Your average local Italian food. The sangria was very, very sweet (granted the waitress warned us, but it tasted like simple syrup in a glass with a drop of wine— wouldn’t quite recommend). The appetizers were good, with the mozzarella sticks being quite flaky and crunchy, and the calamari was cooked well. For my entree, I got the penne with chicken and broccoli, except I did it with Alfredo sauce (which was a $3 up charge). So the food is a bit expensive, especially if you decide to customize a little. However, it was good, just very oily and very heavy. My family got chicken parmesan and the cheese ravioli as well, and said it wasn’t too bad. Overall, not terrible food, but probably won’t be returning.

I fell in love again. Came in alone at 7:30pm on a Friday and sat at the bar. I got to see the staff in action - friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and very effective. Nikita and Lina took great care of me. And Stefano came by to tell me he was born in that sauce - Marsala (Italy). Crisp, fresh house salad with house vinaigrette, bread and pesto. And a platter of Chicken Marsala with a side of (real) House Vegetables. Quality was spot on at a very busy time. Love it. I'm coming back with friends soon.

Why haven’t I heard about this place is dumbfounding! Well I’m glad a colleague told me about this hole in the wall restaurant. Locally and family owned place as I was told. We came here as we celebrated my son’s achievement in school. Place was packed. You wouldn’t even notice that from looking outside. Staff was very friendly, food was well made. I really liked the margherita flatbread. The pasta was good as well. Come and support this business. It’s worth the trip.

This was a great meal from start to finish. We were greeted and seated promptly by the hostess. A server immediately served bread and obtained our drink order. Everything was very good, but the bread and Pesto dip really stood out as something memorable. The amazing service continued up to and including a friendly thank you as we were leaving. We will definitely be back.

Many of my neighbors on Next Door recommend this place. Absolutely delicious! I had a special called Chicken Sinatra and hubby had a tortellini dish. Garlic lovers, don't miss the bread dipping sauce!😋

Would go back just for the complimentary bread and pesto. Food is pretty good and would suggest going during lunch since prices are more reasonable than dinner. They do not have pizza options, expect a wait at certain times, and the AC was broken which turned us away once.

If you've never had a long awaited hug from your Nonna that's what this place is. 10/10 Our server Bri was so attentive, gave recommendations, and made us feel like we were regulars on our first visit. Place was packed on a Thursday night. The portions are large, the food had love in it. We started with caprese (huge ripe tomatoes and perfect drizzle), calamari with great marinara. Chicken marsala so good you want to lick the plate. Cabonara was rich and delicious. The pasta was perfectly al dente. CARROT CAKE and bread to go for tomorrow. The pesto spread is already calling me back.

This is simply an AMAZING place!!! Wow.. of course there will most likely be a wait, but wellll worth it. Seems like everyone knows the family owners. Stephano, the father, is out walking the floor just like the old days... Lenny the chef in the kitchen and Nonna (hope I got that right) the mother at the hostess stand greeting happy customers! Excellent!!! The food!!!? Outstanding and plenty to bring home for tomorrow.

While I was waiting for my windshield repair, this little hidden gem was the only restaurant in the plaza. The area is a bit forgotten here in Altamonte. If I wasn’t told it was here, I would have missed it. I was greeted with a warm and truly inviting welcome. The layout has cute booths , a counter for eating as well as many tables. They open at 11:30 for lunch, and was already quite busy. The entire staff is welcoming, smiling and happy to see you. My server was Nikita, she was fabulous. Attentive and helpful to guide me in choices that I asked about. They stayed out with a perfect crusted bread and a pesto dip says that is absolutely to die for! I ordered the Greek salad with grilled chicken , wow! The portion was enormous, and absolutely fresh! The chicken was spectacular and so well marinated seasoned. And the prices , absolutely in budget! If you are ever in this area, check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Mom and I went after one of her coworkers recommended the place, and it did NOT disappoint. I've been looking for a place that makes gnocchi as good as I used to have in new jersey. We had a full course meal, the bread and homemade pesto was phenomenal, the salad with the house dressing that was so good, I had the gnocchi mom had bolognese, for dessert we had the chocolate cake and tiramisu, all of itnwas delicious. The staff was amazing our waiter was super friendly, while we ate we had several people who I'm guessing are the owners come by and chat, everything was just great, we enjoyed every bit of it and will be back for sure.

