A good public beach, if you sunbathe between the place where the boat parking ends and the place where the public beach begins, for example, opposite the blue&white house - then you will lie in privacy, almost)) Also we swam not on the public beach itself inside the fenced-off territory, but to the left of it. It's very cool to swim there with a mask because there are corals with fish near the shore and there is a place where starfishes live. Water is calm, during 3 weeks there were waves maybe 2 times when the weather was windy. P.S. A fruit cart is passing along the beach - do not buy there, they sell 2 times more expensive than in a fruit shop in the town, it's better to take fruits with you) P.P.S. Don't lift the starfishes above the water for longer than 5 seconds, they may die from this as they inhale too much oxygen on land. By the way, in the Dominicana it's forbidden by law to lift starfishes out of the water, that's why I took the photo very quickly and carefully😅

This is a disgusting beach filled aggressive men begging or demanding money. It is littered with trash from the local people. This end of the beach has huge boulders both above and under the water. I broke my toe trying to enter the water. We were told we couldn't leave before 4 pm or it would cost us 70.00 each to get a ride back to the cruise terminal. We were told how many bottles of water we were going to buy. Our taxi driver even took pictures of our group before we were allowed to leave his van. It was an awful experience.

Nice beach, i came to this beach when I stood at the Romana Dreams Resort. Water is pretty clear and locals seem to not get in your way. They have a few little shops that sell some souvenirs so I purchased a few to take back home.

Beautiful crystal clear waters! Friendly people and very good restaurants. Perfect for kids and family since the water is nice and calm. You can go in deep and the water will only go waiste deep.

The beach and the sea are very beautiful, but when the sea is wavy, the water becomes cloudy, everything is very good outside. Also, the Hilton hotel has closed a part of the beach for use, which is ridiculous. Nothing like it anywhere else in Dominica

I walked from the hotel to the public beach to watch the subset. It is safe. You can go by car if you want. There is a parking lot there. It was a little cloudy, but pretty! There are few restaurants openned to have dinner. Also there was few small "stores" that you can buy souvenir from Dominican Republic. The public beach is besides the Hilton hotel.

Nice public beach area with gift shop vendors and restaurants. We found a spot to enjoy a massage and even a manicure!

Nice chill beach. Not strict like other beaches. You see the locals playing dominoes and bringing their speakers. We brought our own speakers and rum to relax at the beach. They are staff from the restaurant who can rent you a chair for 200 pesos. IG: love_to_exist

Double charged my family and I for drinks. We paid our tab before leaving then told our other family members there was a $60 balance. Plus all the locals there are pushing everything on you. Back off and let the vacationers enjoy their time.

👍 It’s a beautiful beach, the only downside for us was they are making people pay ridiculous prices just to sit under an umbrella and it’s not so big being stuck between the resorts. We walked as we were staying just around the corner but driving would have probably been fine as there seemed to be a l...

👍 This place is hard to access by small car 🚗 as it is for 5 ⭐️ resorts only and the public beach 🏝 road is horrible, trashed and scary. Googlemaps road to the beach is outdated. The beach is beautiful and runs deep quickly. Not good for snorkeling 🤿 and beware of the rocks in the soft sand...
