You should put a sign, who and where you can record because logically every one today has a cell phone to record your experience at a top quality hotel with horrific third world customer service specially if you have already payed for your meal or you are racially profiling people and judging people before hand if that is the case just put a sign you dont want certain types of people in your stablishment but dont be rude to your paying customers......

I had such a great experience. The hotel is a bit older, but I have to praise their hard efforts to make that hotel clean, goos customer service. The outdoor dinner was beautiful, with peacocks running around was the cherry on top. Sheets were always clean, and housekeeping cleaned your room daily. Can't wait to return.

It is probably the worst hotel ( rating should be 1* or 2* ) I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world period . Especially considering it’s in Central America for $149/ night !! Smelly rooms , run down looks, no in room “ bar” refrigerator off & stunk , terrible carpet, no gift shop ( always locked & has to go to desk to request to open to purchase water & closed after 10 pm ie you are out of luck ) . All in all I would avoid & definitely NOT even worth $50/ night as much newer & cleaner hotels in area are only $60-75 per night . Very old hotel it was a rip off .

Aging hotel that desperately needs better management and food. Rooms are “fine” - showing their age as is the rest of the property (avoid the gym, it’s rough). The breakfast is big but flavorless, the service is hard to come by; some mornings they have someone to seat you, most they don’t. One morning we sat ourselves after waiting 10 minutes and someone came over and aggressively yelled at us and kicked us out. ?!? Highly recommend avoiding this hotel and going for one of the newer nicer options in town. English speaking at the hotel was random but I was able to get by.

This hotel is in a great location and if you go by the pictures they post on their site and other travel sites, you would think you are getting an amazing hotel at a great price. In actuality, you are staying at a hotel property with a luxury name, at a luxury price that has fallen into disrepair and not only has been ignored by its large chain brand, but that charges ridiculous prices for everything ($3.75 for 6 ounce cup of watered down orange juice, $15 for 1 egg and dried out refried beans from a can as breakfast), and slaps small bandaids over large problems. Judging by the picture, you would expect a beautiful pool with full flowing man made waterfall splashing into it. In actuality, the man made waterfall is falling apart and barely drips a small stream of water into the pool. Except when they needed to operate the waterfall for a wedding party, then it was full flowing and leaking into the covered grotto below it. I tried posting pictures of this dripping faucet of a waterfall, but the file was too big and it wouldn’t take. However I was able to upload it with other pictures I took of San Salvador, so maybe you can find it if you look for it. The pool floor is cracking and needs a paint job and patch work done to cement (not to mention a power washing to get rid of years of stains). So they can make the waterfall flow for wedding photos, but not for paying guest staying there because of the misleading photos they advertise??? The building is in desperate need of a paint job, cement and stucco repairs. The carpets and drapes are warn and probably 20years past their usefulness. The ice machines on every floor are broken and if you want ice, you will need to go ask for it at the bar. The TV’s are nice, but no premium channels and while the show American networks like CNN, Fox, NBC New York and others in the lobby and restaurant, they are unavailable in the hotel rooms. The grass parts of the property are well maintained but there are dead palm trees and flower beds throughout the property. Several dried out ponds and other landscape features that either no longer work or are falling apart from years of neglect (this is not pandemic related in my opinion). Our mini refrigerator had mold growing on the plastic shelves and left over lime and fruit pieces from prior guest (who knows how long ago). Lime scale buildup on the shower heads, despite being a nicely appointed bathroom. The beds and bedding were fairly comfortable. Hallway carpets are worn out and need replacing. There are several quails that roam the property like chickens and are fun to watch. Walls in the hallway show cracks and fatigue damage. You can see where quick plaster patches were done, some not even painted. Just quick patches to cover leaks and other problems. The staff was great and very attentive. They were helpful and went out of their way for the guest, but you can tell they can feel the lack of support from the Sheraton brand. They know the hotel is not showing the proper level of care for the property and do their best to over come the lack of appreciation the brand is showing this property.

Honestly, for the price (the most expensive hotel in San Salvador) I feel that its def NOT worth it. Also the pool looks HUGE on the pictures, but it is actually quite small.. the other downside, is that everything on their menu is overpriced and lacks flavor, and the location is a "safe" location, however, all the restaurants near by are waaaay overpriced, i had lunch at the foodtrucks near by, i paid $17 dollars for 2 burgers, that had to be one of the worst burgers i've ever had. Do yourself a favor and only buy pupusas, cant go wrong with that!!

