I woke up early and asked about the included breakfast before I headed out. The workers told me there would be no breakfast for an hour. They then prepared breakfast for themselves and proceeded to feast with me sitting there like a dog watching them and waiting for breakfast. I went up to explain to the receptionst how this was very disrespectful, and while stuffing her mouth with food she explained that she was "very sorry I felt this way." If they were going through the trouble of cooking breakfast, they could have simply made me a plate, everyone being fully aware that I was waiting for breakfast. Never ever this is worth 15Dollars. And the worst? Every smallest movement on the bed is like an earthquake. The noise of all beds in the room. This should not even be offered. And yes only cold water. In the middle of the night you also need to get to other floors for bathroom.

Rooms and dorms are Allright. BUT : half of the staff would rather not answer your questions even if you speak Spanish just so that they don't have to take care of you. Also, we booked a trip to nicaragua that went backward in El tunco before going to Leon. As a result we lost 4.5 hours on a 8 hours trip (also paid some 10 use extra compared to people in El tunco.) Nice hostel, we stayed in a room with two beds. The breakfast was ok, and the facilities acceptable. The airport pickup was very reasonably priced and the driver (Alexander) is very personable. The hostel workers were friendly, and had some good advice. The best part of the hostel is the location. A very safe area and near the road to Santa Ana and Ruta Flores-so very easy to catch a chicken bus (which are fine and cheap).

First thing I noticed is the hostel takes the threat of bed bugs very seriously, with posters advising guests how not to spread them. The mattresses and bedding were fresh. "Capsules" had lights and power sockets, very comfortable. Big luggage lockers per bed too. Social area has plenty of seating and games. Staff helpful and English-speaking. Location great for the bus terminal, and reasonably close to shopping centres in what's supposedly the safest neighborhood in the city.

Great hostel with a great vibe. I honestly loved the way the dorms are set up, it really didn't feel like I was in a 10-bed dorm. Plus, every bed is equipped with a fan, plug and light. The common areas are numerous and perfect to chill in. The receptionists are also super nice and helpful. I randomly ran into one of them at a music event and she recognized me, so you don't feel like one guest out of many. I didn't spend a lot of time at the hostel, but I would 100% return. Great hostel, with an amazing location in the zona Rosa. This place is next to a bunch of international bus stations, Tica bus, transporte del sol and Cristobal colon. It's also a very safe neighborhood with lots of bars restaurants and tourists. Dorms are large and airy and have Pod style bunks with lamps, power points and fans. There are very large lockers in the dorms that will fit even the largest bags. There's also a good cheap bkfast and a bar.

Had a really nice time during my visit at La Zona! The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the rooms a clean and comfortable. I stayed in both the AC-dorm and Fan-dorm. Both are nice and at a reasonable price. Nice common hangout areas. Only thing that needs a touch up is the kitchen. It felt a bit lacking. Otherwise great place to stay a few days when visiting San Salvador or when passing through. At a very central location. Very close to the Transport del sol bus office.

My first day that I was supposed to be booked with the hostel I had an issue where they couldn't find me in the system despite me confirming a day earlier 🙃buuuuut after crying because of that and some other situation, Jilmer who was at the front desk spent some time looking for options for private dorm then transitioning me into a dorm room for a few days too and I couldn't of had been more happier! I didn't see it then but in retrospect, I needed that private room for one day to decompress but then when I finally did use the dorms it was a nice transition. The private rooms are beautiful and VERY clean! The dorm rooms are very clean too and the workers that work there are extremely kind! Some notes on the dorm rooms- the bunk beds are very spacious, have a yellow light bright enough to read and yet not disturb others (on the third floor) and my bed didn't come with a curtain cover but i was okay with that because you could just use your towel for it! I didn't use the fan only bc mine was dusty lol but that was okay with me because there's a huge window in the third floor and it offers a pleasant breeze. The second floor dorm however, do have an AC! One thing about the third floor dorms was that I did get bit by mosquitos my first night there bc the window was open and i did not use bug spray my first night but truly, just use bug spray in your space when no one is around and then you should be good! Didn't have problems after that :) As for the location, great location in a very safe neighborhood, close to the Bambu mall, fast food chains and some tasty local restaurants, as well as their museo de antropología which you should not miss! :) You could take local buses there but I honestly walked a lot of places even to the artisan market and Centro histórico because I enjoy walking so to me, this was a good location. THE STAFF WERE AWESOME!!!!!🤟🏽❤️ Truly enjoyed my experience even more because they were laid back, helpful and just not over the top, they were very genuine and spoke with me and others often which I appreciated and tbh the hostel is definitely set up in a way where you're bound to speak to other guests which was great! I would 100 percent suggest staying here! Jilmer and the others are awesome and this hostel does provide tours btw! :) #dontskipElSalvador

Advertised as an airbnb... turns out it'is a Hostel. The unit was decent. However, there is black mold on the ceilings of the bathroom, and at the bottom of a wall between dining table and TV. Charlie was nice. Price was right, however it appears the beds have bed bugs as myself and my 2 year-old child woke up with strange bigger-than-a-quarter-size bites that do not ressemble mosquito bites. 😑 I travel world-wide and I know what mosquito bites feel and look like... The parking is outside, unprotected street-side. The neighborhood is actually great, as there are a lot of restaurants and other amenities walking distance. The entrance is tricky, as there is always a car parked on the pathway, which makes it extremely difficult to walk through with a suitcase and other bags... Although is a great location, I don't think I can ever come back. If you're ok staying in a pseudo-airbnb/hostel shared with others, all in one for cheap, this may be your place. If you're looking for a more decent accommodation, perhaps there are multiple other options.

Well me and my boyfriend went on vacation it was my first time there we spent 3 days. The service was phenomenal, we didn’t actually stay at the hostel but they let us , for the price of a couple beers, use the WiFi and contact our folks. Aside from that, the receptionist, a large Nicaraguan guy, gave us recommendations and a map of El Salvador, he was really warm and friendly.
