Beautiful rest / camping area with great Internet service being ruined by 4WD's chopping up the riverbank and leaving rubbish laying around. It needs a water supply to camp area however there is an abundance of fresh water from the river. It has a picnic area/ small shelter. A Local shop and pub only 3 minutes back towards Wauchope. A limit of 2 weeks allowed in the camp area. The convenience shop at Long Flat has good supplies. You can fill water containers in Long Flat at the Sports ground . Bring fire wood. Great deep swimming in parts and good fishing in kyacks.

Great camping close to river. Good for swimming. Can be very busy Especially on weekends and school holidays. Has drop toilet which is contract cleaned. No showers as mentioned before but for FREE what do you expect. Need to be self contained.

A great little spot by the Hastings River. About 20mins past Wachope is a small reserve with a drop toilet, picnic benches and plenty of room. It is a very busy popular spot as we arrived to find approx 12 other campers already there. Highly recommend this place and dog friendly. Please note, there is no running water.

Free camp ground, beside Hasting River, about 32 kms from Wauchope. Safe spot for children to swim. Popular ground, possibly fit in at least 20 caravans. Peaceful, pretty, well kept area, with drop toilets, rubbish bins; a credit to local council/community. Bring your own water. The resident turkeys are very entertaining.

Great spot first time I’ve been in can see it’s very popular with caravanners and actual campers just pulled in for lunch break well worth going down walking along the river.

Beautiful little fresh water swimming spot here with 4x4 wheel drive access, we do a little bbq here. Good spot to take kids and dogs. It is a little rocky littered with river stones

Great, free, pet friendly campground with drop toilets and phone reception. Caretakers clean the loos every Tuesday and Friday so they're normally pretty clean (as clean as drop loos can be) and the grass is mown regularly. The bank down at the river has completely changed since the floods came through and the riverside is a little silty, nothing that can't be overcome with a pair of river shoes.

Beautiful. The fact that the camping is free here is fantastic. Loved the creek access and road in. Would love to visit again.

Free camping with toilet facilities. The Long Flat general store is only a short drive away (less than 5 minutes) with ice, hot food, fuel and LPG tanks available.

Pristine free camping spot, located above the beautiful river banks of the Hastings river. Nice, clean quiet...spotless. Have a fire or Barbie on the riverbanks.

Free camping. Hear the Hastings river water whilst you sleep. Such a calming, breath taking place. Functional toilets. You need to be self reliant. Great location for hikes and waterfalls.
