(Translated by Google) Martin Berasategui is one of the greatest chefs in world gastronomy. Every dish that he puts on the table is full of technique and passion for what he does and always respecting the product and the season. Highlight the very bright place, on the terrace you are feeling great. The very thorough explanation of the dishes and the excellent wine cellar which says a lot about the great room equipment it has. It is one of the restaurants that you have to go to once in your life at least.

Our trip to Spain was purely for a culinary adventure. While visiting San Sebastián, we wanted to make the most of it and went to Amelia (2 Michelin Stars) and of course Martin Berasategui (3 Michelin Stars). Both we amazing but the true difference when people ask me is that while Amelia was amazing I wouldn’t recommend it to everyone, while Martin Berasategui I would say it’s a must if you are a foodie. There is a kid like feeling when you don’t do any research about decor or the menu. The first feeling you get is a sense of awe when you see the restaurant, the setting, the backdrop. It is picturesque and completely sets the tone for what you will be feeling, complete awe. 10 out of 10 for setting/ambience. The staff was very friendly and did everything to make us feel comfortable. I’m the type to joke around and seeing as I also brought my 2 kids (13 and 10) the staff made sure to keep it as carefree as could be. They even said they would make a pasta for them if we wanted. 10 out of 10 for service. The food was amazing. Hard to describe each dish as it a surprise to the taste buds. Everything was well composed, made sense and just surprising at every turn. Martin is truly a master at his craft. Food 10 out of 10. Towards the end of our meal we were delightfully treated to a special treat. Meeting Martin himself. I had a fanboy moment that my kids won’t let me live down. With an interpreter by his side, he wanted to make sure we were happy with our meal and thanked us. The restaurant is about a 15 min cab ride from San Sebastián. There is one 1 sitting and your meal will be about 4 hours long. At the end of the night, the server will ask if you need a cab ride back and arrange it if needed. Service from beginning to the end. Truly a world class restaurant in every sense. One of the best meals of my life. Overall experience 11 out of 10. Exceeded all expectations.

Martin Berasategui is part of Basque culinary royalty. Master Martin Berasategui holds a total of 12 Michelin starts for all of the restaurants under his care. An elegant space with no shortage of relaxing views of the surrounding countryside, diners can experience a hedonistic approach to cuisine. Careful study of row ingredients, attention to detail and continuous improvement of techniques are the hallmarks of this restaurant. The desserts were wow

I went here with my family this past summer, it was probably one of my favorite 3 Michelin star restaurants. The dining experience was absolutely amazing; every single course was delicious! The service was exceptional.

We came here after trying Mugaritz - what a difference! Food was above perfect, every dish is capable of surprising without forgetting the tradition. Service was very good and we really liked that the chef humbly went to all table to chat with the diners. Very good wine selection for all price ranges and knowledgeable staff. Much much better than Mugaritz! The only thing we didn't love was dessert, they where both too "fresh", we would have preferred something more deep and intense (thinking dark chocolate) but all in all well worth the trip

A magical almost theatrical experience as you’d expect from a 3 star restaurant. Totally sublime, perfect service, unbelievable food and a price to match. Don’t go if you’re on a budget. 4 of us chose the 20 course tasting menu and our own choice of wine (not the wine flight) each course was explained as was the wine. Truly memorable

