If
you
are
a
restaurant
that
offers
a
vegetarian
menu,
one
would
believe
that
you
would
get
an
experience
matching
that
of
the
original.
This
is
not
the
case
at
Mr.
Fox.
Although
the
three
'snack'
courses
had
alternatives
swapped
around
in
them
versus
the
original
menu,
the
starter
&
main
courses
quite
simply
just
removed
the
main
component
of
the
dish
or
gave
a
very
poor
substitute
(Langoustine
from
the
avocado
dish,
swapping
Halibut
for
several
miniature
potato
dumplings
in
the
second
dish,
and
subbing
the
lamb
from
the
meat
course
by
just
adding
a
second
courgette
flower).
Spending
the
same
price
(€83)
on
an
alternative
menu
offering
that
just
takes
away
what
I
assume
are
key
elements
to
the
dish,
or
replacing
those
elements
with
an
alternative
that
adds
nothing
is
a
giant
misfire
on
what
was
a
very
pleasurable
evening.
We
only
discovered
after
dinner
that
this
is
how
Mr.
Fox
curates
their
vegetarian
menu
as
they
had
given
us
the
regular
set
menu
with
supplier
information
at
the
end
of
the
meal,
as
they
appear
to
do
for
all
guests.
Our
server,
Natalia,
was
fantastic.
Friendly,
knowledgeable,
and
recommending
different
wines
and
changing
it
on
the
fly,
depending
on
what
we
were
about
to
have.
We
felt
very
well
looked
after
for
the
evening.
The
decor
and
ambience
were
comfortable,
and
the
restaurant
was
impeccably
clean.
The
lighting
was
a
little
bright
and
harsh.
The
buzz
in
the
restaurant
was
great,
and
the
table
we
were
at
was
large
and
comfortable
with
ample
space
between
guests.
Desserts
were
10/10.
Absolutely
delicious.
We
would
go
back
purely
for
the
experience
and
service,
but
we
only
hope
they
step
up
the
offering
or
reduce
the
cost
accordingly
for
vegetarian
diners.
