All I can say is Lara was THE BEST wedding planning decision we made. She took our vision and made it a reality and provided so much guidance along the way. If we weren’t sure about a decision she gave us the prefect recommendations and made the whole process completely stress free. We had 3 nights of wedding events for 55 people and each one was better than the next. It was beautiful, seamless, and pure magic. There was no way we could have done it without her- which I cannot emphasize enough. We started planning in 2021 and due to COVID backlogs got married in August 2023. So, we had many calls and emails with Lara and have loved working with her and getting to know her. She went above and beyond for us and helped us plan trips in Italy before and after our wedding. I honestly cannot say enough good things- our wedding was perfect and Lara is the kindest planner you could ask for.

Ilaria and Glam Events were an absolute dream to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. From our very first call Ilaria was enthusiastic and warm, and we felt as though we could be open and honest with her. She went above and beyond to ensure that our (everchanging) vision came to life! We had so many ideas and she was always receptive and helpful with her feedback. We had such a fun time collaborating on design with her. Her attention to detail is fantastic, her communication was always quick, and her ability to manage the project was extremely professional. She always made time for us, whether it was monthly Zoom calls to discuss logistics or a pre-wedding trip to Italy to visit the venue and vendors. People always say that something will go wrong on your wedding day so you should just roll with the punches, but we can honestly say there were no surprises and that is because no stone was left unturned, and every detail was thought out. It’s now two months later, and our guests still talk about how amazing the weekend was and how it was likely the best wedding they had and ever will be to (we may be biased, but we have to agree!). My goodness, where do I even begin? We worked with Lara from Glam Events and it was hands down the best decision we made. Finding a planner, let alone a destination wedding planner can be overwhelming and stressful because you don’t know where to begin and what you’re even looking for, but it’s probably one of the biggest decisions you will have to make for planning such a huge event. I researched far and wide and interviewed around 10 planners from small to big companies and decided to go with Glam Events because from the minute I got on a video call with Lara, I felt at ease and she had an incredible ability to empathize and understand exactly what I was trying to communicate. If you’re looking for a planner, just schedule a consultation and I swear you won’t need to look anywhere else. For me, it just came down to feeling a deep sense of trust that Lara could execute everything I dreamed for my wedding. And let me tell you, she did just that and beyond. From the very beginning of planning when scheduling site visits, make up trials, food tastings etc…she was able to organize in such short notice (when we decided to visit last minute) and make sure we were able to do everything we needed in a short couple of days. She is so professional, positive, quick to respond, and incredibly organized. And the crazy part is that she was able to do everything in a way that doesn’t stress you out nor make you become a bridezilla. Everything felt so seamless and honestly fun! She shared her opinions (she has incredible taste btw) and years of knowledge working in the industry, but she also gave me the autonomy to curate what I envisioned and was always open to my personal takes and made sure my desires were heard and achieved. She knows the best vendors in Italy and we could not be happier with everyone we worked with. All of the guests were swooning over every detail, the food, the music, the flowers etc…We are New Yorkers and our working style compared to that of the ~dolce vita~ style of Italians can look very different from what we’re used to. So our main concern was that on the day of the event, we would fall back in schedule or things may fall through the cracks because vendors may be too relaxed, but no, it was absolutely perfect and we didn’t even have to think about timing because Lara was so on top of it and it felt so natural and seamless. What’s more, she helped us plan 2 other days— our rehearsal dinner and catholic ceremony/welcome party. Both events were incredible and such bangers, all our guests were so impressed and excited—it set the tone for the wedding day. Let me just add one more thing. The catholic ceremony on the day of the welcome party was requested by my MIL pretty last minute, and it was a lot of paperwork and logistics that Lara had to help us figure out and she did it so graciously and so well. We’re so thankful she was there to help us through it all. All of the behind the scenes work that Lara did on our big day did not go unnoticed. Her job is hard, but she makes it seem so easy and she always has a huge smile on her face while doing it. Words can’t describe how happy we are that we were able to work with her and create one of the most important memories of our lives together. Beyond our professional relationship, she has become a good friend and if all of this sounds like what you want for your big day, seriously you don’t need to look for other planners.

