There were many patrons in the store, however several workers had an increase desire to constantly watch what my friend and I were doing. I'm not sure why this was the case since there was no suspicious activity on our part. This isn't the first time this has happened to me when visiting this store, and it creates a poor shopping experience. I won't be back to this location.

I'm guessing they're very sexist or have something against straight black men. Went in to make a purchase and no one even acknowledged my presence. Walked by a group of 3 ladies at the door as I was leaving but no one said a thing to me. Yet when a couple of black women walked in they were promptly greeted and asked if they needed help. So I'm not spending my money where I'm not liked

I had a very poor customer experience here which seems to be a common theme at this store. My mom and I were looking for Xmas gifts and browsing through different colors of gloss products when a lady came over and snatched the product out of our hands and rudely asked ‘why are you opening the boxes?’ I told her we’re looking at the exterior of the gloss to see the color as there wasn’t a sample available - not opening or using the product itself. She didn’t try to explain their policy or help us get the color we wanted and just walked away. I passed along this experience to the woman at the register when we went on to purchase that same gloss, in hopes they will improve their customer experience. There was another woman who was very helpful in the beginning when we entered the store and greeted us, but the other experienced left us wondering is this how shopping in person is now?

I visited this Cumberland mall location to test some new perfumes I’m interested in purchasing. I was surprised to see that over half of the testers were completely empty. Like not a drop of perfume. The sales associates were nice, but why keep asking me if I need help finding anything if you don’t have any testers available? This entire mall is going downhill, but Sephora is usually top notch. Not anymore.

I remember this location used to be great on customer service and help but when they don't feel like dealing with a customer it shows. I literally asked about two fragrances and was just pointed to a wall of empty perfumes. When I asked if they were completely sold out I was told they were not and seeing 90% of fragrances and they're stock was completely empty. I asked again and was reassured they had whatever I needed and I was left still looking at empty stock drawers and empty shelves. They just ignore people when they walk inand don't even think of helping when asked. They seem as if they don't want to be bothered. They talk amongst themselves when confused customers try to ask questions and roll there eyes when you walk away.

I made an appointment for a skincare consultation for my daughter, who is a pre-teen anxious to wear make up. Victor was our consultant and he did an amazing job explaining the importance of daily skincare, finding the right products for her skin type, and giving her application tips for best results. Mom and daughter left happy and enlightened…and my daughter’s face was absolutely glowing! Thank you Victor for a wonderful experience!

I stopped in because I purchased foundation and the bottle turned out to be defective. I had purchased it at another location but since I was in the area and had it in the car I decided to exchange it here. I figured I’d get a hard time because it was outside of the 30day time frame. I explained the situation and they were more than happy to exchange the item. Very polite and even explain to me that the particular brand had recently done some repackaging which may be the cause of the defective bottle I received. I’m very appreciative of the service I received. I even purchased another item I was looking for on my way out. Very good experience for me as a person who’s really kinda intimidated by makeup to begin with!

Best experience I’ve ever had today! Jessy helped me to find every product I needed and went above and beyond to look for products in shipment boxes and the back room if a product wasn’t on display. She was so nice and nonjudgmental which is such a breath of fresh air in my experience when dealing with Sephora employees. she walked me through every step of my skincare, prep, and makeup routine and gave me amazing tips and recommendations. Nikki at the checkout counter was so amazing! She had such a beautiful soul and she gave me amazing recommendations for primers! The only bad thing I will say is that the “skincare advisor” (tan skin, glasses, black curly hair, older) was so rude and dismissive. I asked her for a hair product and she literally pointed to a wall and walked away. When I asked the second time after she walked away for the heat protectant I need she said “that’s the only products we have” and walked away again which is so annoying as I spent well over $500 today, thank you Jessy for actually checking the stock and helping me find my product. In Nene Leakes voice, the “skincare advisor” was “so nasty and so rude” Jessy & Nikki, keep being gorgeous ladies!

