Visited for my husband's birthday this year and had a fantastic experience! The restaurant does a tasting menu and also offers a wine paring which we decided to do this time. Honestly everything was fantastic. The food was delicious, the wine pairings were wonderful and well thought through and the staff were amazing! We had a wonderful experience. The menu changes regularly so if you want to revisit you will have a slightly different but still brilliant experience! I recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is not walk in style. The restaurant is perfect for a special occasion, to treat yourself or as an excuse to get a bit dressed up with some friends! Highly recommend!

If you are a restaurant that offers a vegetarian menu, one would believe that you would get an experience matching that of the original. This is not the case at Mr. Fox. Although the three 'snack' courses had alternatives swapped around in them versus the original menu, the starter & main courses quite simply just removed the main component of the dish or gave a very poor substitute (Langoustine from the avocado dish, swapping Halibut for several miniature potato dumplings in the second dish, and subbing the lamb from the meat course by just adding a second courgette flower). Spending the same price (€83) on an alternative menu offering that just takes away what I assume are key elements to the dish, or replacing those elements with an alternative that adds nothing is a giant misfire on what was a very pleasurable evening. We only discovered after dinner that this is how Mr. Fox curates their vegetarian menu as they had given us the regular set menu with supplier information at the end of the meal, as they appear to do for all guests. Our server, Natalia, was fantastic. Friendly, knowledgeable, and recommending different wines and changing it on the fly, depending on what we were about to have. We felt very well looked after for the evening. The decor and ambience were comfortable, and the restaurant was impeccably clean. The lighting was a little bright and harsh. The buzz in the restaurant was great, and the table we were at was large and comfortable with ample space between guests. Desserts were 10/10. Absolutely delicious. We would go back purely for the experience and service, but we only hope they step up the offering or reduce the cost accordingly for vegetarian diners.

I love the chicken wing and soup there. 🤣 All the courses r amazing, but i had a very strong impression with the small/tiny chicken wing. Eat a lot of sourdough with the sauce. it is such a good value. only €70, but with such a good taste and service. The decoration is quite interesting, a lot of fox paintings inside. Hope they can change menu, wanna try it again.

Loved our experience!! Adorable almost speakeasy setting. Professional but welcoming and warm servers. Attractive and clean. Dining an elegant flow of excellently prepared delectable bites. Wine pairing perfect. Price extraordinarily reasonable. Didn't know we'd have prix fixe dinner coming in but Loved it!!! Allow 2 1/2 hours. Bring on the 🤩 stars

We came to Dublin for a weekend away and this was the biggest highlight of our time there. Everything was cooked to perfection and we came out feeling very satisfied after the 6 course tasting experience. Everything was presented so beautifully and the flavours were out of this world. I like how adventurous the menu was, from Eele to Guinea Hen and Carpaccio. The cocktails were very tasty (although I wish they were bigger!).the service was friendly and I could tell they were all working hard to excel the superb food and dining ambience.

Great restaurant, quick and attentive service and nice breaks in between courses to let the food settle. Really nice and cosey atomsphere and amazing food, the summer menu was really fresh and vibrant. Toilets were clean even during prime dining hours and the staff were friendly and fun, would definitely go back

Amazing place in the Dublin city center, having already the fork and the plate, but it deserves the Michelin star. The prestaurant is starting with professional and friendly staff, always ready to help - ending with exquisite food. 👌 We had the course meal of the evening, each dish was amazing, the taste can't be described in words, you must try it. Don't miss the opportunity to visit this restaurant, the experience will be remembered for a long time.

Another fabulous experience in Mr Fox. The staff are fabulous and accommodating from the moment you walk in the door. Myself and four of my friends went and were looked after so well! The May menu was my favourite one so far. My highlights were short rib with the little potatoes was divine and all starters. The sourdough with the cep butter the essential constant! Can’t wait for my next visit!

Despite the green curry being too spicy for a tasting menu, the food was amazing. Different textures, flavors, and colors. The three-hour dinner was a bit lengthy but we thoroughly enjoyed each and every course. I I highly recommend this place.

A group of us went here to celebrate my brother's belated 40th at the weekend. It was absolutely faultless, the food was sublime and the wine pairings complimented each dish spectacularly. The staff were brilliant, and clearly explained each dish and the wine pairings. We had a fabulous evening and would highly recommend for a special occasion (or any occasion really!). Will definitely be back!

Firstly, can I say that I really regret giving five stars in previous reviews as nothing I've ever eaten has compared to the food in Mr Fox. In fact, maybe Google might unlock a 6 star review option for special places. Mr Fox is certainly worthy of it. So to start, can I say that I hate fish. I've never liked it. Or so I thought. I had 3 courses of fish. It wasn't forced but I really wanted to broaden my mind and really enjoy the Mr Fox experience. Suffice to say that I can see fish dishes being a feature of future posts and reviews. From the moment we crossed the door until we climbed the stairs back up onto Parnell Square after our meal, the service was incredible. Not pushy or pretentious, just warm, friendly and attentive. The server spent plenty of time explaining the dishes that were coming. I honestly couldn't fault anything. I've never been to a Michelin Star restaurant but can see Mr Fox featuring in the very near future. Our visit was a very special occasion and Mr Fox made it all the more special. It'll take me a long time to forget that food!!

Background A Michelin guide restaurant in town that was highly recommended. It is a fusion of Irish and French cuisine. Ambience Located at the basement of a red-brick terrace house. There were 2 doors, one for entry and the other for exit, which I obviously do not follow. The interior was charming. Service The host was nice and friendly. We were explained the menu and was attended attentively. Food The food was superb. I enjoyed the bread and entree to the dessert. Overall A must visit if you are in town.