Hotel is probably the same age as your father and mother. I was hesitant to stay, because I wanted a more modern vibe hotel. I travel every 2 weeks, or once a month, stay at different hotels but this was special. It’s an “old” hotel. Yet it’s beautiful. The room was spotless, carpet was impecable. Outside of the hotel, maximum security and police officers, why? For no reason. Salvador felt safer than the US. I hope management is reading this, because this hotel is amazing and the service is the best. I can’t wait to come back. I am relaying this message and have not even experienced the hotel, such as the pool and executive hall. Coming from a foreigner, this was top tier . 10/10 location 10/10 hotel 10/4 bar (closes way too early) 10/10 cleanliness (amazing)

Saw the hotel online. Loved what it offered and the photos. I started my research and I found this YouTube channel with over 300k followers. Deschavetados were making a review of one of the restaurants and suddenly they are kicked out and threatened by some random security guy. So, so disrespectful. I immediately decided to look for a different option because if they treat well known YouTubers like that, I can't even imagine how they will treat a regular visitor.

We booked a room at this hotel for one night only. We checked in to the hotel just before 4:00pm on Saturday. The hotel gave us a "free welcome drink" coupon to use at the bar, but when we tried to redeem them at the bar, we were told a long list of exclusions which basically means you can select from four of the lowest cost drinks. The lobby and service in the front of the hotel are very top-notch and the staff at the front desk and the bar area were very friendly. We made our way up to the second floor room and inside the room, we found all the basics that you would expect in a hotel. The mini-fridge was missing from the room. After we settled in for a few minutes, we went out to the pool area to enjoy a swim for a couple hours. Waiter service was provided at the pool area and the server was very helpful and was very courteous. After leaving the pool, we tried to enjoy the room for about an hour, but there was a loud concert performance in the parking lot area of the hotel facing our balcony doors. You could feel the music bass through the room and through the beds. After about an hour of this concert disrupting our stay, I asked the hotel what this even is and how long it would be. I was told it was expected to last until 11:30pm to 12:00am. Because of this, at 8:15pm, we packed our bags and relocated to another property a few miles away. The hotel staff did not seem to care that we were already checking out. Instead, they just said "okay" and handed me the check-out receipt. The property is probably great, but make sure there is not a concert out front or ensure the hotel does not purposely put you in a room near the concert when they know it's going to cause disruption to your peaceful stay.

Overall a nice stay over Labor Day Weekend 2023. Amenities were excellent at this hotel. Breakfast buffet, lunch and food was good. VIP lounge on 4th floor was okay not much options. Staff was friendly as well. Other than be charged twice for coffee not much to say thats bad. Location of hotel is in front of a mall and many restaurants and nightclubs.

The rooms are very nice but let me start off with things they have. Breakfast is amazing Pool is huge Peacocks walk around sometimes and they are also caged up. There’s a walk around terrace. And the lounge has amazing food snacks like bacon wrapped shrimps and ceviche…. I want to go back asap

Wifi is very unreliable and the hotel is dated. It is located in a great location with many restaurants, shops, and nightlife around. Had always stayed here for business and recommended it to clients pre pandemic, going forward however, we will be staying at the Intercontinental-which despite losing out on Marriott points, is a much better option for business travel. Hope things change as I’d love to come back and once again recommend colleagues and clients.

Very disappointed..a mediocre hotel at best. Didn't get much sleep due to noise! The first night the fire alarm on our floor went off @ 2:38 AM. That was fun! Lol No apology, no explanation.. needless to say, we slept with one eye open! Poor area was nice. Staff very unfriendly..

Is this one of the best hotels in San Salvador? I assume so since it was used to host the stays of so many presidents visiting San Salvador. I had a 2 nights stay in this hotel and it was kinda awful. Firstly throughout the whole stay I felt the customer service was lacking. I asked directions at the front desk but the response was not very friendly. At breakfast, I was asked 'tea or coffee' 3 times but no one brought me the tea after. Not sure if it was the holidays season there is so much partying in the hotel premises especially the pool. Both nights there were loud music playing till late, even received memo that the party would end at 1am! If you are a light sleeper please make sure you don't have a pool facing room. I called at 10pm and asked them to lower the volume which they did only after 11pm. Actually lowering the volume didn't help much but the bass was still very strong which felt like tremors in the room. The lounge was small and comfortable but the variety of food is definitely the most pathetic I have seen in any Marriott hotel. I guess they have more variety of tea flavours than the food served. Quite a wide variety of food served for breakfast though, and enjoyed looking at the family of peacocks roaming the grounds of the hotel. The hotel has low levels but there are many rooms on each level. Pray hard you don't get the ones near the ends of each floor. The corridor looks like a never-ending path.