This location is always out of product and staff is not the friendliest. I only visit on occasions I have to otherwise I prefer the Sephora in Buckhead or at Ponce City Market. Also, they don't carry the better brands of makeup

They were so helpful. Took the time to answer all my questions and checked back in to make sure I was satisfied before I even headed out.

Like all other women, I love Sephora. What I don’t like is people that don’t know the meaning of customer service. Milan and Becca can benefit from some additional training around customer service and providing a welcoming environment. Seems like they hate their job.

Terrible experience. Made an online order only for it to be cancelled stating that it was out of stock. Went into the store anyway same day and there were 2 of the items in stock. Lazy store associates. I had to wait in line to pay for wage I preordered anyway. What a waste of valuable time

The makeup artist/consultant was so kind and patient with my wife. My wife is new to America and speaks slowly and somewhat shy. The consultant adjusted to this and showed so much compassion and understanding. This is truly what above and beyond customer service is all about. The consultant was from New York. Promote this one!

It’s not uncommon to look around a store for something you’re looking for & you somehow overlook it. I asked for help from an employee (light skin male working Monday May 29th around 4pm) and got nothing but attitude & sarcasm! I never understood working in customer service if you don’t have the right attitude for it or enjoy it to say the least! I’ll continue to shop from home so I don’t have to deal with stuff like this or I’ll go to another location. If you don’t like your job QUIT!!!!!!!

Cherisse is the best! My fellow Brooklyn, NY native held me down today and helped me find the perfect foundation and powder match. Make sure you ask for her if you need help, she will take good care of you!

I recently visited Sephora with my fiancé, and I have to say, we had an incredible experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and even offered to provide free makeup services for my fiancé. The makeup artist was knowledgeable and skilled, and listened carefully to my fiancé's preferences and concerns. She helped her choose the perfect products for her skin type and complexion, and applied them beautifully to create a stunning look. Throughout the process, the makeup artist provided helpful tips and advice, and was happy to answer any questions we had. She also provided product recommendations for my fiancé to use at home, which we greatly appreciated. Overall, we were blown away by the level of service we received at Sephora. The free makeup services were an unexpected and wonderful bonus, and we both felt pampered and cared for throughout the experience. We left feeling confident and beautiful, and couldn't have been happier with the outcome. I would highly recommend Sephora to anyone looking for high-quality beauty products and exceptional customer service. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to go above and beyond to help customers. Thank you, Sephora, for such a wonderful experience!

Went to pick up a order from door dash and the employee told me to wait in line for packages. Usually they just help me get the packages in a timely manner....but not today.

You have to ask yourself if the people who work there no longer have any nose hair or sense of smell. If you have allergies…You might want to skip this one! I’ve been in two different Sephora stores in two different states in the past week. The store in Atlanta was busy. I was completely ignored while I was doing everything I could do to stop my nose and eyes from running. No one said a word, like “someone will be with you shortly.” I wasn’t familiar with this store’s layout so it took me a minute to find what I was looking for, and while I was rooting through the bottles of foundation, I came to an enlightened conclusion. Going forward, I’ll just order online.

Iris was amazing great customer service. I can count how many times team members have come up to me to ask if I needed help and I have been a customer for years! Extremely helpful. Thank you girl!

Had a great experience with Milan (I hope I didn’t spell that wrong lol). She helped me choose a foundation, concealer, blush, and powder. She was very attentive and made sure everything matched my skin tone. I will definitely be back for more recommendations.

Customer service in front was bad. Waiting at the register as soon the store opens. No apology for a 15 minute wait. No greeting, no thank you for your purchase. Only extra large bags for a small item.

