A super short hike (about 15 minutes) that involves a pretty steep set of stairs at the finish. We did the walk with our 19 month old baby and definitely would suggest doing this early morning as there is no shade and can be very hot for a little one. It was beautiful and had lovely views.

REAL EXPERIENCE A walk of 40 minutes maximum waiting time. There are good spots all along the way. Great to start hiking. Bring water and travel light, for that trip you don't need much more than water, a hat, and your phone for photos. I really tell you, don't be afraid of this walk, the only thing you will feel are some steps, everything else is easier. Bring company, going with a cherada is better. I recommend going at sunset, it was magical to see it from that point. Going early is important, around 4:00pm, because it gets a little crowded. The precautions above are that you do not abuse going to the banks, there is a lot of loose stone, you can slide. Enjoy the landscape, it is beautiful, be grateful, reflect and breathe deeply, being in front of something so precious wants its moment of being here and now, in the present and living it. When you go down, do it before everyone and when you can still see with natural light. Going down those steps at night and without seeing clearly is ugly. Besides, everyone is going down. You can park your car on the edge of the entrance where the walk begins or you can leave it in a small dining room about 20 meters before. Now they say that sedans do arrive but I tell you that it is well pulled and expensive, especially if it is automatic, I would not recommend going in a sedan and even less if it is low, the road is not so even. But of course, it depends on each car. I hope it helps you, it was my first experience like this and I loved it, I think you might like it too.

Good place for hiking, birdwatching and enjoy nature. The hike to the top is not that difficult but very steep.

STUNNING 360 VIEWS, so far my favorite place in the entire country. For views, peacefulness, ease of access and a very short walk. Sunrise and sunset are just jaw dropping. Camped in the parking lot at night for $5 USD— not a single person or tour bus, Wednesday night. Will go back and camp again High winds are rare but certainly possible. A man is usually sitting there during business hours — it is $3 to hike or $5 USD per night of camping (solo traveler so I believe it's 5 per person) Anyways, you drive up to the right then left, go straight for the big parking lot to camp. The dirt road has many deep ruts, clearance and 4Lo recommended. When the path splits to go straight (camping spot) or to the right you can drive around, down, up, around then again down to the stairs that will take you to the very top of Peñon de Comasagua. The walk up the stairs is maybe 5 minutes However, the walk up is NOT for bad knees the stairs are steeeeeep and tall. Take your time. Be careful and enjoy the stunning views at the top. Great to take some snacks, sit up there for a couple hours and soak it all up. Dog friendly — trash bins in the parking lot.

(Translated by Google) Spectacular views, it took us 20 minutes to climb from the entrance where the car is left. From the town of Comasagua to the rock the street is a bit narrow.

An epic 360° view. A very fun short hike up the most intense stairs I've ever seen, and a very serene special feeling when you reach the summit. Sit and take it all in, and please don't throw your trash here.

Nice natural place to visit. It will take you about 1 hr-1.5 hrs of hiking 🥾 in both directions. - You can buy bottles of water 💧 at the entrance. - Better don’t go after rain. - Entrance is $2 per person - Parking 🅿️ is $2 per vehicle 🚗 I would not recommend to drive directly from the ocean (Google maps will probably show you the shortest route) it’s better to choose a route with +10 or +20 minutes of driving but you will come faster and less stress :)

We arrived before dawn to be able to enjoy it in peace, it requires a little effort since you have to climb approximately 70 steps. But it is achieved without having much experience in outdoor activities.