Horrible experience. Party going on at the pool when I checked in at 1am (flight was delayed). It was so loud in my room I had to leave. Got a full refund from Expedia when I called them and let them hear the noise from the party over the phone before I left. Stay at the Hotel Barcello, it's so much nicer. Staff "Alex" was rude and thought my issue was funny to them. I will never return.

The hotel was nice but outdated. The breakfast buffet was delicious and more than surprised me with the variety it had and also the service from the staff was great. Attended the New Years bash Buffett and the music was great, food was ok and atmosphere was fun....

Overall I had a good time at Sheraton Presidente, there a lot of options for breakfast and food is tasty. There are also taxi services available which is good. The pool area is really nice and the rooms are confortable (but actually not the level of a 5 stars in my opinion). However if you are looking for a quiet hotel, I would not recommend this one, specially during the holiday season. I stayed 5 nights for a business trip and literally every night there was a party until 2 am. My room overlooked the pool so it was crazy loud because of the music and people dancing.

I had a wonderful time! I loved being greeted by the peacock every morning for breakfast. The staff is incredible the customer service is second to none. Every time I called for toothpaste or extra towels they were there in no time. It was a wonderful 5 days and I highly recommend it. They had a wonderful party on New Years and I kind of crashed a wedding party the day before. 🤣

The hotel is located in a nice area with short walks to malls and food options. However, this hotel does host political events and private parties. Our first night had a prom, and if you are on the second floor (like us), you'll hear the music until 2am. Other days, there were political events with a lot of police. The pool is nice, there is a small kid pool to the side of the main pool but there is no jacuzzi. There are large hamocks to enjoy, but the food/beverage service could use a little improvement and there are limited choices. The rooms are very spacious and have a small fridge, coffee & free water bottles. Unfortunately, they do not have microwaves, so if you're traveling with kids you can not heat up food. The hotel staff is friendly. Lastly, the hotel could use a fresh coat of paint on the outside as it does look worn out.

We have the opportunity to stay in this hotel due to our canceled fly. I must to say that I’m so happy with the customer service provided by everyone at this location. Room nice, clean and welcoming. Breakfast included and of course a “pupusa” station at the breakfast area a must to eat if you are in El Salvador.

Excelent service! They gave me a courtesy drink when I did the check in (it could be with or without alcohol), the TV is big and recent (not like most hotels that normally keep old tvs). I also got 4 bottles of water which is great, normally I get 2 and I have to start looking where to find some additional ones.

Nice location, near shopping, museums. I felt safe walking several blocks in all directions early mornings and afternoons. Nice food, pool and giant hammocks to relax in. Several peacocks roam the sheraton's interior outdoor recreation area and are fun to observe. Staff was kind and helpful.

It's a great hotel in San Salvador but you have to remember where it is. El Salvador is limited in some ways so there are limitations here at the hotel as well. When I went down to the pool, there was no wait staff service and no pool towels were offered. The gym has equipment but not a lot and it smelled a little funky. The breakfast bar has good offerings but nothing specifically for vegetarian or vegan diners.

I had the privilege of spending a night at this inn, and I must express my profound satisfaction with both the exceptional hotel and its unparalleled location. The level of service provided was truly commendable, exemplified by a swift and seamless check-in process. Notably, the staff's unwavering courtesy and authenticity were pleasantly surprising, undoubtedly contributing to an optimal guest experience. The accommodations were adorned with tasteful decor, maintaining a pristine and inviting ambiance. My heartfelt gratitude extends to the entire team, and I eagerly anticipate the opportunity to revisit this establishment in the future.

The Sheraton is somewhat of an institution in San Salvador. However, it has seen brighter days. The rooms are spacious but a bit dated. The breakfast way yummy. The bar food was meh… nothing to write home about. The location is ideal. Lots of powerbrokers are usually around this place.

$500 cash was stolen from my room yesterday. I arrived from an international trip the prior night and was very tired. I left the hotel the next day and had left the money in my bag in my room. I came back to my room after the room had been cleaned, and the money was gone. I’d think that at a Marriott hotel they’d have the integrity and security to protect their guests, no matter what. I know there is a safe, but I was very tired and forgot to use it, and anyway, I have always trusted Marriott hotels. I reported the incident to hotel security but do not feel that it is being resolved, they are just wasting my time at this point by questioning me and searching through all my stuff like I’m the bad guy. Extremely disappointed.

