Because of some circumtances, we ended up staying there 3 times! I am very glad we did, Malcolm and his team found a way to accomodate us each time and his staff was always very helpful. The rooms are perfectly adequate and a great value for the price. The atmosphere is quiet and I would recommend it to every type of traveller; backpacker, couple, family, etc. The only thing I would mention is this: Don't underestimate the difficulty of getting around from somewhat remote Colonia Escalon, especially if you rely on public transport. It is not that easy to get to the Centro and even more difficult to come back. Plan for added time.

We stayed for one night 4 ladies and one infant. We felt safe and the free wifi and AC was a plus. The host Jorge gave us a warmed welcome and helped us out with some food because everything was closed on Sunday late. I know the area and it's safe.
