this
hotel
through
Relais
and
Chateaux
network,
known
for
fine
cuisine
and
luxe
accommodations
-
it
did
not
disappoint
with
old
school
Mexican
hacienda
charm
(other
reviewers
mentioning
updates
miss
this
concept).
The
hotel
rooms
are
large
with
classic
furniture,
wood
burning
fireplaces,
ample
terraces
and
beautiful
bathrooms.
The
grounds
are
incredible
-
white
and
azure
peacocks,
flamingos
and
tortoises
roaming
green
rolling
hills.
The
pool
is
nicely
heated,
stunning
and
not
crowded.
The
spa
is
decadent,
relaxing,
excellent
therapists
and
peaceful.
The
restaurant
is
very
good,
but
not
excellent.
The
waiters
are
kind,
but
need
to
be
more
attentive
(training?).
The
food
is
well
prepared,
but
menu
needs
updating
to
reflect
current
eating
trends
(sides,
seasoning
,
diet
preferences).
In
addition,
service
at
the
pool
needs
to
be
more
frequent.
Drinks
are
delicious.
If
you
are
looking
to
truly
escape
CDMX
or
travel
to
a
luxe
destination
and
utterly
relax
this
is
your
place.
