Total disappointment! Since I arrived with my family I did not feel well taken care of or welcomed, the waiter was quite rude and I felt that it is a restaurant where you are not well seen if you do not go on etiquette. The food was terrible with a meat that was offered as soft and on the contrary was hard and chewy. The taste of pure black pepper with garlic powder. We ordered a ceviche and it wasn't ready until the third time we ordered it, it was served. I ordered a rice pudding and it was brought 20 minutes later because they had to heat it without asking if we preferred it cold since it is a dessert. Finally, the tip of 5,000.00 colones was included and I decided not to leave extra on the table because I didn't like the waiter's attention. Well, he looked at the table and when he realized that I didn't leave an extra tip, he made a comment to the receptionist. In the end he crossed paths with my mother and me and simply ignored us. It's nothing for me to pay $103.00 at this restaurant and my clothing doesn't determine me! The only thing I rescue from this restaurant is the landscape, but obviously it is a restaurant that discriminates against customers and provides horrible service and very low quality food to those who they imagine are not high-class tourists or Costa Ricans. Learn how to treat customers equally!!!!!! 👎

Beautiful views, nice decor inside and that’s about it. Best seating with a view is only for couples. I found it very discriminating. So families with kids can’t enjoy views? What a strange rule. We ordered Sangria and it tasted like water. Salmon had no flavor at all. They made us wash hands and briefed us about their mask policy. We appreciated that. However our server couldn’t keep his nose covered properly. To be fair, service was good but not the food. All in all, I would only recommend this place just once in the night time to check out the view of San Jose valley. Otherwise I won’t recommend this place

The ambiance was great, the food was amazing. The papas bravas were so good. Steaks were cooked perfectly and the potato and veggie sides paired perfectly. I was a little disappointed with how small the flower pot dessert was, next time I’d try something different. Coffee was great! Staff was incredible!

I am from Costa Rica and had not been here in years. The place has changed a lot. This is a place to go for a very nice meal with a view and sometimes a show. On our most recent trip, the family ate here one not and everything was absolutely delicious. We ordered the bbq for 2 to share. The picadillo de papa was great but the flambéed plantain with ice cream was AMAZING! I would go back just for that. It is a little pricey but worth the money. Food, service and atmosphere were all exquisite. If you can make it up the mountain here, it will not disappoint.

When I went the food was great even though I only had the basic rice and beans, the servers were all polite, they showed us amazing cultural dances with exquisite music and the view over San Jose was the peak of the whole experience.

Loved the place and the food was delicious! We had a great server and they accommodated our requests without any hesitation. Truly wonderful customer service. We ate at the little Casita they have outside the restaurant and it was very romantic, a cute little space that made our date even more special. The decorations are spectacular, so eclectic and whimsical, I loved it! Will definitely return!

We just stopped for a look and a drink and we enjoyed every second of it! Wish we would have time to try the food. Feels like the time has stopped at this magicly restored place. I would describe the dress code as "fine dining".

Lovely place, specially decor. The view was great. They had a bonfire. However due to Costa Rica law, they didn't allow to smoke cigars or cigarettes, even though there was a ton of smoke form the fire. You can't walk to the bar to ask for drinks, it has to be done thru a waiter.

Javier and Jorge were simply amazing, fun, helpful and knowledgeable, the place had an awesome atmosphere and there were typical dance marimba show, great food and pretty fast serving.

The traditional place to visit in Costa Rica, mainly because the views, are amazing! The place has a lot of history and is well-kept, nice and clean. Some items on the menu like the rice with shrimp, salmon and ceviche of hearts of palm with pejibayes was good. The meat a big disappointment, but I have to say that the server was amazing always trying to make sure everything is perfect.

When visiting Costa Rica you must visit this place. It has a great ambiance, good food and awesome drinks. Perfect place for a romantic evening or to celebrate a special occasion. The service given by the staff is top notch.

Amazing view and ambience! The food was delicious, but portions are small for Costa Rica, we had the Pina colada in a pineapple which was delicious!

It took an hour to get to the restaurant up in the hills from San Jose but was worth it. The view alone was amazing, you can see all of San Jose at night. The service was impressive and the menu is substantial and very good. It would be good for a romantic dinner but you need to reserve a table by the windows.

Nice view. All four of our $35 steaks were as tough as my belt. Extremely hard to saw through with serrated edge steak knives. 250 gram steaks were roughly 50% fat and gristle. The Dining Room Manager came by out table and told us we were cutting them wrong. I recommend Mirador Tiquicia. Same vistas and MUCH BETTER FOOD, at more reasonable prices.

What a place to enjoy the best view of San Jose and the food was also great. After or before your meal you can enjoy relaxing outside over the mountains and city views

I've heard of this resteraunt from a friend, when he came for a visit, we went with Dates. This place was NOT s disappointment. The food was great, the atmosphere is romantic, the service is the best you'll get in Costa Rica, I know that's not saying much and a bad comparison but this place some of the best service I EVER had in CR. The view from the back Garden are is breathtaking view of San Jose Central valley. The company was great. (Yeah I know, they didn't have anything to do with my company, but the 5star of this place really help set the night.) Pura Vida.

This is a FANTASTIC restaurant. Definitely more of a upscale dinner for special occasions. All things considered it is still reasonably priced. Some nights they have live entertainment, but regardless the view and ambiance make the whole experience worth while. Service and food were excellent as to be expected.

Located far south of San Jose, Costa Rica and at 12,000 ft from sea level, the place is a well known tourist destination. You've got to enjoy aunthentic local food and experience local talents as dancing l, singing ang instrument playing. The place boasts its great view of downtown San Jose and candle-lit dinner qnd not to mention the cold weather. Although pricey, but the experience is all worth it also with the nicest staff.

The view is incredible. The place is nice, but the food has room for improvement as well as the time for serving. I feel they took too long for our food, and the deserts were just ok. The piña colada was great, though.

Would have been a 5 star, but the lady manager I guess thats what she was...was not very pleasant. The waiters name was Kenneth he was superb. There was another waiter who was very funny. The salmon appetizer was delicious. The view incredible.