Poor experience. Besides the old facilities and poor service, I never received my electronic bill by email. Still waiting for the invoice to be able to claim the travel expenses. Nobody answers emails or contact attempts. Truly unaceptable for a chain like Marriott and a Bonvoy long-standing member.

Don’t stay here, just don’t - seriously. Unless you are attending a party and won’t want to go to sleep before 3 AM anyway. Or if you wish to pay for sleep deprivation. My wife and me had up to 80 decibels in our room while we stayed here due to a party going on down at the pool until very late at night. Staff was completely ignorant of the situation and utterly uncooperative. They could not move us to another room, they could not get us earplugs, nor could they offer any kind of other solution or compensation. I can only imagine what it would have been like for me, had I been on a business trip this time and had I needed to get up early to go to work the next day. Should have spent the $150/night elsewhere. Won’t come back of course.

Excellent clean and professional Sheraton hotel. Underground parking is available for free, and the service and covid regulations are enough to make you feel safe. Nice sized clean rooms, and a nice evening club lounge on the fourth floor for elite members. Excellent elite privileges overall, and friendly staff. Great stay in San Salvador, we will return!

Everything is nice there the only reason I gave 4 star is because one night the had a party in the swimming pool area which lasted over midnight, and I believe it would be nice to have a limit until midnight or lower the volume of the music so people can reat

This was my first trip to El Salvador and I stayed at the Sheraton Presidente with my father and my partner. Service was excellent and a shout out to Hector in the club elite lounge for being the best. Every employee there was very helpful and if they could not help me they were able to get somebody who could. I went during the prom and wedding season so there were parties every night. So if you go during prom and wedding rest assured that there will be music going on until 2:00 to 3:00 in the morning as salvadorians love their parties. And a great time to listen to them play their music and enjoy it from the room if you're there as a guest. The hotel was clean and you get to see some lovely peacocks and guinea hens wandering the pool side.

What can I say ! This place is beautiful 🤩 close shopping malls that are walking distance and many restaurants that you can walk to and choose from. The staff is amazing and very helpful, pool is beautiful and from all the times I have been there no issues of over crowded pool. Gym is decent, food is amazing somewhat pricey. Bar is great! They also have very well reputable taxi drivers that can take you wherever you want to go in the city for a fee. Rooms are very clean 🧼 and super comfortable. Can I say something negative about this place NO WAY other than that I wish I could stay longer. WIFI works all around the hotel and Cable TV is excellent. This is a gem 💎 of a hotel 10/10 all across the board!! I was there this February and this is always a must to stay when I’m in San Salvador!

Management was indifferent for the disappearing of an expensive dental night guard from my room, which very likely was put in the garbage or dirty laundry by negligent cleaning staff. In custumer service Management earns “0” for the lack of response.

We had the blessing of staying at the hotel when our flight was canceled. The hotel came to pick us up, very friendly, courteous, and professional. The gentleman checking us in was very friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the bar area, which was very relaxing and the staff was extremely attentive. The food was delicious, burgers and chicken soup, with peanuts and bread as appetizers. The hallways and our rooms were very clean. What a nice surprise to get to enjoy this hotel. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!

Big rooms and a beautiful pool, but the service and menu was lacking. Surrounding area is safe and walkable, but very hilly. The market is a 20 minute walk, the art museum is right next door. Would stay again, but prefer The Crown Plaza if pricing was similar or equal.

Our fridge didn’t work our entire stay, told the front desk, they said they’d get another one for us but it never happened. Our friends fridge in another room also didn’t work?? Housekeeping also barged into the room one morning without knocking or saying anything, they just opened the door and walked in and did it to my friends too?! So many red flags at this hotel. Go somewhere else!

It’s well located with many restaurants, shopping centers and even a pharmacy nearby. The service across the board was friendly and speedy with great communication. They gave us a free drink voucher (status thing?), it was a nice coffee cocktail….either way wouldn’t complain about a free drink lol. The rooms are a bit dated but were clean. The hotel was lively with ppl which I highly appreciate.

I would like to thank the staff at the Sheraton hotel in El Salvador especially the restaurant staff for making my visit a very memorable one .They were very friendly, pleasant and accommodating. We were able to bond particularly when they tried to teach me Spanish. The front desk staff, concierge and guest services were also very helpful under the circumstances. My wife had emergency surgery requiring almost a month stay and it was like home away from home. I plan to visit again during one of her future trips. Special mention goes out to the following restaurant and concierge staff Rosemary Gloria Jose Luis Maybelline Raquel Cecelia Luis ( concierge ) Unfortunately we didn't get the name of the guest services staff they were very efficient and friendly .