Greetings! According to our great experience of visiting similar locations, this feedback being placed. So, our dinner was placed at 21:15. It's actually little strange, because it's usually big ceremony, and approximately last 2 hours, when we entered location, we were impressed about location and design, a lot of open space, tables placing, etc. It was very-very different from the same locations in Paris, etc, As usual tradition we have presented 2 valuable presents (2 bottles of extra-quality vodka from Ukraine) - 1 for team, 1 for chief... And faced the situation at the end, that nobody from team told chief, that we have brought presents. Actually nobody brings presents, and they decided not to tell chief about that fact before he came with invitation to our table. Policy of the facility is very democratic, if sitting in a pair, one can order tasting menu, second can order a-la-carte. Usually often you should order a-la-carte both or not to order it at all. Pricing - correct, but bigger than in public sources. Dishes quality: 4/5. A lot of jelly and foam in different variations. Creative combinations of food and great table presentation. Lack of expensive and unusual ingridients, mostly simple one that belong more to 1 and 2* Michelin restaurants. Desserts taste really better than main dishes, which could be Pigeon for example. There was no extravagant dishes preparing at table, just some syrup rain from waiter, and that's all. Nothing special. Process: booooooooooooooooring, we have started even earlier at 21:00, and last dessert we asked to wrap to take at hotel. And even our attempts of speed up the process lead to the dinner ending at .... 0:40!! If no speed up - definitely 01:00. It's time of breakfast soon!!! Process of serving is very-very slow, dishes quantity is up 20, but for example ANA airlines serves 30+ dishes in first class and total it lasts less than 3h in a plane!! So, dear Mr. Martin, you should do something with your service, optimize menu maybe or to make something to entertain your guests if you still wish to last your dinner 4h+. Totally no surprises, you have all the menu from beginning, and all according to plan. It's quite dissapointing process, you just sit like in cage, because you have ordered menu and big money paid for it, and can't sit till the end, because it's too looooooong. And to go away earlier is not very polite, heh? Service. Service was partly skilled, and partly professional. There was a great feeling that a lot of newbies are working. As stated previosly, nobody told chief, that we have brought presents. My cutlery did not changed for a while as I have ordered a-la-carte, and my wife ordered tasting menu, so they started to change after comment only. Waiters were tense and not interested, especially because of bad knowing of English largely. They just did a bare minimum, as well as chief did too. Finally my bill was not correct, as there was added +36 more EUR for the Champagne, that we did not ordered. It's a huge-huge-huge mistake in 3* Michelin. Very big surprise that honored Mr. Martin does not know English, so our conversation did not worked out, he looked very tired. And he also torturedly performed the obligatory role of greeting the guests in our case. Although it seemed that he did much better with Spanish-speaking guests Overall impression: location is overrated currently. Chief is tired and does not controll all the processes around, ceremony and concept should be renovated to lower overall processing time. They have received already 3* confirmation this year, so I believe they just feeling relaxed. OK, for 1-2* it's good and great to visit, but definitely not 3*. In fact, I have counted 3.6 points from 5 in ratio, but Google does not allows me to put it in, and it is definitely not 4 from 5, so my verdict is 3/5. Our bill was around 620 EUR for 2 persons.

If you only had the time to visit one restaurant in San Sebastián, come here. To be honest, I generally try to keep my expectations for 3*s lowered, since past experiences taught me that at a certain price point, it becomes about creating a memorable experience rather than just providing sustenance. Martin Berasategui blew my expectations out of the water. The meal was a symphony of delights from start to finish. Each course served a purpose - there are no fillers here. Standouts were their signature foie and smoked eel sandwich, vegetable hearts salad, perfectly cooked deer loin, and hot & cold gin fizz palate cleanser. Service was impeccable, and the tranquil atmosphere cannot be missed.

My first 3-star restaurant and by far the best dining experience in my life! The food here is a trigger for engaging discussions - recipe for a great evening with a group of people. Food here is of best quality, surprising in how it's served and amazingly paired with wine. The service was really exquisite.

One of the best restaurant I have ever been to. Chef was humble, and food is amazing. Love the olives. I am impressed that even though i have difficult diet, the team addressed my needs without trouble whatsoever. The experience was smooth and great. The sommelier, very young but knowledgeable and we had very nice conversation. I also got a present signed by Martin. For sure, I will be back.

(Translated by Google) A pleasant experience, that of the tasting menu, but in the search for perfection, I would say that with the pairing, which is not cheap, they were stunted in some glasses, giving me the feeling of "racaneria" that was confirmed at the time of paying the invoice. 4 menus 2 pairings- € 1,450 ..... plus € 18 water, which by the way was offered without asking. A pity, after having enjoyed at the table.

Yep. It really is that great. The quality of the preparations, the surprising flavors. Each of the breads alone were of amazing quality, so I needed to order one of each. The above and beyond attention to detail of food concerns as well, including slightly different preparations of lobster that would require quite a bit of extra work for one guest over another. The staff was very attentive to each of our questions about ingredients and preparations, when we asked for extra explanations. The chef didn't talk much to us, probably because we didn't speak Spanish, though he talked quite a while to each of the other tables. Come for lunch, which will take up to 3 hours or so. Bring an empty stomach and a full wallet. While it hurts to spend this much, this place is probably worth it, at least once. 290€ for tasting menu. Mugaritz was pretty good as well, but I see why this place is rated so highly. It's definitely the better deal for food quality.

