Here's some objective, unbiased feedback @ Feb. 2022......my 2 sons have attended a school camp at this venue, their experiences being 2 years apart (ie. In Feb. '20 & again in Feb. '22). Both sons had a great time & both gave me the same message.... "Dad, the camp facilities were good, and the activities were great, BUT THE FOOD WAS PRETTY BAD!!. OK, we know it was the usual camp-style food, but it was badly prepared and presented. We got breakfast toast that wasn't even properly toasted; parmigiana with tomato sauce stuck on it, not even a basic pasta sauce.....etc. etc." Believe me, my kids are very flexible - they are unfussy & easy going and have been on LOTS of school camps - so when BOTH of them (2 years apart) routinely report the poor nature of the food being presented, I sit up and take notice. Phillip Island Adventure Resort, PLEASE treat this review with respect and improve your food quality & presentation. Parents are not going to pay you $300-$400 (for a 3 day camp) much longer in order to get lousy meals. Your food is really letting you down - improve it!!

Terrific place for a school, group or family experience. Excellent camp style food, very well maintained "school camp" style accommodation and great adventure activities. I supervised a group of year 8 students for about a week and was very impressed! New espresso coffee bar was a very welcome addition!

Very large place with great facilities. So many things to do like Giant swing, Flying fox, swimming pool, canoeing. There are tones of things to do. Staff are also good. Rooms aren't anything special but it's got everything a camping room needs. Overall fun experience.

very fun activities, very friendly staff :) , bring thicker clothes because it is cold there but no one can control weather, food was ok, but it was only because I wasn't very used to this kind of food, but still a very fun camp, very recommended :)

My daughter recently went on camp here. From what she and other children that attended the camp told me that the food was DISGUSTING and not cooked properly, even the ice cream was gross. Both nights the children were all feeling unwell, some we’re actually sick during the night. They have also mentioned there were bed bugs as most have come back with small bite marks. Really disappointing that the kids first camp away ended up giving the kids mild food poisoning and itching skin. Would NOT recommend

This was my final school camp, and my best experience at this camp. The staff were helpful and talkative, friends and teachers were great, and the food was amazing. Overall my best camping experience with my school.

I have stayed at this campsite many times, from when I was a student at school to being a church camp organiser myself. PIAR is excellent no matter who you are. The cabins are clean, the food is great (as good as camp food can get) and there are plenty of activities. The staff are also incredibly lovely, responsive and all-around easy to work with, making planning a camp with PIAR a dream! The location is also ideal, being a short drive from the beach, where you can catch the occasional shooting star if the sky is clear enough. Couldn't recommend PIAR more highly!

I can see in the other reviews there was bad food and disgusting cabins, but in my experience the food was the best ever, even all my classmates agreed it was some on the greatest food they ever had, and our cabins were very clean and neat when we arrived I’m not sure if it was just the smiths residents that got this experience.

Amazing activities to do including flying fox, giant swing, canoeing, archery, high ropes and more. Clean, well maintained cabins and infrastructure and friendly staff. Decent food and picturesque location. Ideal for large school/youth groups and families. Also a ripper frisbee golf course!

For more than 10 years we have had our joyous retreats (Simcha’s) here at Phillip Island Adventure Resort. It has been nothing short of being exceptional in every way. If you just want to relax and unwind this is the place. This venue has a little of everything for you and your children. The air is clean and fresh. All the facilities here help you to take advantage of that and thoroughly enjoy this beautiful island. What makes this venue extra special are the wonderful staff that are kind and considerate.

Went on a school camp here a year ago. Sure, nice big spaces for school groups - our room (only girls) had to share a bathroom with a group of boys - but I'm not sure whether that was an issue with the camp or our group's organising staff. The food was okay at best and absolutely revolting at worst. Seriously, that pasta had a 3mm layer of starch on it and it felt like eating when you hadn't brushed your teeth for 4 days. Please for the love of god hire teenagers that can follow instructions, because that food was not it. The archery was pretty boring, and the grounds were pretty muddy. Otherwise, the camp allowed a disco in one of the communal rooms, which was loads of fun. At the least, thanks for offering big school camps guys.