Loved everything about this place! The food was amazing and the wine pairings were perfectly matched. I was particularly impressed by the friendly service and the customisation of the menu in occasion of my birthday. I would definitely go back!

Tasty, good quality food, however feels quite overpriced. It wouldn’t if the atmosphere was more curated. First we came in slightly too early and we heard we couldn’t have a cocktail at the bar as it was a private reception hosted there. This was very disappointing as the weather was awful and the nearest bar to sit and have a drink is on the Parnell Street, which is a different level of experience than what we’ve geared up for the evening (including anniversary celebrations). It seems that service was attentive only when certain people were around. Overall we enjoyed the food and each other company… but probably we won’t be back.

One of the nicest restaurants I’ve been to in Dublin. Everything was fantastic. They take their food seriously and the staff were attentive and sound. It’s a decent size so would suit larger groups too. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Overall, the food was good (I probably enjoyed the desserts the most) and I think the price is reasonable compared to the cost of many other "upscale" dining experiences. That said, nothing was super "memorable" and we regularly forgot about this place when telling people about our best dining experiences. The tasting menu, while made up of tasty dishes, wasn't extremely cohesive and maybe lacked a fun/interesting quality that would have made the experience more memorable. The service was good but the overall energy was strange and confusing (it seems like they want to be a "fun" place based on some of the wall decoration, the name/logo, etc... but the music and energy felt designed for an older crowd that wanted a more traditional fine dining experience).

If you’re looking for somewhere to have a unique gastronomic experience, Mr Fox is the place to be in Dublin. On the pricey side but I would say for a special occasion, this is money well spent, a Michelin star must be on the cards for this place. Would recommend the wine pairing for the full experience. Faultless!

I came here for my friend's birthday. This is a great spot for fine dining and tasting a little bit of a lot. The chicken was my favourite dish here as it was so juicy. One of the desserts was very interesting, reminds me of the Mikado biscuits we had as kids. Nice atmosphere here and quite chilled out. Staff were very nice and attentive.

This hidden gem in Dublin 1 takes you on a tasty excursion mixing regional treats with a touch of french and asian standards. There is one extensive tasting menu which can be adjusted as per dietary requirements. All the dishes were beautifully presented and had fine textures + well balanced taste notes. Highlights were the tuna starter and the bits served as appetizers (skewers, fish tartelettes). Desserts also had great taste all in all were a bit too much (5 desserts - wow). Wine list is small but has some really beautiful options - check out the 1er cru White burgundy. One big minus of this restaurant is the fact that the atmosphere is stressy. Ultra noisy and bad lights atmosphere - tip: invest in some more fabrics to have better acoustics - insulation really is on the negative and ensure the lights are more dim. Very friendly staff that looks after you.

Lovely resstaurant with an amazing top class friendly and professional service! The staff would explain each dish as they serve us the food. The time they deliver each course to our table was quick! You can really taste the freshness of their seafood. Exceptionally good deal and price for a tasting menu. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Always amazing. The staff are fabulous and friendly. Place has lovely decor and nice use of the space. The little bar when you arrive is nice, to relax you into your meal. Food is Michelin standard, I'd say they are very close to a star. Love the mix of their classics along with new changing menu items.

Such a good moment. Large cosy place, very good services. The unique menu changes every month, and for 65€ you have a wonderful 6 services menu. Appetizers, fish, meat and desserts. That s really fresh generous and well cooked. Perfect

It's the 3rd or 4th time I'm here and I can say I'm never disappointed. The staff is so attentive and friendly, the presentation of the dishes so carefully made and of course the food itself is delightful, so many delicious flavors. The home made bread should have it's own mention as it might be the most tasty, fresh bread I've had on the island, with an unbelievable butter. My favorite course this month (November 2021 calendar) was the halibut. For dessert, even though I'm normally big into the citrus desserts, their clementine vanilla was heavenly! The beautiful champagne was a surprise gift from a fine gentleman to my friend for her birthday. He called reception and had to explain the situation because he doesn't know me and the table was under my name. Kudos to Natalia, our lovely server who found out about the plot! Thank you Mr. Fox, for a beautiful evening!🦊❤

Very nice experience, it would be nice with a few more choices of wine by the glass options, but we had a nice bottle of red suggested by the service team.

That was a first restaurant we went after a long lockdown in Ireland. It was a wonderful experience: all 11 courses from the evening menu were amazingly delicious. The wine selection is also good and pairs well with every dish. 5 out 5: book the table and visit Mr Fox🦊. You won't be disappointed 🙂🥂

We loved the set menu (59 euro). Fantastic selection of interesting and delicious snacks, mains and desserts. The lamb and accompanying sweetbreads was amongst the best I've ever eaten.

Amazing food with a well thought out seasonal menu. We have eaten in so many fine dining places but we have to say Mr. fox is right up there with the best of them. Won't forget to mention the lovely staff who were impeccable and adhering to all Covid protocol. Will be back!

One of the best food experience that I've ever had. Cozy location and and outstanding menu. If you happen to be in Dublin, this is the best place to have dinner.

Absolutely incredible food and service. They have a wonderful back garden area with fantastic seating which is primarily covered from the rain. Everyone from the front of house staff to the management made the experience excellent. As for the back of house - the food was exceptional, as the pictures will surely attest. Solid aperitif list, solid sweet wines and sherries list - missing a PX which I think would have made for an excellent last sip to end the night, a menial recommendation for the menu - because everything was perfect.

Absolutely amazing experience tonight at Mr Fox. We didn’t know what to expect and it’s safe to say that we were blown away by the excellent quality of the food and the friendly staff. Each dish was a roll coaster of different flavours and textures, each one better than the last. Can’t wait to go back next month when the new menu comes out. Highly recommended. It’s very good value for money.