We had an amazing experience working with Lara and Glam Events! In 2019, Lara planned a very thoughtful trip when we visited Tuscany and took us to a variety of venues. We had planned to get married in May 2020 but unfortunately had to delay for two years. I'm struggling to find the right words to explain how incredibly amazing Ilaria and Glam Events are! For context, my husband and I started our wedding planning journey in June of 2019. We are based in New York City but dreamed of a destination wedding in Tuscany. From the start we knew Ilaria was going to be the perfect fit for us (not even exaggerating after every FaceTime, my husband and I would be visibly more relaxed). We reached out to dozens of planners but when we spoke with Ilaria we immediately knew we were in the best hands. Every email was answered quickly and efficiently without hesitation (and I sent a LOT of emails!). We made our first "Planning Trip" with my parents in October 2019. Ilaria planned a whole itinerary for us that never felt rushed or stressful. We visited 4 stunning venues, had food tastings, hair and makeup consultations, spoke about flowers, decor, etc. All within a 3 day timeframe. Ilaria curated the best of every vendor in the region while also being mindful of our budget. Of course shortly after, COVID hit and we took a long break from planning and had to seriously reconsider our wedding. All throughout the pandemic Ilaria kept in touch as a friend reassuring us that our day would come. We needed to make some big changed to our original plan and Ilaria convinced us it would still be the day of our dreams. She re-planned the entire event with ease never making us feel stressed. We went from a 50 - 75 person wedding down to 17 and both felt equally as special due to the impeccable planning. We then made our next planning trip in September 2020 to finish the planning. It was so exciting going back to our venue and seeing Ilaria again felt like seeing a friend after years apart! We had another hair and makeup trial, tasting, event coordination, all in the comfort of our venue. She even helped recommend a restaurant close by for dinner! We left Italy so excited for our day to finally be here. As we got closer to the wedding we planned various events surrounding the wedding day. For our wine tour, Ilaria curated a very special, intimate, day with authentic, secluded, vineyards that had stunning views, delicious wine, and a memorable homemade lunch experience. She put together special welcome bags for our guests, planned a welcome wine tasting, and found us a rooftop overlooking Siena's Piazza del Campo. It was the perfect welcome for our guests. Ilaria consistently went above and beyond not only for us and our event but for our guests too. Any need was catered to (seriously, my sister broke a nail and Ilaria had an appointment booked for her in minutes!). THE WEDDING DAY. WOW. Although we planned every second of this day with Ilaria, it completely blew us away and exceeded all expectations. She made sure every moment ran perfectly, I can't say a single thing went wrong. Our ceremony was held under a shady tree and everyone felt comfortable (and being comfortable in 85 degree weather in a tux isn't easy to pull off!). Every moment of the ceremony was perfection from the flowers lining the aisle, officiant, violinist all provided by Ilaria. We moved from ceremony to appertivo to dinner and finally dancing with ease. Even though we only had 17 people it felt like it was 100! I could really go on forever about Ilaria and Glam Events. Ilaria has truly become a friend of ours through this process and we felt so comfortable and secure every step of the way (Not easy to do for a COVID bride, but Ilaria did it!). If you're even considering booking with Glam Events DO IT! We are so lucky to have found Ilaria and are so grateful for her support through every step of the wedding planning process. I must start this review by saying that Ilaria and Lara are hands down THE BEST wedding planning team you will find, in Italy and beyond. My husband and I had the most magical wedding, entirely thanks to the talent and experience of Ilaria and Lara. If you are looking to plan a destination wedding in Europe these women have my highest recommendation. We live in D.C., so we knew that finding a fantastic wedding planner to handle the planning and logistics of our Tuscan wedding was going to be crucial. We found Ilaria through our photographer, Facibeni Fotografia’s website. He had shot many of Ilaria’s weddings, and I found the design of each to be so beautiful and unique. From our first Skype call, we knew that Ilaria would be perfectly suited to our personalities and had every confidence that she would do a wonderful job planning our wedding weekend. Throughout the planning process, Ilaria was extremely responsive, organized, creative, positive, and just an absolute joy to work with. She quickly answered every one of my countless emails with enthusiasm, and I was always reassured that she had every detail of our weekend covered. Ilaria presented us with a selection of the most high-end, highly regarded vendors, and I’m so glad that we went with all of her recommendations, because every single one of our vendors provided us with perfection. I cannot even begin to put into words how fortunate we were to come across Glam Events and have them plan our Tuscan wedding weekend of events -- they are the absolute best! From our very first video call with Ilaria (we are from Boston), we immediately felt at ease and that she was a perfect fit for us! Our wedding was originally scheduled for September 2020 but the pandemic had other plans and we ended up postponing not once but twice, and finally had our wedding a year after our original date in September 2021. While this could have been a very stressful experience, Ilaria continuously reassured us, provided updates and was incredibly flexible and willing to work with us and vendors to continue to plan the wedding we always envisioned. She made the entire planning process so pleasant and we looked forward to every call we had with her -- now that our wedding is over we genuinely miss getting to speak with her regularly after almost 2 years of calls! From the very beginning (and through both postponed dates) she was able to secure our dream venue and provided us with wonderful curated lists of vendors and options for all of our wedding needs. She worked with all these vendors on our behalf continuously to help arrange plans and bring our visions to life. I cannot stress enough how great it was to work with her over 2 years of distance planning! Even in our most stressful last month of preparations we genuinely felt more at ease after every conversation with her. What can I say about our actual wedding weekend other than that it was absolute perfection. We were fortunate enough to work not only with Ilaria but also with Lara during the week of our wedding lead up + throughout the whole weekend, they were both fantastic! They were amazing coordinating all our events from the wine tastings + welcome dinner the night prior, through the actual wedding day and also on the day after for our pool party. Everything went exactly according to plan and there were no major hiccups or issues, they took absolutely all the planning stress out of our wedding weekend! Not to mention that the events were beautiful and executed even better than we could have ever imagined. ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! We couldn't be happier how our wedding turned out and it would not have been possible without the help of Lara and Glam Events! We live in Hong Kong and got married in Tuscany. We did some groundwork and made an advance trip to Italy (approx 7 months before the wedding) to scout for venues and catering for tasting, two of our top priorities on our list. With venue and catering checked off, we started to look for wedding planners online back in Hong Kong. I still remember very clearly the very first conversation I had with Lara over a long distance call, I was completely sold by her positive attitude and how comfortable it was to have an initial conversation with her. She made me felt so secure when we only had 6 months to plan the wedding remotely from another country. We immediately knew she was the right planner for us.
