My wife and daughter have arranged a few birthday parties for our younger son in the ground floor room - quite a lot of effort (and they had help from my daughter's friends) but enjoyed by my son's friends. My wife had her 40th in the upstairs bar (joint with her dad's 65th) a couple of years ago. I've not used it for sports, but as a social venue it can be very good. The play park and field (I've visited them more recently) are great for my son to play whilst my daughter and I walk our dogs.

It's a very nice place, the food from the cafe is good. I do taekwondo there on a friday and the hall is fairly clean but otherwise it's very good and love gig on the green

Great place for all ages. Cafe, and bar, with pizza take away on a Friday evening, brilliant.

I exercise in the large hall which is a depressing sight with awful acoustics - you can't hear the teacher a few metres away. However, the compensation is the cafe where you can get nice coffee and a range of snacks served by some friendly ladies.

Great spot for a bouncy castle party, plenty of space plus bar and coffee shop upstairs!

Unexpected location and description for a leisure centre. Not like your usual in-town facility, which is good. Has a nice bar area opening up to a cricket field with outside tables to watch any sport that might be going on. It has squash courts, too, where I played for the first time. Changing rooms are small and basic, but that's all it needs really. It is a bit cramped for a team match, though.

Barman looked as if he would like to be anywhere else. Bar opens up onto a beautiful green area.

Fine for somewhere to hire as a large space, but toilets were grubby and the walls around the hall need some serious work as paint peeling everywhere.

Seems to offer quite a lot all in one place - kiddies playground and football pitch one side of the memorial hall (with parking), recycling bins, coffee shop, leisure centre (didn't go inside so can't comment), dog walking for ball play then access to the woods, footy pitch is weirdly narrow, hence I saw a lad (Robyn Woodend possibly @lealaura35 ) score direct from a corner for Wyvern.

Brilliant it has a lovely little pub tucked around the back in the sports field. Perfect to enjoy a drink on a sunny afternoon
