Amazing
boutique
hotel
in
Rioja.
Visiting
from
NYC
and
meeting
our
family
for
a
special
family
reunion.
We
were
a
group
of
15
(2
grandparents,
8
adults
and
7
teens/young
adults)
all
traveling
from
different
places
and
spent
3
nights.
We
have
traveled
to
many
small
boutique
hotels
and
can
honestly
say
that
Santa
Maria
Briones
is
a
very
special
place.
If
you
have
the
privilege
of
staying
here
don’t
miss
the
opportunity.
The
service
is
impeccable
and
super
friendly.
The
rooms
are
top
notch
with
great
attention
detail.
The
common
areas
are
best
described
as
understated
elegance,
beautiful
living
room
area
and
the
outdoor
patio
with
its
exposed
ancient
wall
takes
you
back
in
time.
Two
of
the
evenings
we
ended
up
just
hanging
out
drinking
wine,
eating
iberico
ham,
croquetas
and
pan
con
tomate
in
the
patio
area.
If
you
are
like
me
and
like
having
coffee
with
a
view
the
second
floor
terrace
is
a
particularly
serene
place
to
do
that.
We
had
dinner
in
Allegar,
their
restaurant
(separate
review)
and
that
is
not
to
be
missed.
The
restaurant
is
just
1
year
old
and
if
I
had
to
guess
will
eventually
get
a
Michelin
star.
Special
thank
you
to
the
hotel
team
Laura,
Maria,
Olimpia,
Cristian,
Yolanda
and
Raquel
for
making
the
15
of
us
feel
at
home
and
special
thanks
to
Javier
and
Maria,
the
owners
who
were
there
when
stayed,
for
making
it
a
very
special
experience.