Glad I visited this restaurant. I sat at the bar and Autumn was my server. She was awesome and I loved that she engaged a conversation with me since I'm traveling and eating alone. H Autumn!!!I She spaced out my food so I won't be eating everything at once. Food: Delicious Bread Fried Calamari Glass of Cabernet Carbonara The food was all amazingly delicious and cooked to my liking. The Carbonara was creamy and I loved the pancetta. Overall, a great restaurant to dine at.

Another delicious meal that didn’t disappoint where you’re treated like family!! The owners and staff offer excellent food and service!! The made-in-house pesto is incredible! The bruschetta is the best you’ll ever taste! The Italian Wedding Soup is perfect! And the Chicken Marsala served over penne is divine! Everything always tastes wonderful!!

As always, the food was AMAZING! It was packed. I was alone and had to wait about 20 minutes. The only thing I didn’t like was that because I was alone, they made me sit at the bar instead of using a table. I don’t like sitting at bars or in high top chairs, but I survived. The owner, Stefano, was there and came to check on me several times at the bar. He also talked a lot to the first time customers who sat down next to me. He is super friendly!

Alicia and I celebrated our extended birthday celebration at Nonno’s Italian Restaurant, voted “best Italian Restaurant in Central Florida” in 2023. Taste wise, Nonno’s deserves the vote. We ordered their Maria “Style” and their Linguini Con Cozze, both cooked to our complete satisfaction. For dessert, we had cannoli, one of the two items in the dessert menu that’s homemade according to our delightful waitress. Highly recommended!

One word describes our evening at Nonno's, magnificent. My friend and I were looking for an Orlando gem and we found the perfect place. The food was deliciously made with love and care. Every bite was so flavorful. We both sat there savoring our food. We began with the bread and pesto. The pesto was so good we even dipped our calamari in it. Our entrees were Fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp and Lasagna. The flavors were soooo good. You could tell that fresh ingredients were used in the dishes. I cannot say enough how much we loved our food. The owner came to our table several times. He was so warm and welcoming. A perfect compliment to our meal. Definitely put Nonno's on your list.

The menu is a delightful journey through Italy, with each dish bursting with authentic flavors. The warm and inviting ambiance makes it perfect for a cozy evening out. The staff's attentiveness and the generous portions make Nonno's a top choice for Italian cuisine in Orlando. We'll definitely be returning for more!"

I can’t say enough! This place is a gem. Their food and service is impeccable. We enjoyed everything from the bread and pesto, bruschetta, minestrone soup was so good, their chicken Marsala and chicken piccata was beyond delicious. Then their homemade tiramisu…I can go on and on! The owner walks around and makes sure you enjoy your food. That’s pride in what he does. Our first time and won’t be the last!

Fantastic homemade pesto and bread. By far, the highlight of the night!! The pesto that dreams are made of. It was garlicky, buttery, creamy, just fantastic!!! And it just melted into the warm, freshly baked bread, which was perfectly crispy on the outside and warm and soft in the inside. The food was decent, but the bread and pesto was definitely the stand out. Pictured is my veal "Maria style" which includes prosciutto and mozzarella. Very tasty but a bit over salted.

The food here is INCREDIBLE! My family makes a lot of Italian food from scratch and it was like being at my parent’s house (sorry dad ❤️) the Carbonara and chicken Marsala were to die for! The pasta was cooked to perfection a, sauces were spot on, and the pesto that came with the bread? I’m going to regret not somehow getting that recipe. Kimberly was the best waitress, so peppy, on the ball, and perfect at embarrassing my cousin for her birthday 😂❤️ I cannot wait to come back to Florida again for this place!

Best Italian I think I have EVER had. Came here on a whim. Had never been before. Was absolutely blown away by the quality of the food. Came here at dinner time on a Saturday and they were very busy with an hour wait. IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. Our hostess was very kind and attentive. The restaurant was small and cozy but clean and orderly. Jam packed. Which I don't mind, it's a great sign, you never want to eat at an empty restaurant it's empty for a reason. The bread was hot and fresh. And the pesto like sauce it was served with was phenomenal. Just bread and sauce blew you away? Yes. The sauce had such a bold flavor I kept going back for more. But I didn't want to fill up on bread. The special for the day was Salmon Limone, so I got that. Chicken marsala. And Eggplant parmesan. I judge a good Italian place by their eggplant Parm, and my god for 15 bucks I got not one. Not two! But THREE hefty! Cuts of eggplant Parm. And it was crispy and saucy and cheesy and stacked to perfection. The salmon Limone was delicious and packed full of flavor. And the Chicken Marsala was the most tender chicken I've ever had it absolutely melted in your mouth. 2 of us split 3 very large entrees and left there absolutely stuffed! Which I was almost sad about because I couldn't make room for dessert, the dessert isn't even listed on the menu because it's made fresh and different almost everyday! Ask about what desserts are offered that day at the end of your meal. They had a variety of cake options, tiramisu and cannoli available on Saturday when we went. I didn't catch her name but our server was also wonderful and extremely attentive. I don't think she let either of our drinks even get halfway empty without topping them off for us. Not to mention the owner himself walked around the restaurant and talked to his guests and asked how everything was. The atmosphere here was so warm and welcoming and lively. One of the best meals I think I've ever had.