Amazing on all aspects, it was like dinner and a show! We started at 1:30 and didn't end until almost 5:30, so I would highly recommend going for lunch. My husband and both got the tasting and we shared the wine pairing (which was plenty). The bill was painful, but definitely worth it, was probably my favorite part of Spain.

The most extraordinary dinner I’ve ever had. From start to finish, every detail of the experience was impeccable. We got the tasting menu but skipped the wine to instead enjoy the iced teas they offered, which were surprisingly delicious. We wouldn’t change a thing about our experience. If you’re choosing between which 3 Michelin star restaurant to indulge in when visiting the area, choose this one.

Absolutely fantastic experience. The tasting menu was exceptional and the wine pairings were on point with some interesting choices that worked very well. The service was probably the best I’ve ever experienced and staff were extremely attentive, happy and helpful. Our lead server spoke fluent Spanish, French and English to diners. My favourite restaurant in the Basque and a must try if you’re in the area.

Words fail me right now. My girlfriend booked a table for my 30th birthday and honestly it has been a once in a lifetime experience. We got two tasting menus, cocktails and a nice bottle of white wine. The maitre and the sommelier were very attentive and pleasant. I personally loved the classics like the tuna tartare and the salad but some of the newborn dishes were spectacular. Martin deserves every Michelin star and every penny. He was so nice he also gifted me a signed copy of his book after coming to our table. I will be back one day!

(Translated by Google) Spectacular quality of the dishes, very original, perfectly cooked and with an unbeatable presentation. Easy to adapt the tasting menu if you don't like something (not only if you are allergic) However, - Although the attention was 10 in general, we had to call the table manager a couple of times to clarify a couple of things due to the changes in the menu. - The value for money in general seemed expensive and above all we found it wrong that with the cost of the tasting menu they charged us € 6-8 for each welcome drink and another € 6-7 for each coffee. It seems to us that the smallest detail would have been to include at least the coffees in the menu price ...

We had a lovely meal here. We have enjoyed many restaurants of this quality and this one met our high expectations. I was struck by the impression of freshness in the menu. There was nothing heavy anywhere. The pairings complimented the meal beautifully and brought fruit and crispness to even the most savory flavors. The dining area is beautiful and you are surrounded by gardens.

As I walked into the restaurant, I was struck by the amazing atmosphere that enveloped me. The warm glow of the lights, the chic decor, and the inviting aroma of food all combined to create an unforgettable dining experience. But what truly made this place special was the interesting pallet of flavors that blended together perfectly in each dish. As I perused the menu, I couldn't help but feel a sense of adventure and excitement, eager to try something new and unique. From the first bite to the last, every dish was a masterpiece, and I left the restaurant feeling truly inspired by the chef's skill and creativity. I knew without a doubt that I would be back to this incredible place again and again.

Probably the fanciest place I have ever been to. It has a very minimalist decor which I really like. It is a very spacious arrangement here. In the room we were in there were only four tables. We went with the tasting menu for $275. We didn't do the wine pairing but it was $155 extra. I won't go through all the dishes but you need to be an adventurous eater to like this place. They bring out all sorts of items. Gastronomically they really put a lot of thought into the dishes. The critique I have for the food was that there was a lot of the foams and creams. Every dish had either a foam or a cream and I almost got sick of them towards the end. Granted they all had different flavors it still was a little offputting. My favorite dish was the dessert. They had this dish were it looked like a lime and some sort of sorbet but the lime was actually white chocolate. Delicious. The best way I can describe it is Simple, elegant, and superb service. It is a pricey meal and honestly I only began to enjoy when the dessert came. If you want a 3 Michelin star experience come here but the dinner was a little underwhelming. The Service however made up for it.

5 stars is not enough! Perfect Michelin restaurant for both an experience and good food! (As nowadays a lot of Michelin places try to focus more on experience rather than the food). We were really impressed with the menu and the tastes. The service was top notch, kudos to the staff!

