My partner and I really enjoyed visiting this upmarket restaurant in Ubud. We were served by Putri who was very friendly and attendant to us throughout our dinner. After sharing a pizza for dinner, we tried the semifreddo and gelato which were delicious. Would recommend this place as a nice date night. We spent 850k for 2 cocktails, 1 entre. 1 pizza and 2 desserts.

BEST pizza that I’ve had in a long time!! Light, perfect amount of crust with a nice balance of crispy and softness. The starters were PERFECT! Wita was our server and was amazing!

Used to be one of my mainstays - but seriously disappointed this first time back since the start of the pandemic. Minestrone vegs were undercooked & too much pesto, parmesan was pre-grated. Pork chop was cooked almost dry - condiments were disappointing vs what the menu says. All 3 steaks were medium even though 2 ordered medium rare (need tough jaws). Service was lacking, reaching over table to serve plates & drinks, sometimes no staff on the floor. Hopefully can step up their game again.

Upscale place with prices to match. The highlight of our visit was the service. Can't fault them on that. The food however is just ok. I understand that it's not easy to have a good Italian place in Ubud when the Italian cuisine is so focused on cheese and cured meats that need to be imported but I was expecting more from a place with prices so above average. 150k for a bread basket and some olive oil? Come on.

Bu Desak Sari and the team deliver love to all the guest from heart, and deff revisit! Another highlight of my recent trip to Bali. We chanced upon Uma Cucina after having a nice massage at Putri Bali Spa which was just across the road. We were attracted by the relaxed and romantic ambience of the restaurant. It was indeed a delightful find. We ordered the Tuna Steak and Shrimp Pizza for the two of us. The Tuna Steak was well seared to a succulent medium rare and nicely seasoned with herbs on the outside. The pizza had a beautiful thin crispy crust and was topped with fresh tomatoes and shrimps. The staff were also very friendly. It was a pleasant dining experience and memorable evening.

We ordered the burrata starter, lamb, and prawn linguine. We recommend ordering the burrata starter - it was perfect! The server told us the lamb and other meats were halal. We were so full when we started our mains that we had to takeaway half of both our meals. Would love to have the opportunity to dine here again, want to try the eggplant parmigiana & sirloin!

The food served for Sunday brunch was just outstanding. Everything but the chicken dish was tasty and incredibly well cooked. We loved the starters and salads and the pastas and pizzas were delicious. My dessert was fantastic too. For the price, and brunch from 11.30 to 3.30, order as much as you want!!, this was worth every penny. So we were absolutely stunned that there wasn’t a single person there other than us!! At 1 pm!! A few families came after us but none had the brunch menu. They ordered a la carte. So strange. So if you’re considering going to this place for brunch I would highly recommend it. It really is value for money and the quality is top notch. It was breezy and the decor was simple and pleasant. Staff were attentive and served us well.

Ordered casserole with them, and the server had no idea it was a very common one, they checked to kitchen and made one for me but the taste was not expected, after asked, they said it was a special request and they never made it, so what i thought was they were not experienced enough. Place is nice, server was nice but not sensitive enough and couldn't make me feel like I have found something I wanted, don't think will go there again

We were greeted and taken to our table which we chose.Menu had a good selection and was well balanced. We order several dishes to share and all of them were very tasty and well presented. The arancini balls were my favorite.

Great ambience, the band selected the songs perfectly and the food tasted okay. I ordered Risotto and the pizza, not the best one yet not the worst though. And unfortunately they didn’t have Tabasco. As for the Negroni, they didn’t balance the alcohol, hence it tasted too strong for me. But I still like the ambiance. Good place to hangout with friends.

Sometimes in Bali you feel the need for a change from chicken and rice - or rice with chicken. In the past though I've found some of the Western options to be NQR. Here at Uma Cucina, the Italianess of everything was spot on. We went twice and enjoyed the food and professionalism of the staff immensely. Great ambience too with a stylish bar. Of course wine is on the pricey side being in Bali but they have some decent options by the glass and a local white, the name of which escapes me ... which was actually very good. All round a great experience.

Would recommend the squid ink pasta and sea bass for sure! We also tried the sirloin steak 300k, and it was so-so. To be fair it wasn’t recommended :P Dessert we had tiramisu 60k which I definitely recommend u try!! It is authentic Italian and melts in your mouth. We also tried the white chocolate cake 60k which was not too bad as it had mango slices and passion fruit purée to match. Would surely recommend this place!

While we were here we overheard and witnessed another customer (who has also posted a 1 star review today) absolutely berating multiple staff for his perceived inadequacies of their service. A poor younger waitress copped it for not serving him water fast enough!! It was horrible and disgusting to witness. If the staff read this you are doing an amazing job and we will definitely be back :)
