I was here for 3 days on a business trip in November, and I really enjoyed my stay. The staff were all very friendly and the environment was simply stunning. The rooms were just what I wanted, and I spent my evenings working on the balcony with a beautiful view of the sea. A lot of my time was spent in the conference room, but I got to enjoy the gym, bar and restaurant areas of the hotel too. Walking out from the hotel towards the beach is a promenade and restaurants. Outside the front of the hotel, you're just a short 5 minute walk from further restaurants and supermarkets. The only small issue I had when leaving, is that someone had charged some drinks from the bar to my room (about 50 Euros of wine and beer). I'm assuming they gave the wrong room number by mistake, but this wasn't checked by the bar staff. The concierge removed the charges without any fuss, but I almost paid them, assuming it was some other room fee. I would definitely return again, and I highly recommend it.

When you pay just under 20 euros for 3 hours of parking in an empty parking lot to enjoy one of their restaursnts you do wonder if the person who established the prices added an extra 0 on the €/minute timer....never again....

This hotel has zero passion for service to their customers. A great looking Hotel with an expensive and poorly run parking policy. Expensive, however the guards at the gate often let people through for free. I heard it happening while waiting for a taxi. The ticket payment machine doesn’t give receipts you have to queue at the reception which is often crowded. Why don’t you fix the parking machine… when people pay €14 for two hours you can afford to fix the machine or have more staff on reception to handle this. Try to help your customers, think about the experience from their perspective.

Only had the lobby bar. Was warm and comfortable. But the air freshener they use. Old peoples perfume smell like talc. Awful. And you can't get away from it. It's everywhere especially near the bar

This hotel is a complete scam! They are thiefs! Charging us 750 euro and we aren't even sleeping there. Just tried to book 5 min ago because we lost our Keys from the house. Not needed anymore, so we canceled it only a few minutes later and know they charge us 750 euro's. This hotel is completely stick!

Property location is excellent. The property is along the promenade which leads you to Old town. However, if you are walking with children in a stroller or wheelchair or you require assistance in walking, this property is not wheel chair friendly to access the beach front as you have to walk many steep steps to the beach and promenade. Breakfast buffet: I would rate just okay. For a 5 star hotel, I expected the buffet to have more selections. All they had was cold cuts, fruits, cereal, lots of bread, omelette station, English breakfast. Breakfast buffet was the same everyday. Also, if you considered upgrading to the red level lounge, I would not recommend. The snacks are the same everyday. After seeing another guest review mentioning the same items of snacks, I realized the hotel never changed it since at least back in June 2020. Rooms: clean for the most part. The rooms do need a renovation. The building itself is built in 1960’s. The elevators are tiny and there are only 3 for the whole hotel so you are having to wait ages for the lift. My room had fire ant infestation. I had red inflamed ant bites all over my body! When I told the guest service, they send housekeeping to clean the floors as she said the ants come out due to food being left in the room. Housekeeping cleaned the floor and sprayed toxic ant repellent, which did nothing. Tons of ants still remained crawling on our floor.

We stayed there this past week . We had lovely adjoining rooms overlooking the sea. The restaurants on site were delicious. I think there are six of them . The drinks great pours and other cocktails. The boardwalk is fun to walk down and very safe .

Pay $1,200 usd per night and the AC didn’t work! They send me electronic fan to cool off the room! Absolutely ridiculous

We have stayed at the Don Pepe Marbella several times now and have recently returned from our most recent visit. Again the service levels provided to us both by all of the staff during our stay was again quite exceptional throughout. The hotel facilities are just perfect especially the stunning gardens, indoor pool (January) and facilities as well as the superb location and the amazing breakfast. The highest standards and attention to detail are always provided by Noelia and the team at the Don Pepe from our arrival until we leave. Really looking forward to our next visit already. Thank you Don Pepe again, see you in June. 😎

We had the best time here - a group of friends. Definitely get the Red Level to use the lounge and beautiful terrace with drinks and snacks. Amazing breakfast, great location, staff were lovely.

As a member of the "Melia"-hotels-group I'm very happy with this hotel. Located direct at the boulevard; walking distance from the center of Marbella-old-town.

A small piece of paradise in Costa del Sol. Close to the boardwalk, with 2 amazing restaurants and a beautiful atmosphere for vacations

The room could have been bigger for that cost but otherwise ok. Service was little bit odd first 5 days, then there was staff change and it got better. Pool and cabanas were very good, service not so much. Loved the possibility to play tennis.