I stopped by sephora with the goal to find vegan and cruelty free make up & had the pleasure of being helped by Chanel C. Not only did Chanel help me find the perfect color matches that I needed (for foundation and concealer) but she gave me an amazing skin care demo & introduced me to some new products that I ended up falling in love with. Chanel was knowledgeable, personable, efficient, she took care of every single one of my needs and requests and really listened to me. We even had a great convo while she was doing my demo that made me feel so SEEN! I left with a whole set of new vegan and cruelty free products and she even reintroduced me to the sephora brand of make up which she taught me is now VEGAN and cruelty free!!!!! I left Sephora feeling soooooo good about myself and even received a compliment on my glow. All thanks to Chanel C. for her time, patience, care and overall help. If you're ever in the cumberland mall sephora and are looking for an amazing experience, definitely ask for Chanel!!!! I'd also like to give a shoutout to CeeCee who helped me find a Milk Primer that I thought was sold out!!! She was so kind and had a lovely energy as well.

Rocky and Vanessa were so helpful and kind and cute while doing it! They made us feel so welcome and no pressure on products or anything. Vanessa talked to my niece about appropriate skincare and not just encouraging her to cover up with concealer. Had a great experience. Thanks!

I went it to accompany my sister so that she could get color matched, but I ended up getting matched as well. It took a sec because they were busy, but the attendant matched us both perfectly to foundations that fit our skin type and tone. Couldn't be more satisfied!

I just left the store a few minutes ago. No one greeted me, spoke toe, handed me a basket when I had prodin my hands. Nothing. The only person to say anything was a young man with locs who appeared to be working in fragrance. I was really needed to re-up on everything and they ruined my whole experience. I'll just shop online.

I had one of the worst customer experiences, I went there to buy and also return few products that dint work for me. The lady at the counter was very rude and has least customer facing manners. She seemed very frustrated right from the beginning of billing process…she had no proper knowledge on return of items and how to explain that to a customer. I even mentioned to do what best works for her and even after that she had a very rude tone and was trying to put up a fight with me. I dint note her name to tag here. Manager was right next to the counter so I am sure he would know whom I am talking about.Hope some measures would be taken here. Although I would like to mention that Cee Cee helped me with picking products, she was sweet and patient.

I always have a great experience but today was wonderful! My 14yr old daughter wanted to dabble in makeup. Nicki assisted us and was very informative. She made sure to recommend cheaper products keeping in my my daughters age. We then met up with Jackie in skin care. Can I say amazing!?!? She treated us like family! She instilled confidence and accountability in my daughter. I have no problem spending money where I’m treated well!!! They together pulled at my wallet and I walked away feeling great!

this is the only location in metro atlanta worth visiting! the employees are very consistent. always very personable and helpful. It’s no secret that Sephora is expensive yet I never regret spending my money at this location due to the exceptional customer service.

I booked a 60 minute makeup makeover for today. It was easy for me to schedule and book online. This is my first time wearing makeup and I am 37 years old. The reason why I decided to get this done for two reasons I am no longer working at warehouses so there is no need for me not wear something on my face to make myself look pretty. Second, I am starting a work from home job and I like to look presentable on these live webcam sessions. This is my first experience going in a retail makeup store to get this makeover done. I was nervous of how this experience would be. I was blessed to have someone professional, kind, and polite. I was introduced to man by the name Nigel Woods. When he greeted with a warm voice he made feel this was going to be easy smooth process. He was doing all of the hygienic policies they had to follow at Sephora. He showed me how to apply toner and makeup remover on my face before I apply my makeup. He showed step by step how to apply my foundation and concealer together on my T- zone area. He showed how to use brow gel and brush my eyebrows to make them bold. He showed me what different shades to blend together when it comes to my eyeshadow. Last, he showed how to apply setting powder and bronzer to my face to give my face that glow. He added a primer spray to finish my look. I was very happy with my final appearance and satisfied with his work. I highly recommend anyone who wants a face makeover at Sephora at Cumberland Mall and they want it to look a professional makeover ( like those celebrities or Hollywood folks) go to NIGEL WOODS.He will get looking good. Now I know what my foundation shade is when it comes Urban Decay cosmetics and shade for concealer in Kosas cosmetics. Thanks to the woman I met at the counter when I walked in who greeted me too.

Niko was great! Wasn’t forceful, had a GREAT attitude. I would come back literally just to be serviced by him again. The store is clean and had what I needed so again, very pleased with my experience.
