I have stayed in this hotel twice. Very nice hotel with good service. The breakfast is ok and could be better, but in general, great hotel to stay in. Nice and clean rooms.

It's a nice hotel. It is clean and strategically located although parking can be a hassle if you don't utilize valet parking. Valet parking is affordable due to the circumstances. Regular rooms lack a microwave, which to my opinion should always be there, no complimentary bottled water is offered but they have available for purchase at their marketplace. Overall good place but with some extra enhancements, it will be better. They have a good complimentary breakfast.

I stayed for a week and it felt like home the entire time. The breakfast in the morning was different every single day I stayed. The garbage was always taken from my room everyday. The guards out front are nice and friendly.

Everything was great staff were attentive. Only thing i hope they change soon is their laundry we had an issue and the staff were not able to resolve it. Luckily there is a laundromat near by.

I had a very positive experience at this hotel. Convenient location, right at one of the malls, close to everything and they have an attentive staff. I had to check in several hours early and was accommodated right away. The front desk staff was very friendly and everyone was polite around the hotel. The morning buffet included pastries and traditional foods. I actually went out to have breakfast at the mall just to try different foods and it was great too. There’s a local cafe and a Starbucks right around the corner too. The rooms themselves are pretty standard, just a regular hotel chain. I would definitely stay here again!

I‘ve tried to change the dates in the hotel before cancel, but anyone in the hotel answered by Booking on time. Then I needed to ask to wave the cancellation fees, and the hotel is charging me anyway. My experience was really bad.

We liked this hotel so much that we extended our stay! The location is central to everything, lots of shopping centers nearby (la gran via is literally around the corner and can be reached on foot). Professional staff, courteous and kind. The breakfast that is included with the stay is delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend this hotel if you'd like to be close to the nation's capital and all its attractions!

Well, this has to be the the 1st Marriott property which I felt didn't live up to the Marriott standards. I thought like Fairfield properties generally are average like 3-3.5 stars but this one was shocking! It felt like a 2 star or a guest house to me. The first thing which caught my attention was that it was actually named as Fairfield INN, so the moment you see the word 'INN' you should somehow lower your standards. Rooms wise was average, I was wondering as an Elite member why was there no upgrades or lounge but this property has only got 2 room types and no lounge. Also one of the first when I saw that I have to pay to buy water, which I thought even Aloft hotels don't do that. Breakfast selection was quite pathetic if you ask me, and everything is self service I don't see anyone serving you. The staff only clean up the tables when guests leave. Customer service could be improved. My luggage was lost in transit by COPA and they agreed to send it to the hotel the next morning but nothing was done. I asked the hotel to help me follow up but the service was really lukewarm. I was quite urgent because my stay in the hotel was short, and the COPA desk at the airport phone line is only open for 1.5 hours in the morning. I chatted with the staff via the Bonvoy app but there wasn't updates provided on the 1st day. It was only on the 2nd day the chat was more responsive. Also got wrong information from the staff. They told me from Santa Tecla I could take a bus to Libertad but in fact there was none. Had to take a bus back to San Salvador and transfer. Only thing I felt was good? The bed and the location where it is just next to Gran Via and there's so many options for food.

A big shout out to the staff! They transformed this standard hotel into a 5 star chain experience, very nice, attentive and friendly. The location OMG! Everything is right next to the hotel, great dinnings, shopping and entertainment, you don't have to drive and that's a life saver in San Salvador! My room was clean and beds were comfortable.

Just want to give a shout out to Melissa, the manager at front desk during our stay. I had reserved two rooms and made mistake of only reserving for 5 nights instead of 6 nights. The hotel was full capacity and she couldn’t extend our stay. While I was in the middle of calling around to find another hotel for one more night she came over and gave us the good news that somehow she found a way for us to extend one of the rooms for one more night. It was such a huge blessing. I can’t thank her enough for getting us out of such a problem. A problem that was my fault but she helped us so much. She is the best as is the rest of the staff there as well. They really go out of their way to make you feel at home. We will stay at this hotel all the times we come to ES from now on. Thank you so much Fairfield Marriott San Salvador staff.