I stayed at the Melia don Pepe recently and had a fantastic experience. The staff were fantastic they couldn't do enough for us. The service and drinks by the pool were great. We really enjoyed the food at the restaurant and had a fantastic paella. We booked a red level club room which had drinks and snacks all day. It was really worth the money. the room was very clean and lovely. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and look forward to returning soon. Would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Marbella.

Amazing hotel and fantastic service. The breakfast buffet is exceptional. Fresh fruit, fresh food stations for eggs and waffles, everything is prepared at the moment. The pool is very nice and the pool service is perfect. Everyone working at this hotel is extremely professional. We can’t wait to go back.

This hotel rates itself as 5 star. From our experience in April of this year it would be hard pushed to make 4. Their inability to cook the food as requested on more than one occasion was unbelievable. The fact that they were unable once to seat us where we had requested and booked with a sea view and also the fact they were unable to get the billing as we asked are examples. Then on the last night at approximately 8pm a woman and child were able to enter our room even though the door was shut. On the following morning which was our departure we settled our account at Reception and told them of the incident the previous night. They took our email and phone number to report to us after an investigation, and also to email us a detailed copy of our account. None of this happened until we did their on-line review. That same day the Hotel Manager rang us apologising for the fact we had no copy of our account sent. He also asked us to take down our review. He implied we must have left our door open and that the billing was correct. Neither of these facts turned out to be true. On the 29th May we finally received our account and copies of the receipts, with only one having my signature. The hotel's response to the various issues was abysmal. We would certainly never go back or recommend this hotel.

What an incredible experience yet again at the Don Pepe. My family and I have been coming to this hotel for nearly a decade and each time we think our stay can't be bettered, it can! Abel and his team are fantastic looking after us in such a caring and thoughtful way (we think of seeing them now as you would friends). The hotel looked glorious after a few cosmetic changes since last year and the gym has been upgraded too and that is fab. The various restaurants are also fab if you don't want to go too far from the hotel (and why would you?!) - Capucchino and Tahini in particular with the beautiful views of the sea. If your budget stretches I would definitely treat yourself to the Red Level - over the course of a holiday it really does pay for itself with the food and drink you receive. Special shout out to Dani in the Kids Club too who kept my 6 year old son entertained and happy and therefore allowed this mummy a holiday too! We'll see you next year Don Pepe!

Wonderful service and very stylish hotel. My sister and I had a great holiday to celebrate her birthday. The staff were really lovely and attentive, especially Isabel who was one of the guest services host. We felt very welcomed and special. There are so many fond memories! And the location was great, right by the beach and easy walking distance to restaurants and bars. A great hotel indeed!

From the moment we arrived at the Don Pepe, we received impeccable service. Nothing is too much for Abel and his team. Great location with calming views. Lovely, well looked after pool area. Good choice of restaurants serving delicious food. Their own brand Olive Oil - amazing, 'Liquid Gold' they called it. Luxury rooms, spacious attractive communal areas and facilities and the ‘Red Level’ is a touch extra special. And to finish off your day, with a night cap and listen to excellent singers. We've been here before and we. We love it!

I had an exceptional experience at this hotel! The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. From the warm welcome to the impeccable room service, every detail was carefully attended to. The facilities were top-notch, and the personalized service made us feel truly valued. Our stay was nothing short of delightful, and I can't recommend this hotel enough. Five stars well-deserved! Yazan.

Beautiful property with a great staff. Great on-site amenities and restaurants. Also conveniently located so it is walkable to the old town. Rooms are clean but show their age in certain spots.

My family and I have been lucky enough to have stayed in the majority of 5 star hotels in and around Marbella. Recently we have been returning to GM Don Pepe because of its fantastic location, excellent restaurants, and most importantly, superb service. The staff are very welcoming and cannot do enough for you. Highly recommended.

Highly recommend this hotel. We’ve stayed at a few different hotels around Marbella and this is by far the best. You won’t be disappointed, the pool area is great, cocktails and food fantastic and wonderful service. I love the decor in the rooms and flowers around the hotel were lovely. Isabel, guest relations was great and so was Elena at breakfast. We will be returning!

My review is based on only visiting for a meeting. The staff is super acommodating and attentive. Location and views amazing. The big turndown for me is the horrible automated ( I guess) air fregnance in the lobby/bar/ restaurant area. Not only does it smell bad, but it is very harmfull to your body. The toxins from these fumes are someting you don’t want in your body. Especially People with allergies/asthma stay away.