We where just in San Sebastian for the day and wanted to try the best of their famous food offerings. The restaurant is a bit out of town in what seems like surburbia but that's fine because once the food starts to arrive all is forgiven. The food is top notch and presentation is great, martin even came round to greet us. It was an enjoyable experience all-round although the price may put a dint in your pocket.

Correct service in Spanish, little connection in the dishes and in the atmosphere with the land where the restaurant is located, dishes very well presented but not an explosion of flavors, price of drinks and wines exorbitant and no trace of the protagonist by the restaurant. Disappointed. (Original) Esperaba más, bastante más. Comparado con Azurmendi se queda bastante atrás. We spent a few days in San Sebastian and we were lucky to find a table for dinner on a Saturday evening in this amazing restaurant nearby . Everything was perfect from the begining to the end . The location is simple and with large windows offering a great view . We had a great gastronomic experience and all our senses were invited to feel it . It was an explosion of tastes and textures , surprising us on every step . The olives were incredible and the deserts were perfectly balanced , as after such a long run between the dishes you need something refreshing . The stuff was very attentive to our needs , very polite , extremely well trained . I would recommend such an experience to anyone who can afford it . Compliments to the chef !

I went with a group of 4 people, it was a fantastic experience, food was all delicious and service was great. We did the wine pairings and had 1 wine to 2 courses, they all went really well! Martin came out and spoke to every table which was a lovely touch. You do get what you pay for, we were all completely satisfied and not over full by the end of all the courses... There was the option to eat a la carte but we all went for the tasting menu anyway. The menu was predominantly fish.

Probably the Best restaurant in the world!!! These are just words of a random person. I dedicate my life to food and restaurants. Absolutely obsessed with this chef, who is not only a very very talented professional but an incredibly humble and kind person. The food is absolutely incredible. The flavours are beyond understanding. You can taste love in each bite. This is not a typical Michelin restaurant after which you leave exhausted and hungry. The plates are Big in both size and flavour. The service is impeccable. I would not go to San Sebastian without going to the restaurant.

(Translated by Google) Personalized, professional and non-oppressive treatment, top-quality product and generous portions, impressive wine cellar. The staff are lovely, one of the main assets of the place; Excellent work in the room of Jose and Noelia. Every year we try to go at least once, and it never disappoints, especially with the renovations carried out in recent years in the garden area. Of course, price according to the category. To return, for the kitchen, and for the deal.

(Translated by Google) Triple Garrote said Martín Berasategui, and so it was, three Michelin stars more than deserved. An incredible experience since you arrive and see the mother house, formal and pleasant reception, impeccable service, to be highlighted in the room service to Martín, who explained each dish in detail, with details, how to eat and enjoy it, and most importantly You could tell that he loved his work, it conveyed a lot of joy and a more familiar atmosphere. They adapted the tasting menu to our dietary restrictions without problem and with success. A menu that comes out to the full, and thanks to the great chef, who came out to say hello and ask the tables how everything was. Gastronomy is the host, as each dish goes by, it evolves more and more. You have to go and live it. Thank you and thank you, until next time!

I mean what can I say but that it was great. Not one meal out of place. The fish was on point, as was the meat. What really stood out for me was the consistency. Other high class restaurants I have been to, every meal was also a piece of art no question, but put together they did not make a whole. Here it was like a mosaik of gems. Every one of them is beautiful in its own, but from the distance they form a higher unity. That's the best I can put it. As for the taste. Go there and see for yourself ;)

Second time at a three Michelin restaurant. Comparatively speaking, this restaurant went above and beyond in terms of service and quality. Creativity around flavours and textures made this an incredible experience. Martin also comes out to talk to customers which was a really lovely, personal touch. Would definitely recommend, alongside wine pairing which was also delicious.

Finally made it to this fabulous restaurant! Truly amazing. Tasting menu is extensive and pricey at 275€ per person but worth the splurge. Wine pairing was spot on and well explained. Beautiful presentation and service from very professional team.

👍 Very good. There is a lot of variety, portions, burgers, mixed dishes... And they make them with gluten-free bread. The service is a little slow, they brought us the dishes at different times and we couldn't enjoy eating everything at once. It's the only one but the rest is great.
