I
just
went
to
try
on
a
pair
of
shoes.
I
waited
around
the
register/doorway
they
get
the
shoes
from
for
a
while.
Then
I
saw
an
employee
at
a
different
register
(still
in
the
shoe
department
)
chatting
with
a
non-employee
(maybe
her
bf,
maybe
just
a
friend).
I
asked
the
young
lady
if
I
could
try
on
my
size
and
she
said
no,
she’s
in
a
different
department
and
turned
her
back
to
chat
with
her
friend.
I
said,
“Excuse
me,
there’s
no
one
here.
Can
you
ask
someone
to
come
over?”
She
pointed
to
the
handbag
department
and
said
“She’s
with
someone
right
now,
but
she’ll
be
back.”
So
I
said,
“So
she’s
in
the
handbag
department
and
there’s
no
one
in
the
shoe
department,
but
you.”
I
was
confused.
Then
2
other
customers
came
and
asked
me
if
there
was
anyone
in
the
shoe
department.
I
said,
“Just
her,
but
apparently
she
can’t
help
because
she’s
in
a
different
department.”
They
said,
“We
don’t
have
time
for
this.”
I
agreed
and
we
all
left.
I
still
don’t
understand
how
an
employee
in
the
shoe
department
can’t
help
with
shoes,
but
I’m
supposed
to
wait
for
the
employee
in
the
handbag
department
to
help
with
shoes.
Too
bad
this
employee
is
wasting
time
and
Macy’s
money
chatting
away
so
Macys
is
losing
business.
I
recommend
hiring
people
who
try
to
be
helpful
and
provide
better
training.