Clean and comfortable, great location for Passeo access, excellent breakfast and lounges. Grounds used for events but noise wraps up before bedtime. Sea views are spectacular. Tiny elevators, feels a bit dated, key card problems.

Rooms are small and not soundproofed and are very noisy. The sofa beds are very old and dated and impossible to sleep on. Breakfast room is like a canteen and selection not great

Best 5-star hotel we have been to in a long time. We recommend to also book the Red Level Lounge service in order to be really pampered. While the food variety at breakfasts and in the lounge lags behind, we were thrilled by the friendliness, servicemindedness and hearty approach of all levels of personnel. Especially the service desk at the Red Lounge is to be noted for its professionalism and supportive client orientation.

Great atmosphere, and very polite personnel. A hotel that makes you feel like home. The Cappuccino coffee at the bar of the hotel is highly recommended. Maybe the best I ever had!

I cannot recommend enough this place for a short break or family holiday. All was done to make you relaxing. Cleanliness of the room and public areas was always perfect, not disturbed by the noise at any time, breakfast choice at Veranda and The Level could suit for any dietary requirement with large option. Warm welcome from Irene at The Level reception on arrival, being welcomed with the smile of Angela at breakfast and around in the lobby during the day, nice service from Lucia, Marta and Laura. Alessandra at Erre restaurant on the evening was attentive to guests. Alejandro the Guest Experience Manager was always everywhere and ensuring your well-being, without forgetting the 2 directors Rocio and Noelia who were also so welcoming and caring about my stay. Would come back 100% with no doubt!

Just stunning customer service. Every member of staff couldnt do enough, we were offered a glass of fizz on arrival amid the fresh flowers, and the only place i can compare this level of customer service is the Ritz, London. Suberb. We were on red level and there were snacks, drinks and work space as we were having a few meetings. Breakfast was fresh, delicious, and the fresh made omelettes are to die for. That along with fizz and cakes delivered to our room from the management was the sort of experience anyone would love.

“Outstanding Service” Just arrived home from another return visit to the Gran Meliá Don Pepe Hotel. My husband and I had an amazing time and we left feeling relaxed and happy so much so we are already planning to return next year, for longer and more frequent visits. The Don Pepe is such a beautiful hotel, a truly magical place to stay. Beautiful grounds and interiors with outstanding staff and customer service that’s what makes this hotel truly 5 stars all the way. We have written many reviews for this hotel and will carry on spreading the word as this place truly deserves to be recognised as one of the best. It is exceptional, so much so that we return time and time again, we are already planning our next visit with the whole family to celebrate a big birthday. The hotel is perfectly located on the sea front and you can easily walk to the old town which is approximately 15-20 min away. A warm welcome awaits at the Red Level check in all the way through to the great service given by all the staff including pool Concerge and housekeeping. The rooms are amazing with direct views overlooking the Med and as you would expect from a 5 star hotel a beautiful selection of toiletries, coffee and tea facilities, fresh water twice daily, fresh flowers, robes, slippers in-fact the list of extras is endless. Breakfast delicious, eaten indoors or out in the main restaurant or in the Red Level and a huge choice of restaurants within minutes walk from hotel. The hotel has 4 great restaurants within the grounds so you certainly won’t be struggling for choice. We really have to mention and thank Abel who as usual went above and beyond to make our stay so perfect, another unforgettable holiday!!! Looking forwards to our return visit shortly.

Have been coming here for many years and have always experienced a warm welcome. The staff are amazing from Enrique on reception and the bell boy to Emilio who serves breakfast. The girls on red level are so professional, to Raf and his colleague who keep the pool area and sun beds so clean. To Abel who is now back and very helpful and most of all the Manager Noelia who is very professional and makes sure you enjoy every minute at the Don Pepe. They are like family now. The breakfast is really nice and there are nice restaurants in the hotel. The gardens are immaculate. The position is great to walk along the promenade into Marbella

Always have the feeling like coming home! We know this place for years! The staff is amazing, from the moment you arrive you are getting spoiled. Checking in at the red level lounge, offered a sparkling wine. Seeing back the staff, Patricia Sanchez, Abel Lopez. They put all their effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. You feel the relaxation coming over you. The food in Erre is so nice! So delicious, good quality and all fresh! If you want to have a short lunch, the bar is also recommended. The staff here is also so friendly. It’s an overall great place for an escape to the sun and enjoy the service of the hotel!
