluffy, student athlete, professional athlete, or even a 40 somethin mom of 6 like me, Coach Mike has got you covered. He is so in tune with every single client, he knows right what you need just when you need it. He pushes your limits and does it in a supportive but solid way. Every workout is a new workout and for me personally that’s key. No time to get bored or unmotivated. I’ve had 3 surgeries on my neck and back over the past 18 months and I’m finally healthy enough to get back at it. I feel safe and confident under Mike’s professional eye, as I rehab my way back to the best me.

Mike embodies elite as a trainer, coach, mentor and friend to anyone that steps into his gym.