This place never fails. I am, well was a fan of a couple of the high end chains in our city, until I came here. Absolutely amazing service (especially with Nicole as your server), the owner comes and checks on the tables, food is phenomenal, and lots of Italians all around. When an Italian restaurant is filled with Italians, you’ve probably found the place!

Probably the best Italian food I've ever eaten outside of Italy itself! Food was so delicious, and service was great too! Their pesto was heavenly, calamari was perfect, and we ate the bruschetta too quickly too even get a picture lol. And all of our entrees were delicious and massively proportioned! And again, wonderful service and atmosphere! Thank you! =)

I can't believe I've been residing in this neighborhood for such a long time and yet I never stumbled upon this enchanting treasure. The personnel here are incredibly amiable and attentive. The cuisine is truly exceptional, bursting with delightful flavors. Oh, and let's not forget about the extraordinary bread—it's simply marvelous. Without a doubt, we enthusiastically urge you to pay a visit.

A friend and I tried Nonno's for her birthday last night. We had a fantastic evening from start to finish. We were greeted promptly and were quoted about a 20-minute wait time. It took less than 5 minutes to be seated at a lovely booth. Our server came over immediately and got us started with drinks. We ordered waters and a bottle of the Sangue de Giuda wine. We were also brought delicious bread and pesto while we perused the menu. We started with the calamari, which arrived a little on the chewy side, which we know from reviews is not the norm. The server happily took it back and had it removed from our check, and we promised to try it again on a future visit. For dinner, we ordered the Tour of Sicily and the carbonara pasta as well as a side of alfredo. We ordered the tiramisu, the cannoli, and the limoncello cake for dessert. We sampled a few bites of everything but ultimately ended up bringing home the majority of the food as servings were very generous. Everyone we interacted with at the restaurant was fantastic. We can't wait to return on a future visit. We also bought three 8 oz containers of their pesto as it was the best we've ever had. Highly recommend both this restaurant, and especially their pesto.

Small, yet inviting Italian restaurant with possibly the most welcoming and friendly staff I have ever encountered! You feel like family when you dine here. The food was beyond delicious!!! Absolutely the most delicious chicken meatballs ever! The homemade sangria (available on weekends only) was wonderful........ slightly sweet and refreshing! My husband had the chicken parmesan sub and he couldn't recommend it more. The chicken was perfectly cooked with plenty of melty cheese and tasty marinara. Highly recommend this restaurant!

What’s the best way to start off a review of a great dining experience? Should I mention the friendly host or the personable waitress Shannon or the incredible tasting dinners we enjoyed? What a treat and the portions were what so many reviews had indicated…large. The prices were reasonable and dinner included delicious warm bread along with a house or Caesar salad or soup. You will enjoy the experience as so many of the locals do. Side note - the sauce was spectacular. I would strongly recommend Nonno’s to everyone!

Had an amazing dinner. Our server Heather had great recommendations and was super helpful. We got seated on a Saturday night within 10 minutes of arriving. Pesto for bread, Gnocchi with pink sauce, one of the house specials, and the cannoli was absolutely amazing. Cannot recommend more.

Authentic Italian food experience with their flavor twist. The garlic pesto that comes to the table with the warm bread is so delicious, you'll get addicted. When I travel to Florida, I make sure Nanno's is one of my stops...maybe twice. I have tried multiple dishes off their menu and they were all 5 star in quality, taste, and portion. The service is personalized and they always make me feel like I'm home.

Finally tried Nonno's Italian Restaurant. The Bread with Pesto was fantastic. I had the Caesar Salad with Anchovies. One of the best salads I've had in a while. My wife got the Margherita Flatbread and I got the Salmon with Artichokes, Asparagus and Tomatoes. I don't usually order salmon because it's so easy to overcook, and I don't usually order dishes with Artichokes because they tend to be stringy. The Salmon was perfect! So were the Artichokes. Everything was very high quality and great service.