Overall hotel is good, breakfast is basic and other hotels are better. But I'm disappointed because I needed to use the business center and it worked slow and didn't work also. It was the main reason I wanted to stay there so I had to use wifi on my phone as I don't have a laptop. So I can't rate it high because I spent a lot of money for something I couldn't use Also, I've stayed at the new Hyatt centric and Barcelo and their breakfasts are amazing for the price. This is standard and basics

The people that work here can’t complain they’re so nice and welcoming. I like to stay here but this time I did not enjoyed it at all. The room was dirty and so was the bathroom. Use the photos for reference, but the way the room was given to me I don’t think they even clean it. The flood was dirty, they shower floor and glass with someone else hair on the floor and around the bathroom. Shampoo on the floor. The elevator floor was dirty, I like to stay here and been staying here many time but I must consider staying here again after this experience.

The pictures you see online is exactly what you will get, it’s a great place to stay and the walking distance from the hotel to la gran via is literally around the corner. Some things that kinda got me is the smell near the front desk and elevators, as well as the laundry. Every time we come back to the hotel there’s a smell lingering around the front desk area. The laundry is humid/hot and it cost $3 per token to use the laundry which doesn’t really work well. I was also upset about the tv, it’s not a smart tv at all you won’t be able to watch Netflix or screen mirror anything from your phone to the tv since the tv is just a regular cable tv.

All good. Clean, good WiFi, secure parking (at the adjacent Courtyard Marriott) and super friendly staff. Compact rooms but good enough for one. Shops and restaurants around the corner. Highly gentrified area, could be anywhere in the world…

The staff is great, the hotel is a great location, and the breakfast is really good! Would be nice if they had king size beds.

My experience here was so bad I reached out to the front desk, the house keeping department, the general manager AND Marriot corporate and still have not received a solution. I'm starting to believe this branch keeps complaints to themselves and does not share with corporate and vice versa. Dirty towels, dirty showers, not leaving requested items all things that were never solved. Marriott you should he ashamed. You have led me on and offered no solution for a paying and loyal customer..you should be ashamed

Rooms and service great. Monotonous breakfasts and no fresh vegetables.

The atmosphere is one of a newer hotel. It is walking diatance from a 3 sectioned mall area. My issues are in the details. They do not replace coffee packets or small bottled water in the rooms each evening. Something that may not be important to locals staying but for some North Americans who would have to stay in the country a while to slowly acustom their stomachs to public water, bottled water is a necessity not a luxury if you don’t want health issues during your vacation. We had to walk to a nearby pharmacy to stock up on 60 cent bottles or pay $2 for a bottle at the hotel. We would like to stay one more night in the same room but the receptionist is charging us $60 more than the online price and will not honor the online price so my husband is having to check out and then check back in online. Ironic, this hotel is newer and in more affluent neighborhood, but I would rather return to the Best Western Terraza, an older hotel in a more typical area. The receptionists were friendlier, more helpful and interactive, giving suggestions and answering questions and that hotel had a pool and a better buffet breakfast in my opinion. Best Western also tossed free bottes of water at us whenever we asked and housekeeping gave extras of anything needed. For being a popular hotel chain in the U.S.A, it is not as “giving and flexilble” in this particular location.

Unfriendly Counter staff, parking is all the way to courtyard Marriott side, no pool, the rooms are ok and breakfast is great.

My hubby booked a room in Feb. I had stayed in this hotel a few times, due to the location. Anniversary getaway. I called 24 hours before to confirm and we were told by one rep working at night that we would have no problem checking in earlier, so we got there at 1pm. The lady in the FD said that there was a $25 fee.... eventhough they apologized and waived the fee i felt that the lady was ver upset about and didnt really do it willingly. I didnt feel welcome. Your staff needs to be aligned and warmer at the time of receiving guests.

Nice location, confortable bed, good food, laundry room, nice building BUT the worst customer service. No room service. I forgot 2 items in the lobby, three receptionist and no one notice the items sitting at the couch right infront of them.they seem busy on their cellphones. Breakfast time I had to pick up 2 breakfast one for me and one for my husband and no one offered to help me bring the food upstairs I had to do do 2 trips. Pretty dissapointing. Only person who helped us and made us feel welcome was the guard, Ricardo.

I loooved this property. OMG the view to the Volcano was spectacular. The sunrises amazing. Personnel so amazingly friendly, professional. The hotel was very pretty, clean right on an amazing tourist avenue La Gran Via. Will definitely be returning in the future.
