The hotel is nice and a good price. For a single or couple it is 44 dollars for a single room. They are very friendly to Americans and can use Google translate to speak to you. The staff is more than happy to get to know you. The hotel has a roman/Greek theme and maps of places to visit as a tourist. It is not to far from a main mall to get anything you may need for your stay. Would highly recommend for a long stay.

On Feb. 17, 2016, I called "Hotel Grecia Real" from the USA to reserve 2 rooms for Feb 20. They were reserved. On Feb. 19 the Hotel was called from a family member in E.S. to confirm the reservation. It was confirmed. Feb. 20, upon arrival at the Hotel, the desk clerk "Elizabeth," said "no reservations had been made and no rooms were available." (a private event was taking place) I asked to speak with management. She advised me no management are in the Hotel on the weekends.(?) Elizabeth was anything but helpful or polite. 10 months earlier, the same Hotel was used by the 4 of us. It was medium quality. Rooms are fair, (old) and no hot water. Employees were OK then, but nothing great. Many hotels within 1/2 block. Elizabeth actually did us a favor! Rated as a 2.5

Dated and poorly equipped. No space for luggages, AC was not functioning properly. Bathroom is poor.

Good service and very friendly employees.

Shower water heater did not work and had faulty wiring- but everything else was wonderful.

I was electrocuted when I was having a shower! Look up the suicide shower head. I had never heard of it until I was electrocuted and found out thats what the shower head was called (and for good reason). The lady we reported it to didn't actually make a note of it, she never wrote it down and actually kept a report. We found that out from another staff member we talked to about it. It was really scary, and if not for the sandles I was wearing I'd probably be dead or severely injured.the beds are old spring mattresses so my back was killing from the springs being so uneven and worn. The pool was disgusting, green and polluted, there was a sign up saying not to use the pool. The only nice thing about thus place is the area around the pool where they serve breakfast. I would have given it 2 stars but after being electrocuted I can't justify it. Only stay here if you have a death wish.

It was excellent! I traveled to el salvador in October 2022 I was looking for a place that would be close enough to everything so I'd avoid the car rental. This place is literally 6 minutes walking distance to the malls and restaurants. I took many trips to the malls during a single day just to eat or shop. Grecia Real has a delicious buffet style breakfast and the staff members are great. The place is clean and the pool very inviting. This is my 3rd time staying here.

I came to San Salvador on a mission trip in July 2023. I came with a group of people and we stayed here for 12 days. The hotel is owned by an Adventist woman and she was so kind enough to work with our mission manager to let us stay for 12 days and made sure we were taken care of. The rooms are pretty small for a couple. I went with my husband and it was a very tiny room with not a lot of space to move around. There is also no iron in the room. You have to ask the front desk for it. But the housekeepers came and clean every day, the toilet and shower works and never broke, and the Air Conditioning Unit worked well (that's very important because it's super hot here!) The breakfast that's provided every morning is amazing!! They serve a lot of Salvadorean food and some American food, but all very tasty. There's a pool in the hotel and it's always clean. I was too busy to jump in but only could sit at the side and dip my feet in. There is a hotel cat, the cat is with the hotel owner and the cat is very friendly so don't be alarmed if you see a car roaming around. The hotel is in a great location, less than 10-minute walk from a big mall. I went there twice to shop and eat lunch. Finally, all of the hotel staff don't speak much English, so make sure you know some Spanish phrases. You can use Google translate to help you communicat with the staff. I would learn how to ask for your breakfast ticket to get breakfast, how to ask for an iron, and how to ask for more towels from the cleaning staff.
