Wonderful
authentic
experience.
Here's
what
happened.
We
were
heading
to
La
Gruta,
when
we
were
approached
by
a
nice
lady
asking
us
if
we're
looking
for
lunch.
She
had
shown
us
a
leaflet
which
seemed
to
be
enticing,
and
we
said
we
were
going
to
think.
We
kept
going
towards
La
Gruta,
but
oh
my
we
actually
had
to
walk
quite
a
lot
(we
were
exhausted
from
climbing
pyramids...)
so
we
returned
and...there
was
the
lady
saying
"so
you
wanna
go
now
right?"...Yes,
she
was
that
pressing,
but
at
the
end
it
was
also
great.
We
were
picked
up
by
a
minivan,
spent
about
5
minutes
in
the
car,
and
headed
to
our
table.
The
ambient
was
simple
but
very
cozy.
The
food
selection
was
a
gift
to
anyone
wanting
to
know
more
about
Mexican
Authentic
cuisine.
We
ordered
Pollo
adobado
(,
which
was
sided
by
plenty
of
tortillas,
one
quesadilla,
nopal
and
queso,
guacamole,
longaniza
(really
unexpected),
one
tlacoyo
and
two
roasted
cebollinas.
All
that
for
just
180
pesos...The
quality
was
unreal.
We'd
also
ordered
sopes
as
an
appetizer,
pulque
(our
first
time,
extremely
interesting
and
actually
quite
good
when
you
get
used
to
it.),
piña
colada
and
agua
fresca.
Sadly
we
really
didn't
have
any
room
for
postres
(desserts).
Service
and
music
were
excellent.
But...with
such
a
great
array
of
qualities,
it's
actually
very
sad
that
their
bathrooms
could
be
much
much
better.
It
seems
to
be
really
dragging
the
restaurant
back.
If
they
solve
that,
it
would
pretty
much
be
a
jewel
for
all
hungry
foodies
coming
from
the
(awesome)
pyramids.
