We were there on a Wednesday, and there were few other people there at the same time. They fed the monkeys around 11am, so I recommend planning your trip around that. Many of the exhibits were run down or closed. Some of the signs had been updated, so that was good. It looks like some improvements were in the works. Overall, if you have plenty of time in San Salvador, and especially if you are trying to entertain children, I would recommend adding this to your list of things to do here.

Many of the Animals no more there, empty places. Maintenance very poor. The Puma is sick. Only the Monkey tree is still nice to see. I'm sure the place was nice 10-15 years ago. I think there is no enough financial support. I travel around the world, and this is one of the worst zoo I visit.

the overall expirience was very nice although they are missing a lot of animals and the reptile enclosure was closed. the security people was very rude they beheave like prison guards at the zoo i think they are the real animals get them some help
