Exceptional accommodation and service from the staff. We were warmly greeted and taken on a full tour of the guest house. The staff were friendly, helpful and extremely welcoming which created a cozy and homey atmosphere. The room was very spacious with an elegant, modern finish. There's a wide selection of delicious breakfast options and smoothies which can be made on request.

Hyde park is an amazing guest house, super classic with a lot of fun,, i remember the minute I entered the room I found a picture on the wall written "if you are not breaking the rules you are not having" that quote got me laughing. They provide the best service with a full English breakfast. I literally have no reason not to go back and you have no reason not to try it out

From the minute I was at the gate you could see that this place is the best, it deserves the 5 stars. Alfreda was very accomodating always checking if we are fine we don't need anything and the breakfast we got it is for kings, I had an awesome stay no complains. Thank you Alfreda, Sibusiso, Vincent and the rest of the staff much appreciated.

Amazing service, food and accommodation.

This is a lovely venue. The bed is big and comfortable. The rooms pleasant. The down sides for me were a constant light under an inter an interleading door and lights outside meaning I was not sleeping in a dark room. It was like twilight. Grrr. The ironing board was some silly half contraption. I ended up having to iron on it whilst balancing it on the bed. Not ideal as it was unstable. No free water as promised the second day. The damn nespresso machine would not turn on when I really wanted a coffee. Not great. Breakfast was lovely. The gentleman who greeted me at the gate was very helpful.

Best accommodation in jhb

My sister and I had the best stay at Hyde Park Guest House. The food was great and there’s a large variety to choose from each morning which we loved, the rooms are gorgeous and we enjoyed the swimming pool too. Hyde Park is located in a great and safe area in Sandton. Thank you Elfreda and team for accommodating us!

I stayed at this property while on a business visit to JHB. The property is located in a quaint upmarket neighborhood, yet very close to the Sandton/Bryanston business district. Everything, right from the room to the food to the host was impeccable. I would definitely consider staying here again, and would recommend it to business as well as leisure travellers.

Elfreda is the greatest host. She always went all out to accommodate myself and my Hubby. The food was amazing with a variety of options to choose from. Also liked the fact that we had a heater in our room it was extremely freezing. The ladies in the kitchen always greeted us a smile, oh and the amazing Sibusiso🙌. The owners of this place really invested a lot in their staff. Totally recommend the place!

My stay here was fine. Breakfast is good and staff is great. The rooms need a bit of work in that ther USB ports didn't work and there are not enough power sockets. Extension leads are provided but its not great.

Wonderful!! Comfortable, quiet, safe, staff were amazing!! Elfreda let us check in early, she helped me call the Botswana embassy, Sibs drove me to the bank, the shop, and to lunch. They also provide airport transfer! Complimentary Nespresso machine in room, Brandy too. Hyde Park Guest House is the perfect place for a night or two in Johannesburg.
