(Translated by Google) Very nice place I think it has a lot of potential this neglected I think the gardens should be better cared for since it is the largest area to make a pond where the pools were and make a coffee in the area in front of the lake would be excellent. (Original) Muy bonito lugar creo que tiene mucho potencial esta descuidado creo que los jardines deberían de ser mejor cuidados ya que es el área más grande hacer un estanque donde eran las piscinas y hacer un café en el área enfrente al lago seria excelente.

(Translated by Google) The place is very beautiful, to go for a walk, to know the history and culture of Suchitoto. It shows the biography of the Salvadoran filmmaker Alejandro Coto, who sent was the owner of the house, his legacy is embodied in all parts of the house, even his body is buried in one of his courtyards. At the end of the house there is a spectacular view of Lake Suchitlán. (Original) El lugar es muy bonito, para ir a caminar, conocer la historia y la cultura de Suchitoto. I went to this museum back in 2011. It was great and very informative. Lots to look and the museum workers were all veterans of the war. There is a little section where you could run through the jungle like a guerrilla which is pretty cool too.

Despite there being very limited signage in English, and not knowing very much Spanish, I still throughly enjoyed the museum. Talking to some locals in town it seems like they haven't done all that much to improve the museum over the years, which the museum shows in some areas, and that's really a shame. I recommend checking out the guerilla camp ($1 extra) as well as climbing the hill across the street from the museum for a great view of Perquin and the surrounding areas ($1).

A powerful experience. Interesting to learn more about the this country's difficult history. Well worth exploring the guerrilla camp too. Make time to talk to a guide for some personal recollections.

Really good museum with very interesting pictures and posters showing some of the events of the Salvadoran revolution. Only thing - it was a shame more wasn't also in english. I could get by with the Spanish, but it would have been great to read it in English just to make sure I understood!

A very nice country home, well kept. The gardens and views are magnificent. I recommend going there after a hearty lunch for a leisurely walk. One can imagine what is was like to live there. Mr Coto is a famous film maker that worked with all the great actors from Mexico's Golden Film Era.

This is a small museum and will probably only take you an hour to look through it most. It is across the street from a little walking trail that you can hike up to a mountaintop. For Americans, This museum will be a sobering reminder of the devastating effects that US military interference had on Latin America. It's heartbreaking to see the faces of the departed. The museum is mostly photos and posters.

(Translated by Google) Museum that tells a version of the Salvadoran armed conflict and its causes in a municipality that was the subject of heavy fighting between the army and the FMLN, against the backdrop of the suffering of the civilian population, images of characters who participated in said conflict are shown During the 80s and some samples of the weapons with which the guerrilla army fought, I think it is important to visit it especially by our young people and they did not live in a bitter time and bringing them closer to that harsh reality is a part of our truth as Salvadorans.
